We are Cindy and Alan Zatik, we have been coming down to the keys for over twenty years. Once we stayed in Islamorada it became our favorite place in the keys and we started coming down here exclusively. One year we rented in Anglers Reef and that was it, we didn't go anywhere else from then on. We have five kids and nine grand-kids. We run an Equipment Rental business in Ohio, Alan is an avid fisherman and fishes Lake Erie in the summer and we both like being by the water. We are from Medina, Ohio. Why Jennifer Miller chose Islamorada
Yellow Tail House (Also see listing 823516) We love the layout of this unit, it gives you plenty of space to all sit down together and socialize but with four balconies you can always sneak away and read a book or just relax. The bedrooms are good size with vaulted ceilings and each comes with its own bathroom, a two suite configuration. The kitchen is nice size and gives you plenty of counter space to sit and or serve food or you can use the dining table and chairs. We like the fact that there is almost no traffic within the gate and feel comfortable letting our grand kids have a little freedom. Founders park is 2 miles north and offers a large playground, a big beautiful beach, Olympic sized pool with diving boards, toddle water park and public boat ramps. There are also many restaurants near Anglers Reef and a couple larger marinas where you can get a fishing charter or just go watch the boats come in and show off their catch. Anne's beach is at mile marker 73 and is a nice beach to hang out and have a picnic.
What makes this House unique
Islamorada is the 'The Fishing Capital of the World' Great fishing in the gulf or ocean side. There are plenty of guides you can hook up with, as well as 'head boats/party boats) where you can walk on for a reasonable cost and fish the reef (just a few miles offshore). Bring your own boat or charter with a guide (dock is an additional fee) .Try your luck fishing right out front for Bonefish, Permit & Barracuda on the flats. Or check out the mangroves for Snapper and Snook or off reef for Mahi Mahi, Swordfish or Grouper. Enjoy the views of the blue waters; swim in the large heated pool or just relax in the surrounding lush garden area overlooking the Atlantic; take a quiet stroll through the complex; take in some sun on the private beach. Restaurants: a short walk north is Hog Heaven (a night spot) and the Island Grill; a few miles south is upscale Pierre's on the Gulf and the more casual Islamorada Fish Company next door (both are next to Worldwide Sportsman (quite an attraction) for fishing tackle, clothing, and a large indoor aquarium); also a few miles south is Holiday Isle, the Green Turtle Inn & many more eateries. Some other favorites are Ziggys and Maddogs, Morada Bay, Marker 88 and the famous Cheeca Lodge.Attractions: Theater of the Sea is walking distance about 1/2 mile south, where you can see a Dolphin Show and even have a Sea Lion encounter. Founders Park is less than two miles north. Feed the Tarpon at Robbies, Boat and Wave Runners rentals within walking distance. Also Theater of the Seas is right up the road and offers DOLPHIN SWIMS and sea lion shows and more. It is a must see attraction and if you do want to swim with the Dolphins make reservations as far in advance as you can.

9 years booking at Anglers reef/ I highly recommend the subdivision
This was our first time to Islamorada and definitely won't be our last! We really loved this house and the entire community. The pool right off the ocean was perfect! The grounds are beautifully kept! The house was spacious enough for 6 of us and had absolutely everything we needed. It is very nicely decorated and very clean. We loved our vacation! This is a beautiful property and a great place to spend time in Islamorada. The home is beautifully furnished and clean and has update appliances. There are TVs in every room. The back porch is a nice place to sit and have your morning coffee. The facility as a whole is great with a very nice pool and boat slips if you wish to bring your boat. Great restaurants are all around and activities nearby. Thanks for a great week.

Fabulous development and beautiful home
We enjoyed our week in this home. Updated and clean, a short walk to the pool and beach. Beds are comfortable and the property is in excellent condition. Only negative is this home backs to the edge of the development, with the highway beyond a few trees. Visually separated and a nice small backyard with grill, but the traffic noise is loud on the back deck and is noticeable at night in the master bedroom. The white noise machine kindly provided in that room helps. We were able to sleep fine.
Also, having access to SUPs, kayaks, and bikes was fantastic. The kayaks are past their useful life and in need of replacement, but we enjoyed them. Anglers Reef is a special place. We will return.
Thank you for your kind remarks. We have been coming down to the keys for over twenty years , and one year we discovered Anglers reef and knew this was our place. Anglers reef is our paradise that we can escape to when we get a free week. After Irma the vegetation behind the homes got thinned out, it is normally about two feet thick. The HOA has replanted quite a bit to re-thicken the wall of plants again and it is about half way grown back. Most houses in Anglers whether on the back row or 50' in front of ours can hear the road, its a Keys thing. US 1 is almost always within 100'-200' of most homes. The Hurricane glass and solid 8' high metal covered wood doors down stairs, and 7' upstairs in the back of the house help a lot to knock down the noise. And the sound machine with the sound of waves breaking puts me to sleep like a baby. Thanks for being our guest, I hope we can help you in the future.

We loved everything about Angler’s Reef and the Yellowtail House made our stay that much better. The property was beautifully decorated, very clean, and with extras like bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards we were in Keys heaven!

Nice area poor sleeping and amenities.
The house was nice, clean but amenities listed we not as listed. There were only 4 towels and 2 washcloths, bikes were all broken or had flat tires. The kyaks had holes in the bottom and no adult life jackets. The bed was very uncomfortable, sagging mattress that creeks with every move. The property manager will not meet you and show you around but it's easy to find your way around. This property also has HWY in back yard so you hear a lot of traffic noise.
Hello, I am sorry to hear you were not happy with the house. I am the owner and I was down there for a month in January in the same house and took each bike to back country cowboys for service. The bikes are Sun brand ($500 bikes)_ and replaced two tubes, replaced a rusty handle bar, just because they were getting rusty,, and I bought a new pump and pumped each tire up to 50lbs. Our property manager, Jennifer did go get you two additional bikes the same day I believe.
We did have adult jackets under the air conditioner and if they weren't big enough Jennifer could have gotten you some that fit, but we were not aware that you were not able to find them.
My mattresses are from Mattress Matters, less than 6 months old and the King is a $3000 foam therapeutic mattress and the second bed is also a premium mattress. We stay down there with our families and also do not want to sleep on cheap mattresses. None of our mattresses sag, and I or any other tenant ever noticed a creaking bed. When I was there we had four bath towels for each bath, two hand towels and two wash cloths, (did you check the closets) again Jennifer could have gotten these for you.
Jennifer is available usually to meet with you, but since everything is pretty self explanatory, she does not want to stress guests out by meeting at a specific time. It is the keys way of life to be laid back, and since she lives within a mile of the home and is always available, we find it easier to have her come out only if there is an issue or a question.
As far as US-1 we are about 50 yards from it, Have a wall of landscaping and a fence behind the house, but everyplace in the keys is near US-1 its the nature of Islands with a road going through them. We go very far out of our way to provide as nice of an experience as we can for our guests, providing at no charge Keurig coffee pot with pods, we just repainted the complete inside of all of our units, replaced all our couches with beautiful new ones with firm cushions, and re stained all of our decks. Maintenance is a high priority with our properties. I apologize for problems and your perception of our property, and I hope your next stay in the Keys is more enjoyable.
Near Theater of the Sea where they do a full array of Sea life shows and have SWIM WITH THE DOLPHIN PROGRAMS. You must book in advance for them.
Also near Worldwide Sportsman which is a large store with fishing tackle and clothing for men and women. Behind it are charter boats which you can book for half day or full day trips. Further down at MM79 is BudnMarys which is a marina dedicated to offshore and inshore fishing charters. Across the street is Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park which is an interesting walk through park with nature trails and wildlife viewing. Bahia Honda state park is a camping area with the most beautiful beach for you to enjoy. It is at MM36, so 49 miles south, so its definitely a day trip. Restaurants are super abundant everywhere you look. Close ones: Islamorada fish company (behind worldwide sportsman) is a nice setting especially at night with tiki
torches and entertainment, Morada bay is an amazing atmosphere facing a beach and water with entertainment, Lorelei is a local hangout very casual bar/eatery, Lazy days at MM79 great place, Green Turtle Inn great bkfst and dinner (giant pecan roll), Mangrove Mikes cant be beat for breakfast, Ma's fish camp is an excellent value and great key lime pie, there are hundreds more. You will never run out of stuff to do. Whale Harbor Marina north about a mile will teach you how to wind surf and they rent the equipment.
