Idyllic peaceful 3 bed, 3 bath villa, heated pool, mature gardens, sleeps 6

Villa Benita is a stylish and spacious detached property surrounded by mature gardens. The décor is uncluttered and elegant with marble floors throughout. The private pool is 6m x 4m and 180cm deep. We have added tiled corner steps, the lower steps extends along one side of the pool to create a shallower area. The pool can be heated from May to late June, and then again in October, the cost of heating is £45 per week, which is payable direct to the owner. Comfortable poolside loungers are provided for sun worshippers or if you prefer shade you can stretch out on our comfy outside sofa. You can expect long sunny days and warm nights in Kalkan, al fresco meals can be enjoyed underneath the pergola on the poolside terrace. Our large roof top terrace, a favourite area with our guests, has a bar with fridge, pergola and comfortable seating. In the sun all day the roof terrace also has sun loungers and a BBQ, just the spot to watch the sun go down over the majestic Taurus Mountains and beautiful Kalkan Bay. The villa is 10 minutes walk from the centre of Kalkan, where you will find supermarkets, restaurants and the weekly market. The Old Town area is enchanting with its bustling harbour, elegant restaurants offering outstanding food and interesting shops.

Fantastic Villa

Villa Benita is absolutely fantastic. There is so much space both inside and out, and the Villa has everything you need for an amazing stay. The communication with the Villa owner and Mehmet who looks after the Villa locally was great. The views from the roof terrace are fabulous and it’s not too far to walk into the town. Although walking back is a bit of a slog in the heat even if you’re fit! Kalkan was very pretty and traditional with plenty of restaurants and shops. The only downside for us was the very small beach and the beach clubs were quite expensive. But other than that it really was fantastic. The Villa itself was the highlight for me, it was so perfect.

Fab stay at Villa Benita.

We had a wonderful stay in Villa Benita. It has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. The air conditioning was very welcome as was the pool, which is cleaned daily. There are lots of shady areas if you want to get out of the sun and an amazing roof terrace if you want more once the pool is in the shade. It’s also a great place for an evening drink before heading out to one of the many Nearby restaurants for a delicious meal. Communication with Rosie was very easy and Mehmet was always available if we needed anything. I would definitely stay if in Kalkan again. Thank you for a great stay.

Our return to Kalkan

Well what can I say? We loved everything about Villa Benita. Very comfortable, clean and very well equipped. The pool was gorgeous and a huge bonus was the roof terrace with stunning views across the bay. Communication with Rosie, the villa owner, was always very easy and she was so helpful with any of our requests. It was our first trip back to Kalkan since 2010 and we were not disappointed with either Kalkan or the villa. We would not hesitate to rebook Villa Benita on our next return form Australia. Lovely stay at Villa Benita

Villa Benita is a lovely villa, very beautifully furnished and fitted out. We have been coming to Kalkan for 20 years, and this was definitely one of the best we've stayed in. The setting is very beautiful, in mature gardens with Mediterranean plants, creating a lovely cool feel, even when it's hot; and being on slightly raised ground, it also gets a nice breeze. Everything went smoothly, and the communication from Rosie during the booking process and before our stay couldn't be faulted. The manager, Mehmet, was also extremely helpful, arranging additional transfers etc. Many reviews have made comments about Kalkan itself; suffice it to say that we fell in love with it the first we came 20 years ago, and we've come back almost every year since. It is really one of the most beautiful places on the Mediterranean, and the people in the village are so friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely shops and restaurants make this a fantastic place for a holiday.

Beautiful Villa with everything nearby.

This was our first time to Turkey and Villa Benita was a great first impression. The Villa was spotless and well looked after, having everything you would need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are wonderfully done. The pool was great, and a must have for the heat of the day. There are great areas to dine outside, inside or on the wonderful roof top terrace. This was when we were not trying many fabulous restaurants in Kalkan. Rosie the owner had great communication all the way through the process. Mehmet who manages the Villa was there to welcome us and was available to answer any of our questions. He also was well connected and booked some great activities for us. Everyone needs a Mehmet. We had a wonderful relaxing 2 week break, the Villa is nicely tucked away giving you great privacy. We will definitely return!

Fantasic, beautiful villa!!!!!!!

We have just returned from our fabulous holiday (our first to Kalkan) and we would definately return! The villa is fantastic, clean, comfortable and well maintained, within 10 minute walk into the main shopping area, restaurants and to the harbour. The villa has a shabby chic feel and had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed a wonderful BBQ on the roof terrace with stunning views across the bay (you can take your pick as there was also a BBQ on the ground floor by the pool area!) Mehmet (who looks after the villa) was extremely helpful and can organise transfers, trips, taxi's etc for you. All the restaurants serve outstanding food. We ate at The Fish Terrace twice. We have been to a couple of places in Turkey over the years but Kalkan is certainly the best! Thank you Rosie and Charles for everything, we will certainly be back and I will definately be recommending Villa Benita to family and friends.

Super stay at Villa Benita

Villa Benita is a beautiful property, well equipped with everything you can think of, and a super pool and top balcony with comfortable seating and stunning views. The owner, Rosie, was easy to communicate with and made sure our stay went smoothly. Mehmet, the property manager, was always available when we needed him on a couple of occasions. It’s positioned with easy access to the shops and restaurants of the old town, without too much of a hill to climb on the return. All in all a great property, adding to a great holiday in Kalkan.

Another great holiday in Kalkan!

Just back from another lovely week in Kalkan. Villa Benita is a nice villa, with two big new bathrooms and a new kitchen area. It has everything you would want from a villa, and for the price is good value for money. The caretaker Mehmet was extremely responsive and dealt with any issues (eg the flood from the aircon in the lounge area on arrival, the lack of pool lights and the leaking upstairs toilet) as quickly as possible. The roof terrace was our favourite spot, especially in the evenings.

A wonderful holiday ay Villa Benita

A beautiful villa with all mod cons and tastefully kitted out. The owner and Mehmet (who manages the villa locally) were extremely helpful and friendly. The pool and garden area were also very attractive and pleasant to spend time in. Location was very handy for walking into Kalkan town centre. Thoroughly recommended. One very minor negative - signs are needed to tell visitors to put toilet paper in bins and not down the toilet.

Perfect place for a chilled holiday

Villa Benita was perfect - close enough to walk to everything that Kalkan has to offer. The villa itself is incredibly comfortable and our party of 6 all felt it was like a home from home. My 11 year old son loved the pool and the roof top terrace meant there was sun available all day for the sun worshippers in the party. The owners Rosie and Charles were brilliant dealing with the booking and suggesting things to do whilst we were in Kalkan. We are already planning our return next year.

Fantastic place to stay, really well looked after by the local agent, relaxing and charming place.

The property is well situated with a short walk to town, it has fantastic views and offers great accommodation with everything you might need available. The local agent offers to organise trips for you and has great suggestions for excursions plus navigating the local shops and restaurants. There is plenty to do and the boat trips on very hot days are a perfect antidote to the heat. We feel refreshed and relaxed and will definitely book again. We took three teenagers - a hard to please audience - and all agreed it was the best holiday they have experienced with us in a long while! Plenty of restaurants, all good and the local people are so friendly. Shopping trips are worthwhile and the market is a must. The owners are delightful people and most helpful with the booking and transfer arrangements as well as any other queries we had. I would not hesitate in recommending this property and Kalkan, which offers beautiful scenery.

Beautiful villa in peaceful Kalkan

We have visited Kalkan in May and September both being hot and sunny but cooler at night so a perfect holiday time. Kalkan is a beautiful old town with modern additions and has a wonderful balance of busy bustle to laid back calm whether you want to relax and watch the world go by in a bar , restaurant or cafe or enjoy the many activities available from gorge exploring, to snorkelling and swimming with Turtles to shopping in the local market or shops. There is so much available from beautiful gifts to traditional items that one has to indulge in some shopping even for the most reluctant ! The Turkish people were so welcoming and friendly towards us and we felt safe at all times, day and night.Their English is mostly excellent, but having learnt a few phrases we tried to show willing ! Villa Benita was perfect for us all. It was spotlessly clean, welcoming and had everything one would want at home..and more. The balance of Turkish charm,with home comforts were balanced perfectly and everywhere there is a sun spot or shady area to accommodate all choices. The pool is not heated which is perfect as the temperature refreshes in the heat which is very much needed. We found a welcome pack of essentials which Rosie had organised via Memet, the manager. He can also book excursions, boat days aboard a Gullet, taxi's - more or less anything you want. Memet is a mine of local information whilst Rosie provides a seamless booking. An excellent team. The temptation to eat out is strong, we especially enjoyed Sade, DoyDoy,The Fountain Bar , but a BBQ or light salad on the top sun roof, or by the shaded eating area were also great fun, having enjoyed buying from the local friendly shops. All in all Kalkan is a wonderful holiday destination and Villa Benita is a superb place to enjoy it from. Thank you Rosie, Charles and Memet

The perfect place to relax with family or friends

It seemed everything was arranged for us. It was so easy, a reflection of things to come... Time is at a premium when you go away and the help and assistance of Mehmet, the manager and Rosie the owner meant we had no hassles and the maximum possible time enjoying ourselves. The Villa is immaculate and exactly as described, having a clean and well designed swimming pool, patio with loungers for relaxing and a great rooftop terrace that soaks up that Turkish sun but with handy shades too. One of the best features of this villa is its location. We found the walk to the centre to be easy, with little or no traffic and full of smells of the local flowers, mixed with views of the sea and harbour to put everyone in the holiday spirit! Of all the villas I have stayed in Villa Benita has the best service by far. Mehmet arranges everything; Gullet trips to secluded beaches and rock jumping areas, restaurant bookings and more. Make sure to ask about the gorge or doughnut rides down the river too. A glowing review of an excellent time visiting friendly Turkish people in a beautiful town they are rightly proud of. This is the second time we have stayed at the villa and we intend to return again next year. In summary; if you like the sun an things for the kids to do whilst you relax, but you don't want to be organising every trip or meal, then this is ideal. We have been with friends on both occasions and the separation of the bedrooms and the two bathrooms also works well for this as well as it would for families. A delight, a great time to relax and we can't wait to go again!

Totally Perfect

From the first communication's with Rosie we knew we have found a little gem in Villa Benita and Kalkan. Having been to Turkey numerous times over the last 7 years and loved it we thought with some trepidation to try a villa holiday in a little resort rather that the usual all inclusive. And what a joy it was. Rosie could not have been any more helpfull from the initial enquiry all the way through to actually turning up, offering help on ways to pay and suggestions of things to do, it was all very friendly and efficient from start to finish. We were met at the airport by the transfer taxi arranged through Mehmet who looks after the Villa, and we were quickly on our way in air conditioned comfort, the journey itself took arounf 1.5 hours but was not stressfull in any way with the driver being courteous and pleasant. The Villa itself was perfect, very clean and containing everything you could ever need, it was a very pleasant experiance to see the thought that had went into the little things at the Villa which made it feel like a home from home, from providing beach towels to simple things like tin foil and wine bottle stoppers, aswell as a nice welcoming pack to ensure you could russle something up after a long journey to the Villa from the UK. Everything in the Villa was perfect, and it was clear that Rosie has taken time and effort to ensure its all set out beautifully ensuring a very comfortable stay, plenty of storage space and room in all the rooms, along with satelite TV and fast internet for catching up with home. The pool was ideal, very clean and clear, it received full sun up till around 4pm then it was time to retire to the roof terrace for some more sunbathing and a pre dinner drink. The Villa itself is located in a quiet area and not overlooked to any great extent, and we could walk into the main part of the town in around 15 minutes all downhill. It is a trek coming back so would recommend a taxi back up the hill, only 10 lira so well worth it. Kalkan itself was a lovely resort, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from all at a high standard and very friendly. For us it was noticably quiet although not too quiet so although we tended to book you could walk into most and get a good table quite easily. Our favourites were Corriander for a nice family run affair through to the excellence of Kosk. All in all a brilliant holiday and can't wait to go back, it was perfect in every way, Thanks Rosie for a lovely VIlla

Simply perfect

This was our third visit to Villa Benita and our stay was as fabulous as ever. The villa is beautifully presented - being both tastefully furnished and fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need. Rosie has thought of everything but each year we find that she continues to add extra little touches to keep the villa looking so attractive and beautifully cared for. The villa was spotlessly clean, and, as ever, extremely comfortable. It was lovely to be back for another year. When not out at one of the stylish beach clubs or on a boat trip to one of the fabulous beaches, the villa has charming places to sit throughout the course of the day. Whether eating on the terrace in the shade of the pergola draped in vines and bougainvillea, lazing on one of the very comfortable sun beds around the pool, or sitting on the roof terrace looking out over the bay with an early morning coffee (or evening aperitif and barbecue), there is a perfect spot for everyone and, as ever, we enjoyed them all. It was very special to be back in the stylish and pretty little town of Kalkan and to be welcomed again so warmly in the various shops, restaurants and cocktail bars that are now our family favourites - a real feeling of belonging. It would have been rude not to have come home with at least one purse and handbag and so of course we couldn't resist ! As ever, we enjoyed some fabulous meals and a welcome gentle sea breeze in the warmth of the evenings alongside the harbour at Doy Doy and Aubergine but it's hard to beat cocktails (on the new terrace) and dinner in the always-intimate setting of Sade. It is perhaps worth mentioning that travel between Dalaman airport and Kalkan is effortless. As usual, our uniformed driver and very comfortable air-conditioned people carrier was awaiting our flight arrival and returned us to the airport on the trip home in plenty of time for the various reassuringly impressive airport security checks. The journey is only 90 minutes long and is very reasonably priced. The road between Dalaman and Kalkan provides some beautiful mountain and coastal scenery and I wouldn't hesitate to hire a car if the driver option wasn't so easy or cost effective. No stay in Kalkan would be complete without Mehmet of course who continues to look after Villa Benita so beautifully and who is always on hand to ensure that we have everything we need during our stay. What a find. Villa Benita is a beautifully equipped, peaceful villa with everything you could possibly need. The garden is very peaceful and pool area has both sun and shade for those who prefer to stay out of the sun. The roof terrace is a lovely place to catch the late afternoon, evening sun and offers gorgeous views over the bay of Kalkan, Kalkan is only a short walk away down the hill where there are many fantastic restaurants to choose from and plenty of shopping too! Fantastic Villa in beautiful Kalkan

We have just booked Villa Benita for a third time and are very much looking forward to returning to Kalkan. Villa Benita is a very comfortable, well equipped, beautifully clean villa within walking distance of the fantastic restaurants and shops Kalkan has to offer. We were met by Mehmet upon arriving who continued to be extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Villa Benita is set in beautiful surroundings almost tucked away in a hidden garden which is very peaceful and tranquil. We all throughly enjoyed the pool and terrace area and the comfortable roof terrace in the evenings. Great discovery

What a great Villa !!! Having never been to Turkey before, I was amazed at the great climate - hardly a cloud in the sky and 30deg in September !! Fantastic !! The villa easily accommodated the 5 of us for the week and enjoying the air con, the pool, the huge number of restaurants and the incredible friendliness of the Turkish people. Mahmet looks after the villa and is a font of all knowledge making it so easy to book trips that suit you. English appears to be the main language in the town, making the trips easy to enjoy as well. This villa is situated in the prime area for the town - within walking distance of the shops and restaurants but also far enough into the residential area that you have peace and quiet at the poolside. I would heartily recommend this villa and Turkey to anyone.

We have holidayed in many different locations but completely fell in love with Kalkan when we first visited in 2013. Our two sons are very active and love the outdoors, and we felt that Kalkan, quite literally provided something for everyone, and so decided to buy Villa Benita and make it our home in Turkey.


Why they chose this property

Kalkan is an unspoilt hillside town, with cobbled streets and alleyways lined with small boutiques, bars and restaurants most enjoying spectacular views of the harbour and neighbouring mountains. The whole area benefits from breath-taking views, and a dramatic coastline with crystal clear turquoise waters. Originally a fishing town, Kalkan has thankfully escaped mass tourism and remains a quiet yet sophisticated holiday destination.
It is a glorious area of Turkey, with warm and friendly people who welcome you with open arms. They love to share their wonderful home, be it by spoiling you with amazing meals on the family run Gulets, guiding you on a tour of breath taking historical sights, or enticing you into the fine dining restaurants, which offer delicious creative food, with outstanding service,

What makes this property unique

Villa Benita, is in a quiet area of the Ortalaan district of Kalkan, the villa is stylishly furnished, which compliments, the white walls and cool marble floors which run throughout the villa.
Outside we have created relaxing areas in which to eat, sunbathe and relax, using comfortable furnishings, there are areas for sun worshippers and for those who need more shade. The villa is set in a well-established garden, with olive, orange and pomegranate trees which gently waft in the breeze to one side of the heated pool, and a pergola with bougainvillea and grapes shading the dinning terrace. The views from the roof terrace are fabulous, and our guests comment, that it is the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a reviving glass of wine.
