Sunny spacious bungalow & garden near cliff paths and beaches.
Morningstar is a spacious, well-appointed bungalow, with a lovely large private garden backing on to fields. The three patios provide sunny spots to relax, barbecue in and enjoy alfresco dining.
It takes only a few minutes to drive to the sandy beaches of Rocquaine and L’Eree, the cinema, or the nearest restaurant. The stunning south coast cliff path is approximately 200 metres away, while a well-stocked shop and Post Office are a pleasant stroll through quiet lanes.

Morningstar is situated in the rural parish of Torteval, a peaceful haven away from the bustle of St Peter Port. Although the drive has generous parking for cars, a bus stop is located a couple of minutes' walk from the house. For those who prefer cycling or walking, the speed limit is 35 mph and the lanes behind the house rarely have traffic. Nowhere is very far on Guernsey!

Also, thank you for leaving our home so clean and tidy, and thank you especially for being so conscientious with the rubbish and recycling in support of the environment. It all makes a difference!
Everything about it was better than I imagined, the photos were good but when we arrived and saw it in real life it was even better and the garden was beautiful
Spacious and lovely holiday home with a beautiful garden. We loved staying in this well-equipped house and felt at home there immediately. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and were so kind and helpful.

Thank you for leaving our home so beautifully clean and tidy.
You and Nina were wonderful guests and we enjoyed hosting you.
Just home after a great week at Morningstar. Angie's house is very well equipped and nicely situated to get into St Peter Port or up to the coast. There are some great local walks up to Torteval church and beyond to Pleinmont. We had good weather, so the garden was ideal for meals and drinks. Angie and Richard were very helpful with queries and enabled us to have a lovely holiday.

Thank you - you were wonderful guests. We are so glad that you had good weather for your stay and could enjoy the garden and lovely walks around the area.
A beautiful spacious bungalow and attentive host, after a days exploring it was a treat to sit in the garden with the Robin. Our only disappointment was that we had no broadband connection, the owner left us a Sim to use but it was not the same as our phones kept losing the connection

We are glad that you enjoyed staying in our home: thank you for leaving such lovely and appreciative comments in the guest book.
It was unfortunate that the internet connection failed just a couple of days before your arrival. This had never happened before, and, in spite of our best efforts, we could not get it restored in time. We did inform you before you arrived that there was an internet issue.
We were surprised and sorry to hear that the local SIM card we bought for your use, identical to those we use successfully ourselves, did not seem to work on your phones as it should have done.
We would have been so happy to help had we known that there was a problem. As we use a similar SIM ourselves, we had no idea that yours kept losing the connection and that it didn't work as well as you would have wished.
The internet is now working successfully. We do expect to be able to upgrade to fibre in the near future, as Guernsey is in the midst of changing over, but sadly the roll out had not reached our area in time for your visit.
This is one of the best properties you can stay at, having everything you could want or need. The bungalow was only a short drive from anywhere, the island is not that big. There was so much to see and coming back to Morningstar to relax in the mature garden was a pleasure. We took Angie’s suggestion to walk along the clifftop pathway, starting from a lane almost opposite the property one evening and were amazed by the stunning views. We were even more impressed at beaches conveniently places along the path, to sit and admire the views. I cannot say how much we loved our stay in Guernsey and am so pleased we chose to stay at Morningstar. Thank you Richard and Angie for your hospitality, the bungalow was a very relaxing place to stay.

Thank you for your super review - we are so delighted that you had a lovely stay.
We had a very pleasant time and a relaxing holiday.
One thing we would sugget to improve:
The double-bed was very narrow and only one duvet , as we are not used to this, we couldn´t sleep well. Maybe other guests might have the same problem.

Hello Jorg
I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and had a relaxing holiday.
I was very sorry to hear that you couldn't sleep well. Both the beds, king and double, are standard UK sizes and there are also exact measurements of the beds given in the description of the property. The duvet for each bed is as standard for each bed size.
I wish you had let me know during your stay, as there was another duvet and two extra pillows, with a complete set of bedlinen, in the hall cupboard which you could have used.
Best wishes, Angie
We had a wonderful family get together and wedding in Guernsey, and Angie's house made it so relaxing. It was a home from home with everything you could possibly need (never been to a house with a kitchen that was so well equipped), and a wonderful location to get around the island.
Also if you are a star gazer it is a 'dark sky' garden so take a telescope or good binoculars! Plenty of walks nearby and the best beaches on the island only 10 minutes away.
If we visit the island again we would definitely book Morningstar, thank you again Angie for the use of your lovely house. Sue & Brian Smith

Great location - property needs a little TLC
Property is in a great location, near the airport and with access to the beautiful south west. The beds and bedding are in need of replacement soon. The quality is not up to standard for a beautiful property like this. The kitchen is well equipped, and the showers are excellent. There is parking for 2/3 cars but the entrance to the drive is difficult to spot and would benefit from the installation of a much more visible signage. Its also difficult to enter and leave from a busy coastal road.
Morningstar is beautiful bungalow , clean, comfortable and very well equipped .It certainly met our expectations. The area is extremely quiet and relaxing but it is an idea location for the West coast beaches (10 mins by car) and to explore the whole island. St Peter Port is 20 mins away .We were on holiday with our two Grandsons and they loved Morningstar and the Island. As the 10 year old said " I wish we could stay longer ,it has gone too quickly " Thank you.

Jederzeit wieder.
