Old farmhouse at Elba overlooking two seas

"Case Danesi", an 1700 farmhouse situated on a hill that overlooks two seas, on the one hand an olive trees garden and overlooking the bay of Bagnaia, on the other hand, the view of the sea with the wild beach of Zupignano.
The unique location between the two bays allows you to look over breathtaking landscapes ; a private garden to enjoy moments of relaxation in absolute silence .
The accommodation can host up to five people.
Guests can enjoy a garden, a parking space equipped with a roof, a private path that allows you to reach one of the most beautiful and savage beaches of the island.In addition with an extra charge you can use the tennis courts located in a short distance from the house.
In the pretty village of Bagnaia there is the most famous international sailing school of the island, managed by a German organization ( Segelzentrum Elba ).
No areas will be shared with the owners.
Around the house there are many paths for lovely walks for the Rock Castle Volterraio or for exciting mountain biking.
In a short distance ( 1.6 km ) there is also a beach in the bay of Bagnaia , as well as several restaurants with typical local food .
You must try the restaurant of Bagnaia " Il Faro" , that offers an incredible sunset on the rock of Portoferraio .
Not to miss the essence of the island is recommended to use a car to get around the most beautiful beaches of the Elba island ; there are also two covered parking spaces included.

Most amazing views

The most amazing thing about this property are the views. Views to die for from every single window. We just loved them all. We had a lovely 3 night stay at this property. It is an old farmhouse, basically furnished but has everything you would need. There is no air conditioning which given the temperature was in the mid 30s all week concerned me a little before we arrived, but it has the biggest windows and to feel the gentle breeze all night and listen to the silence rather than listen to an air conditioning machine all night was just heaven. Best 3 nights sleep I had all holiday. Owners were really good and on hand if you needed anything.

Family stay in September

we knew the bay of Bagnaia from a previous stay and liked it very much. This time on top of the hill with a stunning view to both sides of the house. The location is gorgeous if you accept that going down to the beach is a walk or a short ride by car. The house is simple (no AC, no TV), clean and well equipped with everything one needs.

ruhig mit toller Aussicht

Das Haus ist wie beschrieben einfach aber ausreichend gut und sauber ausgestattet. Ein Auto benötigt man um Strände und andere Ziele auf Elba zu erreichen. Wir haben die wunderbare Aussicht, den Garten um das Haus mit der Hängematte sehr genossen. Bagnaia ist ein netter Urlaubsort mit Segelschule und Bootsverleih, in einer schönen Bucht mit Blick auf Portoferraio. Wir haben unsere Pfingstferien hier verbracht und sind mit den Ventilatoren an der Decke in den Schlafzimmern gut klar gekommen, eventuell wird es im Sommer in der oberen Etage ziemlich warm. Ausflüge auf den Monte Capanne, der Abstieg nach Poggio, Marciana Marina, Porto Azzurro, Capo Sant'Andrea, Strand Seccione, Calanchiole bei Capoliveri, Bucht von Lacona und vieles mehr, sind sehr zu empfehlen. Alles in Allem: ein wunderbarer, erholsamer Urlaub. Vielen Dank!

Magnificent Home But . . .

Absolutely beautiful home and setting, however, there are no screens on the windows and no fans downstairs. Because of the mosquitos, to enjoy each other’s company in the evening downstairs we had to keep the windows closed and purchased a floor fan. It was still very hot. Upstairs, in the evening, we had to keep the windows closed until we went to sleep. Once we turned out all the lights, opened the windows and turned on the fans sleeping was pleasant. Screens on the windows and fans downstairs would make this stay a 10.

Conosco l'elba da molti anni e ho avuto piú di una casa sull'isola. Credo sia impossibile trovare una soluzione per vacanza cosí qualificata per caratteristiche del casale, posizione magica con due golfi visibili dalle finestre, giardino elegante e curato, quiete assoluta e piacevole venticello anche nelle notti piú calde. Toller Urlaub für die ganze Familie

Wir waren in den Herbstferien in diesem wunderschönen Bauernhaus. Es ist alles da was man braucht und die Einrichtung ist schön rustikal. Der Ausblick ist einfach ein Traum und der große Garten mit Hängematte lädt die Kinder zum Spielen ein. Dass es keinen Fernseher gab war für die Kinder sich nur am ersten Tag ein Problem :D alles schön, wir waren sehr zufrieden und können das Haus guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
