About this property
Tuscany, Amiata Val d'Orcia, Fosso Bianco
The Lagaccione farm, 8 km from Abbadia San Salvatore, in the province of Siena, is in a hilly area and overlooks a wide and splendid panorama.
It is the "South Gate" of the Val d'Orcia Artistic-Natural-Cultural Park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.
An area that combines the unique beauty of the Tuscan countryside with renowned and precious artistic centers such as Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia, suggestive spas like Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni and Bagni San Filippo, and small villages in time.
Even the sea is not far, about an hour and a half to get to the "nature" beach of Alberese, a marine protected area in the Uccellina Park, near Grosseto. Less than an hour, however, to reach the beautiful Lake Bolsena, or the evocative Etruscan places of Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana.
Lagaccione is an old farm recently renovated, located in Val d'Orcia, near the Via Francigena, which in the Middle Ages was traveled by many pilgrims who went to Rome.
The main house has a total of 8 beds (1 double room, 1 twin room, 1 double room connected with 1 twin), a kitchen and a large terrace / solarium; the structure is surrounded by a farmyard, rich in bushes, blooms and trees, from fields of property, an olive grove, a wood by the river Pagliola.
Equipment
The structure is served by independent gas heating (5 euros / mc to be paid at the end of the stay).
The kitchen and living room are in the same large room, where you eat at the large table appreciating the warmth of the fireplace lit in the coldest periods (firewood: 3 euro / wagon to be welded at the end of the stay); during the summer you can also eat outside in the garden
Kitchen- interior: oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, 6 cooking points; exterior: Barbecue, old terracotta oven.
Living room- Wood burning fireplace, TV
Bath- Washbasin, WC, Bidet, Shower, Hairdryer
