Spacious, Homely Apartment in Mountain Village with 2 Large Outside Terraces

Spacious, high-ceilinged, homely apartment conveniently located in the centre of Bargemon. Sleeps 4 comfortably in 2 separate bedrooms, with King size bed in the main room and 2 single or 1 King size bed in the second bedroom. (There is an option of sleeping an extra 2 on double sofa bed in the sitting room). There are South facing views of valley from main bedroom and sitting room, and to the north, direct kitchen access to large outside terrace with a few steps up to another terrace for extra sun and dining options! Outside dining table seats 6 comfortably. All rooms are on the first floor, accessed by one flight of stairs.The sitting room/dining area has direct access to a modern, well equipped large kitchen with 5-burner gas hob, lots of counter top space, fridge freezer, dish washer, and use of many kitchen gadgets. We don't have a coffee machine but we do have a coffee grinder with cafetiere and Moka pots. Bathroom comprises newly renovated shower, wc and whb and is directly accessed from both bedrooms. Bargemon is a picturesque, arty village with lots of history, good restaurants, bakeries and basic essentials.

Très agréable séjour dans cet appartement qui a une âme. Nous y avons bien dormi malgré la chaleur. Les deux terrasses sont un plus pour y manger et se détendre. Le logement est idéalement situé avec une superbe vue sur la vallée et les commerces tout proches.

Fin lejlighed og god centralt beliggende

Fin funktionel lejlighed med en skøn udsigt. Dejlig gård og lille have, hvilket er fint når man bor i byen. I selve byen er der to gode bagere og et vel assorteret lille supermarked. Gode spisesteder og bar med udendørsservering på torvet.

Séjour agréable dans charmant village

Maison très agréable (surtout la terrasse !) et bien située dans le village charmant de Bargemon. Petit bémol pour l’absence de clim et de moustiquaire ! Nous avons eu très chaud dans la chambre exposée sud et le ventilateur n’a jamais fonctionné... Mais nous avons passé un très bon séjour !

Tolle Lage in den Bergen und Nähe zu Verdon

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit mit unserem Hund in diesem Apartment. Es fehlte uns dort an nichts, es war super ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation war super und Joanna war für jede Frage offen und immer per Handy erreichbar. Die Lage war perfekt. Nette kleine Restaurants 1 Minute zu fuss vom Apartment entfernt. Verdon war eine Stunde mit dem Auto entfernt und wunderschön. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt. Wir können es zu hundertprozent weiterempfehlen!!

Special retreat in the French countryside

Bargemon is gorgeous and precious. This flat let us feel fully part of it, close to the village center and with beautiful views from nearly every room. Highly recommend.

Det er en skøn gammel, men nyrenoveret lejlighed med en charmerende stue og et velindrettet køkken. Her er alt hvad du får brug for. Der er er masser af gamle ting at kigge på - her kan du lade tankerne få frit løb omkring hvordan livet var inden det hele blev renoveret. Og, så er der terassen - lige uden for køkken døren. Det er her du hænger ud - gerne med glas kølig hvidvin. Og vil du nyde det pulserende liv på torvet, så er det lige rundt om hjørnet. Her kan du følge franskmændene fra de mødes på morgen caféen, går på arbejde - til de holder fri. Vi skal leje dette sted igen. / Arne Brohuus

A pretty apartment in a fantastic location

This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment. It is decorated in a charming, homely style. The kitchen has excellent appliances and opens into a delightful outside space with 2 terraces, each having garden furniture. The location of the apartment is fantastic. It is a couple of minutes walk from the village centre which has several restaurants and a square with a cafe where you can sit and watch village life. Bargemon is also handy for the riviera and Judy recommended a trip to St. Maxine and ferry across across to St Tropez which is a great day out.

Bargemon c’est très joli ! Au centre de tout.., on peut voir beaucoup des villages et la Provence

La maison c’est fantastique! Vraiment de caractère, très propre, meublée avec goût..on vive la Provence dans les couloirs, dans les chambres, dans la cuisine très équipée. Les deux terrasses sont magnifiques. Nous avons utilisé les draps e les serviettes de la maison parce que nous avons les trouvés vraiment parfaits. Nous retournerons ici sans aucune dovute. Really lovely base for a relaxing holiday in Provence

This was a lovely apartment in the heart of a lovely village. The accommodation was full of personal touches that made it a perfect and felt like a home from home. Very easy to have a perfect start to the day by walking to the boulangerie for bread, croissants and other treats and stopping for a coffee and to watch the world go by in Bargemon's charming square and then home for breakfast in the sun on the terrace. We had some great meals out in the village - La Campana and Maitre Blanc are both recommended - but the flat was also a good place to cook and use some of the lovely local ingredients. Bargemon itself is a gem and although quite small there seemed to be plenty going on. We had good fun exploring the area, Fayence was a favourite as was swimming and rafting in the Gorge de Verdon. Everyone was really friendly and we'd really recommend both this flat and the area.

A very enjoyable and relaxing two weeks in Bargemon. Location of Gite is perfect for walking to local restaurants and shops. Parking available right outside the front door (had to park a bit further away on one occasion - evening before market day). Excellent accommodation and well equipped. Special mention to be made of Kitchen which offers very good cooking facilities and good quality equipment. The house and furnishings is very comfortable, so that cooking a nice meal and staying in to relax offered an occasional alternative to visiting the local restaurants. Bargemon is well situated for exploring the surrounding countryside or the coast and there is some spectacular scenery to be seen within the distance of a day trip (information provided by Gite owner).

The apartment was perfect - spacious and comfortable and we were particularly impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was. Joanna the manager couldn't have been more helpful. And we thought Bargemon was great with a lovely atmosphere - we made a lot of use of the excellent supermarket, bar/café and restaurants.

So glad you enjoyed our kitchen! Being foodies, we like to be able to make coffee and cook as though we were at home, even when on holiday! The supermarket has since been extended, so has a wider selection now and I noticed there is also an Epicerie in the village, along with the two Boulangeries.

Charming in every way

What a charming apartment in a beautiful quaint historical village. The inside area of the apartment is very spacious and despite being on the 2nd level there is also a significant sized multi level outside area. It is close to restaurants, a proxi and boulangeries; and many other places of interest such museums and and art studios aplenty. We enjoyed many walks within and surrounding the village itself and there were frequent activities held in various locations around the village though primarily in the town square - a place where locals and visitors mingle. The atmosphere in the village is wonderful and we were very quickly welcomed as locals. This lovely old (in the nicest sense of the word) apartment has many personal touches which made it very homely and we thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay with the intention of returning in the future. Just a short note to say that we loved the apartment in Bargemon and we had a super holiday there. Your property was ideal, very well appointed, clean and it was so nice not to have to buy the little things too, like washing up liquid, salt and so on. The beds were really comfortable and so, yes, we had a super time. Joanna was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with also. Bargemon was a lovely place, just the right size with enough of a variety of very good restaurants and a couple of bars and a good boulangerie and also charcuterie. We shared the upper terrace with probably the smallest tortoise I have ever seen! It seemed to live under the shed and came out to munch on the plant life. My wife has some pictures on her I-Pad so I will get her to e-mail me them and pass them on to you if you like. It was very cute! So thank you for everything.

Both have a love of the outdoors, running, cycling, healthy living and particularly culinary experiences! The property was purchased in January 2011 fulfilling Judy’s lifelong dream to have a home in a small, intimate, picturesque village in the South of France, with access to good food, fresh produce, culture and breath-taking scenery. No. 21 is furnished with antiques and memories of Judy’s family life in the UK.

What makes this property unique

Living in South Africa where we are used to space, the high ceilings and “airiness” of this apartment were particularly appealing. Direct access to a sizeable outdoor terrace and garden were also non-negotiable, a feature so often missing in most typical village houses. A two minute walk from fresh bread and croissants was also a key decision factor. This house is a comfortable home from home, with many special touches.
