Pristine log home built in 2014. Large windows with great natural light overlooking Lake Placid. Granite countertops throughout kitchen and all three full bathrooms. Open concept main room with island seating, huge stone fireplace w/cozy seating and inviting dining table that sits ten. Master bedroom has screened in porch that can be accessed from double sliding doors. Huge master soaking tub. Great for families and equipped with cribs and a tasteful selection of toys! Large back deck (50% covered) with bbq, covered front porch and covered back patio with large sand box and custom made horseshoe pit. Hike in/Hike out in summer and Cross Country Ski in/Ski out in winter through Jack Rabbit Trail which literally runs along edge of property. Steps from the Outlook Brook Dam on Lake Placid. Family Fun

We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Edelreiss. The location was great, it felt like we were off the beaten path. The house was the perfect size for 6 adults and 3 kids. There is a large basement with plenty of toys for little ones, and the upstairs was perfect for game nights or cocktails on the balcony. We appreciated the large table for family meals. It’s really hard to say anything negative about the property. It would have been nice to have direct access to the lake via dock to go swimming. Also, the hot water ran out bathing 8 people after a day at the lake, but that is probably to be expected with a cabin in the woods. Thank you to our hosts for letting us use their vacation home!

Beautiful Trailside Home

We had a wonderful time in Lake Placid. This home allowed us to explore the Jackrabbit trails out the front door. Perfect for hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing, or cross country skiing. The home was comfortable and spacious for out 2 families of 3. It was close to Whiteface for skiing, and town for anything you need. Beautiful wood burning fireplace with plenty of wood in on a cold, snowy winter day. SUV was a must to get to the house in the snow. Owners were very nice, available for questions and accommodated of our need to stay an extra day when we got snowed in (happily). We would highly recommend this special spot!

Amazing winter getaway!

The location of this place was amazing! If you’re into snowshoeing or cross country skiing, it doesn’t get better than this! The jack rabbit trail crosses in front of the house, where you can hook up with the peninsula trails. The house itself was fabulous. If you have young children (our son is 2.5) they’ll be entertained for hours with the games and toys. The wood burning fireplace was great for warming up. We can’t wait to go back next year!

Great Stay

We came up for a Fall guys retreat of hiking and kayaking. The house is spacious, comfortable and is beautifully secluded. The short walk to the southern shore of Lake Placid has amazing views of the lake. It’s a short ride to town and shopping but feels miles away from the crowds. I’d recommend it for your next stay in the Adirondacks.
