We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the cottage which was comfortable and well supplied with all we needed. Well located for travelling and with a super high street providing supplies for your stay.

Many thanks for your lovely comments and recommendation.
So glad you enjoyed your stay and do hope you can return.
We spent two weeks in Jenny's lovely cottage. Excellent location just off the high street. Fortunately we were there for the market held on the first Saturday in the month. Sussex Produce is great to shop in. Emily's for lunch and evenings visiting the Star public house across the Road. Thank you Jenny for your kind hospitality. We will definitely be back!
An attractive little property which is loved by the owner who could not have been more helpful. The garden is beautiful. Although there isn’t a parking space outside, we were able to park close by.It is in an ideal location for visiting Brighton, Worthing, Chichester, Arundel and National Trust properties in the area.

Many thanks - so glad you appreciated the garden. Do stay again!
The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well kept.
Seating outside at the front and back of the cottage, which was a nice touch. Parking was available in the pub car park across the road. The owner had created a folder with lots of information about the area, walks and places of interest.
Would really recommend staying here if visiting the area.

Cosy Cottage in Charming Steyning.
The cottage was very well furnished and comfortable. There was an impressive range of local guides and information. Sadly we chose a time of very bad weather and could not fully explore the walks etc. Steyning has some good pubs and places to eat and is a great base for the South Downs.
Jenny, the owner is very helpful.

Many thanks for your lovely comments about the cottage. I am glad you appreciated Steyning as well.
Sorry to hear that you were let down by the weather.. I do hope you will be able to stay again when it is warmer and drier.
Everything supplied with attention to detail. Easy to follow instructions on everything. An ambiance that you're not living in an easy-to-clean holiday let but a user-friendly home from home. Only one thing could have made our perfect stay even better... cotton sheets - to complement the lovely large fluffy towels.

Well placed lovely character comfy cottage
The cottage is well placed within a picturesque village. Very comfortable and decorated to a high standard throughout - home from home.
New bathroom and lovely garden to sit in. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean. Only 20 minutes from the beach and within easy reach of London via the train. Steyning has lovely local shops that provide everything you need. There was a tea tray and cake waiting for us on arrival which was much appreciated. Couldn't get parked outside the house but were able to park in the local pub car park all week only 2 minutes away. Would definately recommend a stay here.

Spotlessly clean and everything you need
We spent a wonderful week at this very cute and cosy cottage. Attention to detail shows throughout the cottage - it is comfortable, beautifully decorated, very clean throughout, well-equipped and well-designed. It feels like a lot of thought has been put in to ensure guests have a lovely stay.
Steyning is a beautiful small town and is well-served with pubs, bakeries, cafes, tea rooms and a supermarket - these are all within a short walk of the cottage. There are lots of gorgeous historic buildings and the ancient Norman church in Church St dates back to the 11th century.
The Seven Sisters are an easy drive away, and Parham House, Nyman's gardens and Sheffield Park gardens are all an easy drive along very pretty country roads and shouldn't be missed by garden lovers.
Thanks, Jenny, for a lovely week. We are already planning next year's stay!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Wilkes
I love letting out my cottage and do all I can to ensure guests have an enjoyable time. I take great pride in my cottage garden which is full of flowering plants - an ideal place to relax outside .. I was born and grew in West Sussex not far from my cottage. I spent most of my working life teaching in adult education. Now my main job is running my cottage which I really enjoy.
Why they chose this property
The location could not have been better. Near the village centre with great shops, pubs, marvellous cafes and restaurants yet a short distance from country footpaths. The cottage itself was just what I wanted - light & bright with plenty of character. It also had a second bedroom & and a separate kitchen. I saw the potential for creating a lovely garden. Its position at the end of the terrace meant more space & more privacy too.
What makes this property unique
The cottage has plenty of character and is such a cosy and relaxing place to stay. Guests comment on how well equipped it is. The flower garden is an added bonus - a lovely place to sit outside in the warmer months. It is in an ideal location for anyone who likes walking - you are so close to a network of country footpaths - yet within a few minutes walk from pubs, cafes, restaurants and independently run local shops. Steyning is a lovely small rural community - a great base for exploring Sussex. You are only 5 miles from the coast & within easy reach of Brighton.
