The cottage has one double bedroom and a bathroom, making it ideal for a romantic break for two. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a woodburning stove. Outside the cottage is roadside parking for two cars and a patio area with outdoor furniture. Perfect for exploring County Durham, the north Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland, Wayside Cottage is a lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Note: This property accepts a minimum of a 3 night booking. Town: Edmundbyers is a traditional village situated south of the River Derwent, in the foothills of The North Pennines. From the village of Edmundbyers there are plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, golfing, sailing, fishing and simply appreciating the quiet natural beauty. Only four miles away is the delightful village of Blanchland. Dating back to 1165, Blanchland is reputed to be one of the prettiest villages in England, famous for being the film location for many of the Catherine Cookson novels.
