Fantastic family villa with pool....
This antique mill is surrounded by a garden with a large fenced swimming pool (10 x 5 m) and sunbeds, from which you can enjoy the enchanting and magnificent view of Appennine Mountains. Wooden tables are available for lunches and dinners outside.
The mill consists of a:
-GROUND FLOOR: Kitchen with dining area, Cloakroom/Utility room, bathroom with laundry area, millstone rooms preserved by the owner
-FIRST FLOOR: living room with chimney, Small hallway/ante room leading to bedrooms, Double bedroom, Twin bedroom, Bathroom
-SECOND FLOOR: Master double bedroom with bathroom en suite, Double bedroom, Queen-size bedroom, Small hallway/ante room leading to bedrooms, Bathroom.
Everything about this property is enhanced by the barn which serves as a recreation area with pool table, dart board, puzzles and games. An outdoor croquet set is also available for our guests. The pool is equipped with sunbeds, changing room and bathroom. Pool heating is available on request and is payable locally (€75 per day). House heating is also available on request and is payable locally (€ 75 per day).
The road to the mill is a mountain road. It is advisable not to come with cars with too low a trim.
Mediavalle of Serchio and Garfagnana are exceptionally green areas, where the culture and natural character have been preserved thanks to the existence of many parks and reserves. The Apennine and the Apuane mountains dominate the area and provide spectacular views.
Barga and Castelnuovo are the largest neighboring towns. Barga is the main culture center of Mediavalle area. A must see in this area is the Church of San Cristoforo with its beautiful architecture and paintings within, also nearby are the theatre of Diffidenti, Pascoli\'s House. Additionally, every year this small town is home to Bargajazz which is one of the most important international jazz competitions in the world. Castelnuovo is a splendid medieval country town. There is a wide variety of restaurants, bars, shops and there is a lively market on Thursday mornings.
The area is also perfect for those who enjoy hiking, horse-riding, biking, kayaking on mountain lakes. Trout fishing is another wonderful past-time to enjoy here in the rivers and lakes of the area.
