5 BR Beach House in Oceanfront Family Resort

This bright and cheerfully decorated two-story home features everything to make your vacation enjoyable. It has a fully equipped kitchen and four flat screen TVs. It also features an enclosed outside shower with hot/cold water, two large decks, tile and vinyl plank flooring, high ceilings with crown molding, professionally decorated, and four to five car parking. Each of the five bedrooms is tastefully decorated to make your stay more enjoyable.

The bedrooms are as follows:
Bedroom one. King Bed. This bedroom is downstairs.
Bedroom two. Queen bed with private access to upstairs deck.
Bedroom three. Queen Bed with private access to deck.
Bedroom four. Two twin beds
Bedroom five. Two full Beds

We have two twin rollaway beds available upon request prior to arrival.

We also have another 5 bedroom, 3 bath house across from this one so if you have a large crowd and need two houses these are a stones throw apart
Located in a privately owned community, the house is only a one to two minute walk to the beach where lifeguards are available for safety and to rent chairs, sailboats, etc. There is also an indoor/outdoor pool and two oceanfront playgrounds on site.The house is located just 10 minutes from the heart of Myrtle Beach and 15 minutes from Broadway at the Beach.

With the community's 24-hour security, you can feel comfortable letting the children go. There is miniature golf, indoor/outdoor pools, volleyball, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, biking, golf cart rental, bingo, church services, fishing, recreation center with ping pong tables, snack bar, playgrounds, organized activities for all ages, plus much more!

Located close to all Myrtle Beach attractions such as golfing (over 100 courses!), amusement parks, shows, outlet malls, museums, etc.

Baby items such as porta-crib and high chair available upon request. Golf cart rental available upon request. Prices vary depending on the season. Our community charges $12-15 per car per night for car passes. You can purchase these on arrival for $15 per car per night or you can order them at least two weeks prior to arrival for $12 per car per night. Cancellation policy: No refunds for cancellations made less than 6 months prior to arrival.
Note: Owner has the right to make any changes to the house in order to update as needed. Please contact owner with any specific needs/requests.

Great family getaway

We had an amazing stay at this Myrtle Beach vacation house! The home was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun getaway. The kids had an absolute blast—plenty of space to play and lots of nearby activities to keep them entertained. The proximity to the ocean was amazing—just a short walk and we were on the beach every day. The location was perfect: close to the beach, attractions, and great restaurants. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a great vacation spot!

The house was perfect for our family: 2 adults, 7 kids, 2 dogs. The house was clean, decent sized kitchen and family areas, and the furniture was comfortable (not always the case with VRBOs).The time we did not spend on the beach or at the pool, we spent comfortably on the large deck with our dogs during the days, and on the sectional comfy family room couch.Pam was communicative from early on, guiding us with car registrations, go cart rentals, everything we could think of to make our stay more comfortable and as little time spent on checking in and prep, and more time spent enjoying Ocean Lakes and our vacation. We only had 1 question when we arrived regarding the golf cart she had ready for us, and she responded within minutes via text.Thank you for everything, Pam! Our stay was a 10 out of 10!! :)

Amazing Family Vacation!!

Pam was truly the best host and made every part of planning our annual family vacation seamless. She had wonderful communication and answered all of my questions from the time we booked our trip to the time we left. The house was beautiful and had so many amenities included with it. House was very nice. Walking distance to beach. Rode our bikes to water park. Wasn't bad at all. The only thing that caught me off guard was the 88.00 dollars for each car to park under the house we rented.and a friend of ours just came to eat dinner with us and had to pay 15 dollars,just to park for 3 hours.

The only thing that I wasn’t happy about was the fact that the description for 2 of the bedrooms were wrong... the bedrooms with bunk beds only had one set when it was suppose to be 2 sets.. and there was another bed room with twin beds in them and they were suppose to be one twin bed and one full size bed... this jus made an issue because we had a lot of adults at or house... other then that the stay was great.

I'm glad you had a pleasant stay in our house other than the change in the beds. This was an upgrade with brand new beds that allows for sleeping for 16 people instead of 15. Instead of two separate twin bunk beds we now have a bunk trundle bed with a twin on top, double on bottom, and a double pull out trundle bed. It's much more comfortable and gives a lot of extra floor space for the room. The other room now has two twin beds which also gives more floor space. I apologize for not not letting you know ahead of time. I certainly should have done that. I'm so glad everything else was great for your stay and we hope to have you back again in the future.

Sadly Dissapointed.

The pictures and discription on Vrbo do not accurately discribe this property. The property is discribed on Vrbo as: "5 BR Beach House in Oceanfront Family Resort" this led us to believe this was oceanfront property and thus we paid a higher premium based on that. In reality the property is tightly clustered with houses and is about 5 or 6 houses back from the ocean. In fact, you cant see the ocean at all even from the deck. The picture on Vrbo shows the house with a natural wood deck but it really has a white PVC railing and has a totally different look.. I would have given it a 1 star review but the owner communicated with us and let use use her golf cart at no charge. I was in tears when I discovered that this was indeed Not beachfront property as the reason we came to Myrtle Beach was to be on the beach and hear the ocean.

I'm really sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay in our beach house. Yours is the only 2 star review out of about 50 5 star reviews. The deck has been upgraded and is brand new so this is actually a GOOD thing! I will certainly change the picture to reflect the new deck. We are a one minute walk to the beach with no traffic to cross, not directly oceanfront. We're in a great location for guests to use many many amenities plus the beach being only steps from the house. For the price of our 5br house you could hardly get a one bedroom hotel room. Our rates are excellent compared to others. Again, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay but stating the pictures don't reflect the house is based only on an updated deck. This will be corrected and I appreciate you letting me know it bothered you.

Annual Family Vacation (1st time in Myrtle Beach)

The owner was very nice to deal with and very friendly. It was our first time in Myrtle Beach we weren't sure what to expect. I will say I didn't know we were in a campsite (I didn't know what Ocean Lakes was) but we enjoyed our time and it being later in August because it wasn't too busy. I will say it was extremely busy closer to Labor Day weekend. The house was relatively clean. There are some appliance which need fixing (microwave door broken and scraped my face up as I opened it). The TV had some mechanical issues but overall it was huge (lots of room for my 3 kids). We rented the linens, umbrella and chairs. That was a help. However the umbrella needs replacing-small and constantly reversed inside out with wind (too small). We did use the rental service at the beach (umbrellas more secure and bigger for shade) $30 day. We really loved the EASY beach access (very close) and the club cart renter was a GREAT idea (a must with children in a large campsite). Kids had a fantastic time as we did as well. One more recommendation for owners- there needs to be more BBQ utensils (no metal spatula to flip hamburgers had to buy utensils). Thanks for great memories in Myrtle Beach! We will be back!!

Ocean Lakes includes campsites but our house is not on a campsite nor near the camping area. We are in the permanent housing area. It started as strictly a campground back in the 1960s but has since become almost all houses. They still retain one small part for large campers. We will certainly take care of the little suggestions you made as we do pay special attention to our house to make it suitable for everyone. We look forward to seeing you again in the future!!

Family and Grandchildren Friendly Resort

First, I must say our grandchildren ages 8-15 really enjoyed OceanLakes, & found the resort to be safe & well managed. The photo is not the house we rented and misleading. It is not pink, and both porches are in bad condition. The first step up to the house is rotten, the floors full of splinters, uneven boards, and the railings are separating, and shake. The porch had cigarette ashes all over it & the charcoal grill was not cleaned. The pickets on the upstairs porch are loose, so we blocked the doors. We own a home in the mountains, have rented many homes,condos, etc. & owned both. This kitchen is not supplied adequately for children or to prepare meals for 15 people. I had to request a toaster, a lg. salad bowl, a cookie sheet & new frying pans. The teflon was scratched so badly I wouldn't use them for our family. There are not enough glasses for a busy family, so we bought all disposable. A broken wine glass was on a shelf. The kitchen floor had been vacuumed but was dirty & sticky. The appliances are nice! The bedrooms are small & crowded, & two of the bedrooms do not have bedside tables or lamps because the beds are so close to each other. The floors are soft & appear rotted in front of the upstairs doors & the house shakes on the front. One of the bunk beds shakes & squeaks and the children would not sleep in one. The living room is comfortable, but there are no lamp or side tables. The baths are ok, but the towel holder in one fell off the wall, and the shower heads are dirty from chemical buildup. We paid $100 for a linen service, which was actually old sheets and towels of the owner. The sheets for the King Size bed are so old the elastic is gone and the sheets won't stay on corners. There were pillows on the upstairs beds with a cover and no case. We each received one towel & wash cloth. One hand towel was in the bath, so there was a lot of washing. I was surprised by the request to wash and dry a load with another load washing. I certainly did not mind removing the sheets but with a 10 am checkout, that is asking too much, & I did not wash them. Pam, the owner was very nice and accommodating and replaced or fixed things as requested. However, this home needs new porches. Having replaced one, I know the cost but safety is an issue with our family & if we go back we will find another home facing the ocean and not sandwiched between other homes. I would give the resort a 5 star but not the house.

The house was in a great location, close to the beach but far enough away from traffic. Homeowner was very attentive to our needs and was very easy to contact. Would highly recommend this property

Family vacay

Welllll. The owner was very punctual as to thing that might have been mentioned to her about fixing. Example they just showed up unannounced the 2 day there to change out the patio table. I appreciated the fixer upper but been nice to have had a heads up being I had dogs and a 1 yr old at the house that might have been sleeping. They need to fire their cleaning person we all walked on the floor and our feet turned black from dirt. Literally went to the store and bought stuff to clean it ourselves. No way they ever mop the damn floor. Then second to last day we found roaches. Nice huh? Well only one that we know of made it inside. Lol I contacted the owner and she called the exterminator. But once again failed to notify us about her doing so, he showed up and left because why spray when we are all there and my dogs. Plus we were leaving in 12 hrs understand the timing but u can’t spray for bugs when everything and everyone is around. Ok I know we still enjoyed ourselves and the amenities that ocean lakes offered definitely need a golf cart which the owner expressed to us upon arrival. Which we learned almost immediately once we drove in.

Thank you for staying with us for your family vacation. It's a GREAT place to come with families as we have so many things to do right on site. Regarding your concerns, we did let your wife know we were coming with the new deck furniture and she said it was fine. You may want to check with her on that. You said "roaches" but then said you only saw one. Here in the lowcountry it's not unusual to see ONE roach but I certainly understand not wanting that all. We have an exterminator that comes on a regular basis which is why you only saw ONE. But since you called me and took a picture of the ONE roach I felt it pertinent that we call an exterminator to let you know we respond to our guests needs and concerns. Not wanting them to spray while you were there is understandable but they were only called because of the concern you showed and I told you on the phone while you were telling me about it that I would call the exterminator and you neglected to tell me not to do so. Our cleaning person is excellent! I think the problem with the floors was from your dogs...not the cleaner. I appreciate you staying with us. Thanks again.

I personally live only 25 minutes from our beach houses so we can be there at any time that our guests need us. I have lived in this area all my life. Love the beach life! I am a retired educator having taught 5th grade for 28 years and then a literacy coach for 10 years. I have two grown boys and two Cocker Spaniel dogs.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because I used to come to this place as a young girl and just loved it. I knew this would be the area we would own beach houses one day. It's a great family environment that is gated and family oriented. Wonderful place for families to come with their children for a family vacation.
