We were a group of friends traveling through Wales, and this was my favorite stop. It was spacious and clean, and we really enjoyed the outdoor areas and being on a farm. The town is not far from the property, and the pub across the street was an added bonus.

Hearing we were your favourite spot has made my day! Thanks for taking the trouble to write the review and please visit us again!
We had a fantastic time staying at Upper Calffield Farm this summer! The house was lovely, spacious and very clean. Thank you for having us, we would love to return soon.
The property was great. As a 6'5" guy the doorways were definitely short but other then that house was good. Separating trash was different as an American but was fine. Close to downtown area. The ponies and sheep made the property great!!!

Glad you enjoyed it - and yes, my son in law is 6ft 5 so he has to duck under some of the doors!
We loved this hidden little gem in great location. We decided to visit Wales last minute as a part of our trip to the UK. We are so glad we did. Absolutely loved it.
Lovely old farmhouse with everything we needed for our family stay .. grandson loved his daily visit to feed the ponies !
It was lovely to revisit old favourites like Nolton and Newgale but also to discover new delights such as Plumstone Mountain
Our whole family were able to be together with an age range of 2 years oud to 92 year old. Very well equipped the children loved feeding the ponys. Good location to visit main attractions and beaches.

2 families with pre teens and teens. We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was cosy and we had everything we needed. The hosts and caretaker were very helpful as well. Lots to do in the area and a very detailed guide is provided in the house.
Thank you!

The property was everything is said it would be and more! Ample seating, comfortable lounges and bedrooms and great facilities with the gardens, games room and Shetland ponies. The kitchen had every kind of gadget and utensil required for any meal and the welcome pack with suggestions and ideas was very informative! Would highly recommend and will definitely return!

Thanks for your review, Brian, I am delighted we met your requirements and that you all had a great time. And yes, Sean is a real treasure!
We enjoyed a great stay at the farmhouse, everything was as described and very comfortable.
Thankfully summer weather finally arrived this year during our stay allowing us to spend a great deal of time out and about enjoying the area, which is beautiful. We made full use of the games room and the ponies received a great deal of attention.
The house is beautiful, in a gorgeous location, ideal for all of Pembrokeshire. Excellent facilities and well equipped. Lots of extra little touches. Garden was beautiful too. Rooms are lovely and spacious as are the bathroom and shower rooms. Ground floor bedroom and shower room perfect for the less able. Views from the garden are stunning. Perfect family holiday home.

Thanks so much for the glowing review. We do try hard and it's really good to know when we get it right. Please come again!
A wonderful property in a beautiful area that had everything we could have wanted.
The children loved the ponies and ran out to feed them every morning.
A special thanks to Sean for the very warm welcome welcome received and allowing us to delve into his extensive local knowledge.
The only minus point we can say is it was a bit of tight squeeze getting around the dining table when everyone was sat down, but we can say this certainly did not dampen what was a really lovely holiday.

Couldn't be happier
This is the second time we have stayed here, once for Christmas and now in summer. I can't recommend Upper Calf Farm high enough and it is now my first port of call for the future.
Amazing location, well appointed, plenty of space and Sean the onsite caretaker. Couldn't ask for better.
Well done Margaret and thank you for making us so welcome.

Thanks, Chris, that's great to hear. You chose well, the house is great for Christmas/New Year and you had fabulous summer weather which makes Pembrokeshire unbeatable. See you in Autumn/Spring?!!
Comfortable property, home from home. Large tiered well kept garden. Secluded spot, catches sun all day. Very friendly local ponies in paddock.
Only down side is, there are no footpaths for walking dogs from the property. Sean the groundsman/odd job man/ caretaker and everything else was excellent, a fountain of local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for him.
It worked perfectly for us. Plenty of space for all. Well equipped. Clean. Games room. Log burner. Enough bathrooms. Plenty hot water. Warm . Ponies to feed. We did miss being closer to the sea but hardly a chore to travel 15 -20 mins. Pub across road very friendly- pool table! Would highly recommend for an all ages stay. Caretaker a godsend!
My family and I stayed (10 of us in total) in this beautiful and amazing 6 bedroom farmhouse over the Christmas week of 2023. Yes the weather was not very good, but we loved every minute of our stay. The farmhouse was just amazing and exceptionally clean, homely and warm, everything we needed we found to be thought of in the home. The house, was seasonally decorated with a fantastic and beautiful fresh Christmas tree. Very good communication with the host, Margaret and the caretaker was very very helpful. The local village was only a 5 minute drive where we could find, Aldi, Tesco’s and quality save (for wood). We all were very happy and would definitely recommend this property. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home and we would definitely come back again.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review, Michelle. I appreciate that very much. We know the British weather is unpredictable so we do our best to make sure that our guests will enjoy their stay, whatever happens. And it is a great house for Christmas!
Very good communication with the owner and details of the area very good.
The house was perfect for all of us. Mixture of ages. The games room was well used and we were lucky enough with the weather to eat outside. Plenty of storage in the kitchen and utility that took our Tesco delivery easily. Beds were lovely and comfortable and the ensuite was in a position that others could easily use it as well. Garden was lovely and good exercise going up the steps. Lovely sitting room where we could play board games easily, with wine from the wine cooler! Kids all loved it as they were completely safe in the garden. Easy to find and park. Unfortunately, we never got to the pub. The area had lots to do within 25 minutes. Beaches wonderful. Would enjoy visiting again.

Family Holiday Great Get Together!
Our family of 10 arrived from 3 destinations for a family get together. It was lovely to be able to spend time with one another in such superb accommodation.
Everyone had their own delightful bedroom which they chose with no arguments because each bedrrom was so nicely furnished and decorated.
We loved the huge sitting room where we all watched TV, played games and talked without being cramped!
Especially nice was sitting comfortably altogether around the dinning table sharing a evening meal and breakfast. Yet because of the utility room we had plenty of space to store provisions. A well equiped kitchen to. A very warm and comfortable house indeed even in the middle of winter. And a very nice welcome pack of goodies.
Most of us enjoyed table tennis and were quite good at it!
The farmhouse is well situated to visit so many fantastic places. We had a really good value for money meal at The Farmers Arms at Mathry. Supermarkets in Haverfordwest are only a short drive and yet the farmhouse is away from all the hustle and bustle of a busy life. It is a beautiful area and we highly recommend Upper Calffield. .

I am delighted you were happy with the farmhouse and that you had such a great time - thanks for taking the trouble to tell other people about it.
We arrived on the 27th december, the house was cosy and decorated with a lovely tree and other decorations. We were a family of 8 adults and one child. It was really lovely, plenty of room for us all . The ponies were adorable. We fed them most days. The area is truly beautiful, with many coastal towns only a 20 min drive. We visited the pub over the road a couple of times but only serving drinks at present time as changing owners. Sean was only a text away ,and would gladly deliver wood for the log burner. The kitchen is really well equipped and we had no trouble cooking our christmas meal.I think it will be great in the summer months to as plenty of outside space with barbeque and garden furniture etc..We used the games room quite alot. My only minor quibble would be that i think it needs a bit of t l c. Maybe some comfier chairs and bit of freshen up, also the tv wasnt working. But other than that a great addition to the house and my sons loved playing darts and ping pong.Overall we had a really lovely stay in a beautiful house in a gorgeous part of wales. We would highly recomend and will visit it again in the future.

Thanks, Karen for such a lovely review, it is appreciated. Sean has just had a look now at the games room TV and it was just the connection to the arial had pulled out. Such a shame you didn't mention it to him as he would have sorted it. Please do come again, you were great guests and we loved having you!

Fantastic New Years Break!
Myself along with 5 other adults and 7 children had a wonderful time at Upper Calf Field Farm over New Years 2016/2017. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable and really was a home away from home. The kitchen was well equipped with the utility room joining on the side with plenty of room to hang up coats and leave boots so no outside clothing needed to come into the house. The bedrooms were all comfortable with room to unpack suitcases if needed. The house was spotless with fresh linen and towels for everyone. Although the photos on the listing are very nice I don't think they do the house justice as it is even nice when you are there! There are ponies in the paddocks out the back which all of the kids loved, they were all friendly and we weren't worried about the kids feeding or petting them (under supervision!) The house is in a great location to get to all the local beaches as well as St David's. The pub opposite doesn't look like much from the outside but the owners are very welcoming and kid friendly and us wives got rid of our husbands over there as regularly as we could! All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back. The owner, Margaret, was beyond helpful and friendly a really lovely lady which made booking and organising the trip seamless and stress free. Many thanks to Margaret.

Thanks so much for all of the comments - especially the level of detail as that is most helpful for future guests. You are right - I'm not very good at photography so I will make it my new year's resolution to do better! Thanks, Deborah and you were lovely guests!
Stayed here over the Christmas period with 8 of us. Amazing amount of space in the cottage! Well stocked kitchen & and a separate wine fridge!!! 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms / shower rooms / toilets, games room and Wifi! Wonderful beaches 20 -30 mins drive away! Popped into the local pub for a couplenof drinks and a game of pool which is a stones throw away and welcomes dogs! May just need to come back in the Summer at some point! Thank you Margaret for great communication and for Sean to he on hand with keys and to answer questions!
Excellent accommodation, very clean and spacious conferring we were a party of 10. A short distance from Haverfordwest which had shops and supermarkets. Plenty to do with fabulous beaches just a stones throw away.
Myself and my cousins booked the Farmhouse and Barn for the weekend of a family wedding and couldn’t be happier with with our stay. The house is well equipped for large groups with everything you need for a few days in Wales. Communication with Margaret/Sean was great. Would definitely recommend!
