Great holiday in a lovely spot

Had a great holiday staying at la Chaumière - John and Lesley were great hosts and the accommodation was as described, very comfortable and everything you need in a holiday home. The pool was fantastic and the location is great being a very short drive to Riberac with all the conveniences was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Relaxing Holiday

Well equipped property located in pleasant countryside. Hosts John and Lesley very helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent communications throughout the booking and our stay. Especially enjoyed the large heated pool with coloured lights. We would thoroughly recommend. E&T, Sussex, UK

Peaceful holiday

The property was lovely, very French. Everything was spotlessly clean and everything seemed to have been thought of. John and Lesley were there on our arrival and were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, they were always on the end of the phone if needed but totally respected our privacy. The garden was totally self contained which was great for our dog. The pool was beautiful and the hot tub was also lovely. The house is in a beautiful, peaceful spot but also within easy reach of local towns and villages. We will be returning at some point in the future!!

Wonderful Cottage Retreat with Amazing Pool and Sauna!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at this charming cottage rental and had a fantastic time! The highlight of the property is undoubtedly the private pool area, which was simply phenomenal. It provided the perfect oasis to relax and unwind during my stay. Equally impressive was the often overlooked wood-fired sauna, which added a luxurious touch to the overall experience. For pizza enthusiasts like myself, the addition of a pizza oven was a delightful surprise. I enjoyed baking my own pizzas and savoring them on the cozy patio. And let's not forget the hot tub! It was a wonderful bonus and provided another great way to unwind. The cottage itself has a rustic charm, which added to the overall ambiance of the place. While the internet connection was very basic, it served its purpose for minimal use. However, do keep in mind that bugs can be an issue at night, so it's advisable to bring a bug net for the bed. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and firm, ensuring a good night's sleep. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals and feel right at home. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, my stay at this cottage was delightful. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway with excellent amenities like the private pool, wood-fired sauna, and the added bonus of a pizza oven.

Idéal pour se reposer, propriétaires discrets et disponibles. Jardins et allentours très bien entretenus. Spa génial, piscine géniale. Maison au bout du village, pas de passage de voiture ni piétons. Merci pour votre accueil.

Lieux au calme et très reposantes

Maison très accueillante, ainsi que ses propriétaires joignables a tout moment... Piscine, spa, jacuzzi, le tout au calme et a l'abri des regards. Petits coins sympa a visiter, sur Bourdeuilles, ainsi que Brantôme, maximum pour les deux a 40 minutes de la maison. La semaine a été trop courte et tellement reposante ... a faire, sans hésiter. Une semaine au calme et au soleil

Merci à Lesley et John pour leur accueil chaleureux, nous avons loué début septembre pour 2 adultes et un chat . Le gite était prêt, agréable et dispose de tout le confort-c'est moins simple coté réseau mais ça fait le charme de l'endroit :-)). Le jardin, la piscine et le spa sont vraiment top. Nous avons un peu visité les environs et avons apprécié le calme des petites routes. Tres bon restaurants à Riberac aussi !!

Excellent séjour au calme

Mon mari et moi avons passé une excellente semaine au calme à la Chaumière. Nous avons apprécié l'immense piscine et le spa pour nous seuls. Nous aurions pu profiter du sauna également. Le logement était très propre et plus que bien équipé. Nous avons apprécié les restaurants conseillés par Lesley. Nous les avons presque tous testés. Nous recherchions un endroit reposant et dépaysant, nous l'avons trouvé. A une prochaine fois avec notre famille. Merci à Lesley et John

Belle location, conforme aux descriptifs

Environnement très agréable et propre, grande et belle piscine, jacuzzi très appréciable. Petit bémol pour les Français, le prix n'est pas clairement indiqué en livres sur l'annonce d'accueil, d'où un coût supplémentaire à prévoir lors du prélèvement. Location à conseiller.

vacances en confinement au top

La maison est agréable, au calme et proche de toutes commodités. Grand espace extérieur. parfait pour la détente avec le sauna et le jacuzzi. Coup de main à prendre pour des pizzas réussies :-) Lesley et John sont aux petits soins et disponibles.

Nice and relaxing

This is a lovely old farmhouse type property in a nice quiet rural setting (car essential ). Very well equipped with everything you could possibly want. Pool is fantastic with sun or shade areas. Hot tub is superb. We didn't use the sauna or pizza oven as weather was too hot but it looked great. Nice patio area outside kitchen with bar be que for eating al fresco on hot summer evenings. John and Lesley are friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. Overall excellent property, highly recommended.

Gîte très Sympa

Nous avons passé 15 jours de vacances au calme dans le gîte de Lesley et John, dommage les nuits très fraîches ne nous ont pas permis de profiter de la piscine, en revanche de belle balades et de bons petits resto à la découverte de la région. Lesley est très disponible et très réactive à nos demandes en cas de besoin. Amicalement Françoise
