Spotlessly clean and everything you need
We spent a wonderful week at this very cute and cosy cottage. Attention to detail shows throughout the cottage - it is comfortable, beautifully decorated, very clean throughout, well-equipped and well-designed. It feels like a lot of thought has been put in to ensure guests have a lovely stay. Steyning is a beautiful small town and is well-served with pubs, bakeries, cafes, tea rooms and a supermarket - these are all within a short walk of the cottage. There are lots of gorgeous historic buildings and the ancient Norman church in Church St dates back to the 11th century. The Seven Sisters are an easy drive away, and Parham House, Nyman's gardens and Sheffield Park gardens are all an easy drive along very pretty country roads and shouldn't be missed by garden lovers. Thanks, Jenny, for a lovely week. We are already planning next year's stay! Rod and Rachel Short, South Australia

Location, location, location..!
We were welcomed to Jenny's lovely, comfortable cottage with fresh flowers from the garden and a delicious cake. The cottage felt like home with personal touches and provided everything we could have needed, including plenty of information on the beautiful, historic village of Steyning and the interesting surrounding area. The cottage is very conveniently located close to shops, restaurants and picturesque, historical walks, including the ruins of a Norman castle. Brighton and the fabulous coast is an easy drive away. After spending five nights there we wished we could have explored the area further and would love to visit again and would recommend the cottage to friends and family.

Cosy Cottage
The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well kept. Seating outside at the front and back of the cottage, which was a nice touch. Parking was available in the pub car park across the road. The owner had created a folder with lots of information about the area, walks and places of interest. Would really recommend staying here if visiting the area.

I love letting out my cottage and do all I can to ensure guests have an enjoyable time. I take great pride in my cottage garden which is full of flowering plants - an ideal place to relax outside ..
I was born and grew in West Sussex not far from my cottage. I spent most of my working life teaching in adult education. Now my main job is running my cottage which I really enjoy.

Why they chose this property

The location could not have been better. Near the village centre with great shops, pubs, marvellous cafes and restaurants yet a short distance from country footpaths.
The cottage itself was just what I wanted - light & bright with plenty of character. It also had a second bedroom & and a separate kitchen. I saw the potential for creating a lovely garden. Its position at the end of the terrace meant more space & more privacy too.

What makes this property unique

The cottage has plenty of character and is such a cosy and relaxing place to stay. Guests comment on how well equipped it is.
The flower garden is an added bonus - a lovely place to sit outside in the warmer months.
It is in an ideal location for anyone who likes walking - you are so close to a network of country footpaths - yet within a few minutes walk from pubs, cafes, restaurants and independently run local shops.
Steyning is a lovely small rural community - a great base for exploring Sussex. You are only 5 miles from the coast & within easy reach of Brighton.
