Huge place with all the comforts of home. Warm even when temps outside were zero or below. Full kitchen allowed us to cook and grill out. Fantastic experience.
This was our first experience using Vrbo and we loved it. The cabin, location and the view of the mountains was everything that was promised. Ryan met us at check in and showed everything we needed to know and we had everything we needed to make it a great experience.
This home and property are amazing! There's plenty of room to spread out and a really incredible amount of light coming into the main living area. Sunrises were especially impressive. Ryan was super helpful and accommodating, he even plowed the drive and had a fire going for us when we arrived for check-in. Would recommend, 10/10.
This location was the perfect place for our family to come together and spend quality time we have a hard time getting in the city. This beautiful log home has that comfortable lived in feeling, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy. Ryan is very sweet and quick to respond to our questions. There were 10 of us and the house had plenty of room for us to gather for different activities and give us space as needed. The views are just breathtaking. The property gave the kids plenty of places to roam without us having to worry. My 5 yr old grandson enjoyed it so much he reminds us daily that he wants to go back. We will definitely be returning for another visit!
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this house. Each time has been wonderful! This time was our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. We enjoy this area because there is so much to do. We typically spend a few days site-seeing and a few days just relaxing. The kids love exploring the property and the adults enjoy relaxing and catching up on the porch. It is so quiet and peaceful. We spent hours watching the hummingbirds. Huge thanks to Ryan for being such a gracious host and answering all our questions about the history of the area. We can’t wait to come back!
Just stayed in this cabin with 6 grand kids and 6 adults - had the best time ever. The scenery was just breath taking all the way there and then the view from the place was amazing. Ryan was a wonderful host - everything we needed for a great stay! Highly recommend this place and host. The hummingbirds were a perfect touch - they were everywhere.
We had an awesome week here...celebrated grandma’s birthday and our sons 1st birthday...everyone was content and comfortable. The sandbox, fire pit and the trampoline were a huge hit. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property.
This property had so much for the kids to do.... Trampoline, Fire pit, Sandbox, Swings of various styles, basketball and walking the 38 acres. We enjoyed the cooler weather and sitting out on the porch in the evenings and hearing the storms roll in. The inside was spacious and roomy. Ryan came by and checked on us a few times and has a very caring and great personality. Very helpful as well. Thanks for sharing your home!!
We had a wonderful time! There was plenty of room for all of us (8 adults and 3 kids)! The kids enjoyed the trampoline and sand box and the adults loved having the fire pit and bean bag toss to use. The well stocked kitchen and the grill allowed for us to make all of our meals at the house and enjoy them on the deck with the beautiful view of Pikes Peak (the hammock was a big hit with my 4 year old and brother in law), or in the house. Our main reason for picking this place was that it was secluded and away from town. Once we were there, we discovered that it was still close enough to go to the store or on adventures to local tourist attractions! It was a beautiful house with an even more beautiful view!
Ryan was a great host that had the cabin stocked with the basic essentials. There was an awesome view and very peaceful. It was nice to just get out and walk around the property.
This very large log home is amazing, beautifully situated on
very secluded tree shaded property wide open acres so there are no neighbors really close. The views from the 2 porches are incredible. Mountains everywhere even from inside you have a incredible view from the beautiful wall of windows in the living area. I was sick the first day and spent the entire day laying in the comfortable sleep numbers bed in the master and the couch in living room while just looking at the beautiful scenery from the couch and front porch. Pikes peak and snow capped mountains simple heaven . Beds were perfect, house had EVERYTHING you need in case you forget something. The house is huge and decorated with western charm and beautiful family comforting photos and memorabilia. The owner Ryan is close and responds quickly if you need anything which to us was just questions about where we could walk to on the property and where were best restaurants and of course closest breakfast place, coffee shop, grocery store and pharmacy. We flew in and bought groceries for a few meals at the Safeway going to the house. Sunscreen is needed if you plan on sitting in the sun on the porch with morning coffee or even site seeing the towns. The porch is shaded and wraps around to the back where you can enjoy another amazing view at sunset over the beautiful mountain range in the back. I wish we had stayed longer to just relax and exhale as my family did while I was not feeling well. They had a boat fishing guide already lined up and paid for but chose to just relax at this wonderful place instead. It was exactly as described if not more. There is so much to see in the surrounding areas then the gorgeous drive back to the house to unwind again. Make sure you plan a full day to see Manitou too and Garden of the Gods is wonderful too very big area can't walk it all so you drive from spot to spot get out and hike some or don't , do it with a guide or even horseback. You will probably get a little rain each afternoon but it doesn't slow you down. We will be back in the other seasons too. Ryan is the perfect host we really enjoyed staying in his beautiful home.
This was an absolute treasure of a cabin. We favorited the wrap around porch with plenty of seating, huge dinner table, the trampoline, and the abundance of room this place offered. Also getting to say hi to their sweet horse Cause was the cherry on top of our trip! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us Ryan!
This is a gorgeous property! The living room has huge windows with a view of Pikes Peak. The loft is very large, bright, and airy!!! This property appears to be lived in year-round, FYI (which I like to know as a renter). The owner leaves the house when renters book and stays on another part of the property. The owner was nice and friendly- checked in to see if we needed anything!
Ryan is a wonderful host! I have never been to a more stocked cabin with all the necessity and I mean all you forget s toothbrush there is one there, need asprin it is there need Smores it is all there. Such a great location and beautiful view plenty of space for everyone and something for everyone horse shoe pit, fire pit with seating and wood, swings, a basketball ball goal, a small sand pit and the porch the big porch and views, inside big living area actually divided into 3 different areas but still together, board games, a lot of DVD just can't say enough about this place definitely recommend and want to go again!
Very nice place and location. Super easy to get to town but be far enough away that you felt secluded. This was perfect for our family annual ice fishing tournament. Close to eleven mile and the wood stove keep us more than warm. The master suite was very nice and loft added plenty of spare bed space for the rest of us.
We were looking for a property with it all - view of mountains, some on-site free entertainment (enjoyed sledding, petting the visiting horses on property, board games & wii). We weren't expecting to have full entertainment so we packed our own games but were very pleased using what the cabin had to offer -- made for a perfect trip!
It was wonderful to get away from our "normal" life for a while and not think about COVID and all the restrictions.
Ryan's house was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the 9 of us and two dogs. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious deck and watching the hummingbirds, horses, chipmunks and an occasional deer walk by. There was something for everyone to do. We had not seen a picture of the loft and were surprised to see a queen bed with a single bunk on top and a futon/sitting area. A cozy place for our teenagers to hang out. The time there went way too fast.
This is an excellent property for a getaway. The property is ideal for larger groups and/or families. The property has everything, but most of all space. Close to hiking, rock climbing, off-roading. Added value is that Ryan is a great guy! and some of the best fly fishing on the planet
