Wonderful stay!

It was such a pleasure to stay in Kristina's property, the house was perfect and the grounds were stunning. Kristina's family all made us feel so welcome and my children loved waking up to seeing ducks, geese and moorhens on the lawn outside. Really convenient for local beaches and visiting Flamborough head, we had an absolutely fantastic weekend! Thanks Kristina!

Beautiful little getaway

What's not to like? This beautiful coach house is just what you need to getaway from it all. It's in the grounds of a larger house and the owners knocked forums after we'd arrived to check everything was fine and tell us about the local area. The area itself was so quiet (apart from the owls!) and so close to Hornsea, Skipsea and Bridlington. The only small issue was the hifi, it wasnt too great but it's good to get away from everything sometimes and communicate! Would definitely return.

The coach house

Had a fabulous 2 night stay at the coach house. The cottage was lovely , clean and so comfortable. The grounds were lovely , we took are two boys both 11 and they enjoyed their stay and loved the grounds too, gave them time to play out and enjoy the fresh air. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Would certainly stay there again !! 😀

Lovely little break

Cottage is beautiful and so clean. We stayed with our two children ages 6 and 16 months old. There was a cot-bed and high chair all setup when we arrived which was so helpful. The grounds are huge and there was so much room for the children to play outside. The cottage had everything we needed from iron, to washing machine and close enough to local Tesco for any bits we needed. The welcome pack was very helpful to tell us what was nearby. Roger came over to check we had settled in okay and to check we had everything we needed. Overall a lovely weekend and would highly recommend

Beautiful clean, well furnished relaxing and idyllic cottage

The cottage was spotless, well presented, rural but close to many amenities including lovely clean beaches, shopping, site seeing. Quiet and very peaceful with owners who were more than happy to help out with recommendations. Would love to go back.... need I say more

Absolutely beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean.

The Old Coach House was absolutely beautiful and kept to a very high standard. The owners were very helpful and friendly. They set up the extra bed for us and provided a cot and highchair. The whole cottage was extremely clean, cosy, and had everything we needed. The lawn was great for playing on. We'll definitely be going again next year! I'd highly recommend it!

Lovely country cottage

A lovely cottage in beautiful gardens full of wildlife. A light and bright sitting room and well equipped kitchen both overlooking the garden and pond. Large and comfortable bedroom, bathroom has a good shower. Convenient for seaside, town and countryside attractions. Lots of tourist information in the cottage and the owners were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Tranquility m

We arrived after a long journey and were impressed with the cottage. We were treated to two cakes and a lovely clean, fresh and beautifully appointed accommodation. We spent the week exploring the area, Filey, Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington. Also the RSPB area of Bempton Cliffs to see the gannets, razorbills and puffins. We will be back, as there are still areas to explore!! A wonderful cottage to return to!! Thank you Roger and Kristina.

Awesome homely modern cottage

As soon as we entered we knew we were staying somewhere special. The cleanliness of the cottage puts hotels to shame, this place was spotless, we're quite picky when it comes to cleanliness so noticed right away. It was beautifully and thoughtfuly decorated and lovely and warm. It was very well equipped with everything we needed and more, we especially liked the usb charge points by the plugs in the kitchen! The king size bed was beyond comfy and the duvet cover lovely and warm. Everything was thought about to provide a luxury stay, even the towels were fabulous! Roger came to greet us the following afternoon and was really friendly and helpful before and during our stay. He recommended restaurants and cafés before our stay which were spot on and much appreciated. Amazing hosts who even left a yummy birthday cake as we were celebrating my husband's birthday. The cottage is in a beautiful location, with the duck pond at the end of the garden, it's also a short walk to the beach, all locals were friendly and the beach was interesting as part of it is being eroded. It's a short drive to Hornsea which we found to be a pretty and friendly town and took up Roger 's recommdation of eating at Cafe chocolat which was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the old coach house

Delightful property and owners.

Very high quality renovation. Inside is light and airy and with the garden surroundings and outside seating it makes for a very pleasant "home". The owners are helpful but not at all intrusive, very good base for visiting places such as Scarborough & Whitby which both have excellent Park & Ride facilities and for many other places of interest such as Spurn Point & Flamborough Head and the city of York. Facilities in the cottage are good and we very much enjoyed our stay.

High spec renovated cottage in a quiet location

This is a newly renovated property, finished to a very high specification. It is very comfortable and is situated within the grounds of the old vicarage complete with duck pond, the inhabitants of which would waddle up to the cottage to say hello! The owner was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. For anyone visiting this part of Yorkshire, this property would be an excellent choice.

Lovely Cottage in beautiful grounds

We are a family of 3 and stayed over the August Bank Holiday weekend and the cottage was in a perfect location to travel the local coastline and seaside towns. The cottage was newly refurbished and imaculate it sits in beautiful grounds. The family have done a great job on this and we were made to feel very welcome on arrival (the cakes were a lovely touch - thank you). We loved our stay here and will definitely be back again.

We relocated to the East Coast 7 years ago and with a young family feel very privileged to be living in such a stunning part of the UK, with all of the fantastic beaches and cliff top walks within easy reach.

We have taken great personal pride in converting and renovating this Old Coach House to provide a beautiful cottage in lovely grounds and within walking distance of the beach.

Why they chose this property

There is a huge history with the property having been built in 1864 by the Architect William Kerby for the Vicar Gregory Bateman.

What makes this property unique
