Ecrins Etoile is a chalet apartment. We have decorated to give it alpine charm and taste and make it a real 'home away from home'. The regular Ski Train and Bus stop is only 50m and 150m away just outside the front of Ecrins Etoile, the free and regular buses take you to the Grand Massif ski lift in 2 minutes. The shops are 1 minute walk with a fantastic delicatessen next to the building.
We have fitted it out with top of the range Savoyard furnishings and many local touches to give it a homely feel. There is an extensive range of equipment in this MGM mountain style apartment. This warm and well-equipped apartment offers everything for a comfortable stay for 4 people at any time of the year. The apartment is very quiet and situated on the first floor. On entering there is an area for hanging coats and shelf for shoes underneath. The built-in wardrobe further down the hall offers further storage for coats; also a security safe for valuables. The hall opens out onto a delightful open plan living, kitchen and dining area with sliding doors that open onto a large south and south-west facing wrap-around balcony. There are two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms one off the hallway and one off the living room. Each bathroom has a sample selection of toiletries. There is also a separate toilet off the hall. For your entertainment there is a flat screen TV (French TV), DVD player, CD player, board games, Playstation 3, and iPod connection. There is also free WiFi access throughout. The kitchen offers excellent facilities for home cooking, such as a large fridge with small freezer compartment, ceramic hob, and full size oven. We also have a NESPRESSO coffee machine with a selection of complimentary capsules. For those of you who enjoy cooking and want to turn your hand to some of the traditional Savoyard dishes there is a fondue and raclette set. The wooden dining table seats 4 comfortably and can extend for an extra 2 people. There is also a small table and chairs on the apartment’s south-west facing balcony which means so you can enjoy al fresco dining in the summer months. The apartment is furnished with locally made embroidered linens and good quality towels. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes that offer plenty of space to unpack and relax.

However, if you feel like going out then within a 2-3 minute walk there are approximately ten restaurants which cover all tastes and budgets. Alternatively, you can pop down to the new Traiteur 'Le Pied de Poule' just on the doorstep offering all types of dishes (one of my favourites is the pate 'Grandmere' ), at reasonable prices .

We also have a ski locker and underground parking which can all be reached by the lift .

Our property is mainly a Friday changeover, however we try to be flexible if we can and last minute bookings please do not hesitate to contact me. Also for an additional price catering can be arranged if you require this service please contact us.

No ski boots to be worn in the apartment. Please do not dry towels/clothing on radiators, it could cause fire . Heated rail in the bathroom.
Please take the sheets off the bed and put them in the bathroom and empty the rubbish.

Appartement très agréable, il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un agréable séjour. Petit bémol, nous avons eu des difficultés pour trouver l'immeuble qui se trouve au fond du parking et malheureusement "Samantha" ne nous a pas été d'un grand secours et c'est dommage (cette personne n'était pas disponible) !!!!!!!!

Plein soleil in Samoens
Our third stay n this delightful apartment which says something in itself. This year we were blessed with a week of sunshine and spring conditions. The whole ambience in the village was lovely and we even found some fabulous new vintage shops. Maybe we’ll try a summer stay next…..but we do love to sk!

We love to ski and enjoy the outdoor pursuits of biking, hiking and swimming in the summer and we are always up for an adventure. If you want to take an adventure with nature, Samoens has everything with the most spectacular scenery on its doorstep, Giffre Valley. it is a truly magical place with a discreet charm, yet unquestionably traditionally French and lovely restaurants.

We wanted to make our apartment a 'real home from home' and we hope you enjoy your holiday here as much as we do.

Samoens is a village with a thriving community all year round. The centre of the village is traffic free and has a traditional French market every Wednesday. Samoens has charm and spirit and a great choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. You are spoilt for choice between mountains, lakes, forests and rivers providing the best possible playground for invigorating outdoor pursuits.

Prices are for rental of the our apartment, on a self-catered basis and include:

What makes this property unique

Our Apartment is located in a quiet area in the centre of the village with great access to all Summer and Winter past times. A few minutes walk to the main lift Grand Massif Express or alternatively you can jump on the ski train outside the apartments or on one fo the many Ski Buses. At night it is an easy walk to restaurants and bars. We also have it managed so if you need any help or information it is available.
All the linen and towels are provided along with a Welcome Pack consisting of a bottle of wine, milk, orange juice , biscuits, patisserie product, tea, Nespresso coffee and sugar. Cleaning, linens and towels included in the price.
We are usually a Saturday change over , however if you wish to arrive on another day we try to accommodate. Also, if you wish a short stay please contact us , and we will try accommodate.
