Amazing stay

Wonderful property with an even better location! Plenty of room for my family of 4 which includes 2 toddlers. Loved the view of the marina. Will be back for many years to come!

Great location and dog friendly

This is probably our 4th time staying at Marina Suite. We love the location and the fact that it is dog friendly. I would give our stay a 5 if it weren't for the infestation of fruit flies. Joan responded very quickly with fruit fly traps, but we still had to deal with them for our entire stay.

Romantic getaway

What a beautiful place in the world!! My wife and would go back in a heartbeat and stay right in this same rental! Waking up and having coffee on the patio looking out over the water and boats was extremely relaxing!! The restaurants and bars within walking distance are plentiful and awesome!! The beaches are pristine and empty. Just a perfect little getaway place!

We were so close to so much. Very comfortable stay. At night we were very warm but, figured the heat/ac out. Yes, the Bakery above is loud from 8a till about 3p. But, you need to check it out. The Farmers market is NOT to be missed.

Perfect location!

Our daughter was getting married at the Charlevoix Yacht club and we had a lot of boxes of decorations that had to be transported to the venue. We were on the ground floor so loading and unloading was very easy, the unit was very spacious so we weren’t crammed with all the extra boxes. The unit is tucked under a porch so there is not bright light streaming in which made it ideal for sleeping. We would definitely stay here again

Beware

For Large cleaning fee, you would expect the place to be spotless. Dust on top of everything in kitchen and several spiders. The loud, crinkly bed mat was a bit much. Sits next door to a restaurant so it was loud with workers taking smoke breaks and being completely unsanitary spitting everywhere. You can also expect the banging of empty beer kegs late at night and early in the morning.

Rainbow View - Stellar!!

We loved the Marina Suite! Visited Charlevoix for a destination wedding and wanted a "pet friendly" place so we could bring our little dog, Roxi. The location was great - downtown Charlevoix, facing the Marina and right next to the park. Plenty of room to walk the dog! The condo is on the lower level of a 3 story unit, so no stairs at all. The interior was lovely! Totally immaculate and looked like a Pottery Barn showroom inside. (Also noticed your artwork Joan - very talented!). Enjoyed morning coffee and evening wine on the covered patio. Right next to two bars/restaurants (super convenient, btw), but we never heard any noise from those establishments. Loved that we could walk EVERYWHERE downtown, including the beach. Would recommend downtown dining at Terry's Place, Stafford's Weathervane, Scovies and the Bridge Street Tap Room. Would also recommend taking the 40 min scenic drive to Bellaire, MI to visit Shorts Brewing Company. The highlight of our trip - an AMAZING RAINBOW over the marina directly in front of our front door! WONDERFUL experience and would HIGHLY recommend Joan's condo!!

A hidden gem! Great location and view, very spacious (except for the bathroom). Whenever in Charlevoix, this is where we will stay. And as a bonus, when relaxing watching TV, they have a complete cable subscription!

We have stayed in these accommodations multiple times when we visit Charlevoix. They are very comfortable and the downtown Charlevoix location cannot be beat. Would highly recommend. The owner of the property, Joan Funk, is very attentive to questions or concerns. We will certainly stay there again.

Great location - Park is wonderful.

My wife and I and our dog Roxy loved the Marina suite. We spent many hours in the park which is right next to unit. We enjoyed the great views of all the action on Round lake and the marina from the patio. We also got take out a couple times and ate on the patio. The unit was nice and spacious and comfortable. Had a small issue with code to get in , but was handled quickly. The host Joan was available and helpful — top notch host ! Had a great week people watching, shopping and walking around town. This was the perfect spot for us. Reserved Parking spot was needed on weekend, it is a short walk across street.

An excellent rental

Location was prime, space was well appointed. Units above us were relatively quiet. Parking was about a block away, which was fine, but not clear/correct in the listing on VRBO.

A few years ago, I visited some friends who have a vacation home in Charlevoix, Michigan. I fell in love with the town and it's people. It was August and I was coming from the hot, humid, south which might have had something to do with it.

However, i've also been to Charlevoix in the middle of winter and still love it!

Why they chose this property

The view is terrific!

I've always wanted to live some place where I could walk to the restaurants, bars, beach, library, shops and movie theater. This is the place!

What makes this property unique

Other than the bedroom and bathroom, the suite is a large open inviting space. In time for the 2016 Season, I'll have replaced the leather sectional with a comfy sleeper sofa and two leather recliners. Its great to be able to set at the patio table and see the marina.
