Cottage Ma-Re in Anissaras, Hersonisssos, Crete

Twenty min from Heraklion airport, 5min from Hersonissos Port, and within walking distance from the most beautiful beaches of the island, the cottage Ma-Re, is within a two hectares garden, next to a two-apartment villa. It has a common entrance, but a separate and private veranda with a sea, pool, and garden view. Tenants can use all the facilities of the garden, that is, the traditional wooden oven, the barbecue, the stone table, and the parking area. The Cottage is fully equipped with air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, smartTV, WiFi.
Hersonissos Port offers very vivid nightlife and shopping, while the area where the Cottage is, is very quiet and safe, next to luxurious hotels that offer Spa & beauty facilities. Within 200 meters there are pool bars, cafes, a pizzeria, restaurants, and a supermarket. The Golf Club, the Aquarium, and the water park Acqua Splash are 3 to 8 km away.

Cretan Wedding

My girlfriend and I chose Dr Mairi’s place to stay for our friend’s wedding in Crete. Not only was it great location in relation to everything we had going on, but the perfect spot to just walk to the beaches, and escape the hustle/bustle of the city. The 4/5 stars in accuracy of listing is only because there was a miscommunication regarding availability for 1 overlapping day. However, this was more than made up for by Dr Mairi and is a testament to their customer service. I would 100% book this again for our next Crete stay☺️

Sehr gastfreundlich

Die Vermieter sind überaus gastfreundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Die Strände in der nahen Umgebung sehr schön und gut für Kinder geeignet. Wir haben uns in dem gut ausgestatteten, sauberen Cottage sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne wieder.

Beautiful guest house close to the Beach ⛱️

Mairi and Diamantis are two incredibly great hosts. On their property is the guest house, right next to their house. This is within walking distance to several beaches. It is close to everything you need: restaurants, supermarkets, caffees, rental car agency, travel agency and of course the beaches. We were there for 3 weeks with our little baby and can recommend this guest house to everyone.

Schönes kleines Ferienhaus nahe Heraklion.

Die Villa Ma re ist ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Ferienhaus, optimal für zwei Personen. Die Vermieterin wohnt nebenan, allerdings ist der Garten und der Eingang zur Wohnung recht schön abgeschirmt, so dass man immer seine Ruhe hat. In der Wohnung findet man alles was man braucht: es gibt Spül- und Waschmaschinentabs, Wasserflaschen, Kaffee und sogar der Kühlschrank war gefüllt (was sehr nett war, da wir Samstag spät Abends angereist waren). Zur Begrüßung gab es Gebäck und eine Flasche Wein und Rhaki. Die Wohnung hat einen eigenen Parkplatz. Die Lage ist an sich nicht schlecht - nahe Heraklion, so dass man nach dem Flug nicht lange fahren muss, und nah am Strand. In der Gegend gibt es sehr viele Ressorts und daher auch viele Restaurants. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist direkt nebenan. Das einzige, was mich an der Wohnung etwas gestört hat, ist das sehr kleine Badezimmer. Dafür ist die Küche und das Wohnzimmer sehr geräumig und stilvol eingerichtet.

Dear Mairi and Diamantis with family, once again we would like to thank you for a pleasant stay at your cottage! we always gladly returned to the house, where everything was organized, to feel at home, with love and warmth. A couple of minutes of the way will lead to cozy, well-groomed beaches, a couple of steps to a supermarket. The excellent location makes it easy to get to the airport, as well as travel to the famous attractions of the island. All in all a great place for a relaxing holiday in a private atmosphere. Très bon séjour à Anissaras en fin juillet 2020

L'accueil chaleureux, la gentillesse et bienveillance de Mairi et sa famille. A notre arrivée, les cadeaux du pays nous attendaient: le miel, l'huile d'olive, le vin, les biscuits... La maison nous attendait toute propre et bien équipée. Il ne manquait rien! Toujours prête à nous renseigner, réactivé à la moindre demande, Mairi nous a gâté avec son cake fait maison. Des paysages magnifiques, des plages à proximité, plein d'endroits à découvrir: nous allons en souvenir avec beaucoup de plaisir. Merci Mairi, Diamantis et Rémi!

Maisonnette avec tout confort, clim efficace et bien utile en été, garde manger et frigo rempli pour les premiers jours, linge de maison fourni. Accueil extrêmement sympathique dans un cadre crêtois traditionnel avec vue sur la mer égée. Bien situé pour excursions vers l'est, le sud et l'ouest de la Crête en évitant le tumulte de Heraklio. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub in dem kleinen Ferienhäuschen von Mairi und Diamantis genossen und wurden freundlich von Ihnen empfangen sowie umsorgt. So eine tolle Gastfreundschaft haben wir selten erlebt. Danke dafür! :) Die Unterkunft ist super gelegen, sauber und gut ausgestattet, mit einem schönem Ausblick aufs Meer. Fantastic hosts!

What can I say to summarize our experience with Mairi and Diamantis? A text stating, “we left ice cream on your bench.” Does it get better than that? Extremely warm and informative hosts, a wonderful view for coffee in the morning, a very short walk to beautiful beaches, and you have our experience in Crete. Die Gastgeber waren so herzlich und gastfreundlich, wie man es sich nicht besser vorstellen kann. Von der Ankunft bis zum Abschied, kamen wir uns vor wie in der eigenen Familie. Mit Tränen in den Augen sind wir abgefahren. Wir möchten uns uns auf diesem Weg , nochmals bei der Familie Koulentaki bedanken. quiet, relaxing vacation :)

Villa Ma-Re is a very cosy and calm place for a relaxing vacation. We liked and enjoyed our stay very much! Shops and grocery stores are near by and the beautiful beach is just at the bottom of the little hill and not far away. Mairi and Diamantis are very nice, helpful and welcoming! We definitely want to come again :)

Una deliziosa e semplice dependance nella proprietà di Mairi... !! Ci ha accolto con premure inaspettate.. Provvista di tutto quello che serve... siamo stati solo per pochi giorni poiché eravamo di passaggio per giocare a golf..che dista solo pochi chilometri..il campo è bellissimo! Non fa nemmeno così caldo come si penserebbe..nonostante sia piena estate.. è secco e ventilato.. Dalla casa di Mairi poi ..con una passeggiata di 5 minuti si arriva al mare.. scogliera di roccia calcarea..sabbia fine e acqua calda e cristallina.. che volere di più??? Se siete in questa parte di creta venite da Mairi!:):):)

Good overall impression and hosts really welcoming

We stent a nice week in Crete and the cottage had been a good starting place to visit this island. The hire is conform to its description. Mairi and his husband are very welcoming. They even invited us in their family for Easter, a very important feast in Greece ! May be owners could improve their appartement in change for the better the bathroom, but we know that it is a less expensive flat. We can advise it.

Absolutely lovely with a beautiful view of the sea

The owners live in the larger house on the property; the rental is a smaller house that was just perfect for me. They were gracious and generous hosts and made me feel quite welcome. Though the area is home to numerous hotels, the property was quiet and secluded. Parking for my rental car was provided and I took the opportunity to drive myself around Crete. I definitely recommend this property.
