The area surrounding your villa
The location of the villa makes it a great starting point for a variety of trips. On Sunday, there is the gypsy market in La Tordera. Here you can buy truly anything; from souvenirs to food, clothing and even pets. But even if you just go to get an impression of the whole spectacle, it's worth the effort. The wonderful scents of spices and foods will delight you. The colourful stands set up throughout the old village and all the people from different regions coming together, is a fantastic experience. 80 km from the villa is the amazing city of Barcelona and if you don't fancy driving there, then there is a train route from Blanes right into the heart of the city. The public transport there is excellent and not expensive. The train ride to Barcelona passes by all the lovely villages along the coast, so have a seat and enjoy the view. The area also has plenty to offer for children of all ages. Waterworld is a water park in Lloret de Mar which is full of water slides and swimming pools, where the children can have a great time. For the smallest ones there is "Gnomo Park", on the way to Blanes; an elaborate play park with gnomes as its general theme. A holiday which you're sure to remember fondly for a long time to come!
