Lovely quaint cottage tucked away very near to Eastbourne centre and station.Quiet and private setting. Very well equipped with everything needed for an excellent break,Plenty of information on arrival.

Unser Aufenthalt war super. Das Wendy Haus ist gut gelegen. Bus und Bahn sind von hier fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir haben die meisten Ausflüge ohne Auto unternommen. London ist gut mit dem Zug zu erreichen. Unbedingt muss man mit dem Sightseeing Bus in Eastbourne eine Rundreise machen.
Besonders haben es uns die Beachy Head angetan. Sehr schöne Natur!
Der Strand ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in der Innenstadt. Hier gibt es ein riesen Einkaufscenter mit zahlreichen Geschäften.
Im Haus selber, war alles vorhanden was wir gebraucht haben. Selberkochen war möglich. Handtücher und Bettwäsche waren vorhanden. Da man immer wieder etwas zur Garage von anderen Gästen gelesen hat: wir haben sogar mit unseren Honda Civic Tourer in die Garage gepasst. Es war Fingerspitzengefühl angesagt, aber es ging.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Vermieter sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Lage des Hauses, sowie der Zustand einfach Klasse, so wie beschrieben. Wir würden dieses Objekt wieder buchen!
We stayed at Wendy House for three nights. Booking and arriving could not have been any more straightforward. Tim (the owner) sent through lots of helpful information prior to our arrival and was very responsive to my pre arrival queries. The house is lovely. Comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. It’s ideally located for Eastbourne centre and is literally round the back of the train station. But don’t let this put you off. It was so quiet you wouldn’t know you were so close to the station/centre of town. Parking can be a bit of a pain. Permits are provided and easy to use but you might have to look for a parking space in the nearby streets - but this is the trade of for being so centrally located. We’d definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at Wendy House. The location is very convenient, close to the train station, shops, and seaside. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The host (Tim) was friendly and prompt in responding to questions.
Lovely house, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, comfortable beds, quiet location, handy for railway stations and shops. Slight problem with key safe when arriving ,but contacted Tim and quickly sorted. Would definitely come again .
Very central location ten min walk to beach 2 mins to town centre and Lovely new shopping centre with cinema in it. House is small but perfectly formed for a holiday rental for family of 4. Nicely decorated beach theme again adding to holiday feeling. Handy having a garage. Our car wouldn’t fit width wise as quite big but smaller car would fit fine. We had a pass to park on the road and managed most of the week right outside. Only once had to park on next street. Tim was in touch throughout great contact. Would happily stay here again.
Very impressed with quality, cleanliness and location of the Wendy house.
The kitchen was quite compact but very well equipped and met our needs perfectly.
Beds were very comfortable.with spare bedding available should it be required.
The shower worked well and there was a plentiful supply of hot water as required.
The property was ideally located for the railway station and town centre so a car would not be necessary. A garage was available but we decide for ease to park in the street. This proved to be non problematic.
Beautifully presented cottage, with all the essentials, and more, included. Wendy House was very welcoming and allowed our family, of two adults and two 7 year olds, to enjoy a comfortable time at a home away from home.
An excellent courtyard property, private, quiet, convenient location for town centre shopping, the seafront and local amenities. Will definetely book again.
When we go to a holiday rental property we normally take things like salt, pepper, soap etc to save purchasing it locally. But Wendy House came fully provisioned with everything needed - no need to take anything. Plus, it was super clean, had all the equipment you could think of and was very well decorated. Couldn't ask for more - excellent! Great comms from the owners too.

Myself and family live locally at Pevensey Bay and have lived in the area all our lives. We love the variety that Eastbourne and surrounding areas offer from the stunning coast to the tranquility of the countryside just a few miles inland. We love the outdoors and Tracy runs regularly on the South Downs and has completed the Beachy Head Marathon several times. I spend my spare time on the water either wingfoiling or paddle boarding Wendy our eldest, came up with the name for the cottage and Sophie, her sister, went along with the idea almost completely without jealousy! Having children has allowed us to sample many (if not all!) of the family attractions and activities within our area.
Why they chose this property
We bought Wendy House in September 2012 with the sole purpose of offering a holiday let. My wife used to work in Wharf Road many years ago and felt it would offer a very attractive location. It is in the heart of Eastbourne although you wouldn't know it. The feedback we receive generally always comments on the central but quiet location. The closeness of Eastbourne Station means arrival on foot is so easy and also offers unrivalled convenience for days out. Wendy House really does offer a year round base for exploring the delights of Eastbourne and surrounding areas. Our main aim is to ensure that we offer a pleasurable and comfortable stay. We feel that our local knowledge and availability if needed will provide you with the assurance that you will get the very most from your holiday.
