About this property

Lakefront - Lux Log Cabin Cottage - Lake Front 5 mins Sir Sam's Ski Hill

You’ll know you are in a special place when you approach the 100-year-old stone walls that surrounds The Cooperage House—a newly built lakefront vacation rental cabin in the heart of Haliburton, Ontario.

Located on the site of a former cooperage that crafted wine oak barrels, our cabin combines luxury architecture and design with the careful conservation of Haliburton's history.

A Place with A Story to Tell

Past The Cooperage House, sunlight filters through the trees and shines on beautiful Eagle Lake. We have 700 feet of southern-exposure lake frontage here, including a gently sloping sandy beach that’s just right for small children.

We even provide canoe, and kayak so you can glide across the lake’s calm waters anytime you want!

Take a stroll around The Cooperage House property and discover relics like the walls of the cooperage’s boiler room and metal artifacts we found nearby. A hot pond on the property once thawed frozen timber to prepare it for barrel-making.

Welcome to your Haliburton Retreat

Inside The Cooperage House, find 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and spacious, designer common areas waiting to be filled with laughter, music, food, games, and the people you love.

A stunning lake-view great room featuring 20-foot cathedral ceilings, big windows, and a wood-burning stone fireplace that warms the room and provides a centerpiece for cozy conversation.

The custom, fully-stocked kitchen will be a popular hangout. A center island with barstool seating waits to be loaded with stacks of pancakes prepared on the Jenn Air range. At dinnertime, a harvest dining table seats 8-10. Add some ambient music from the iPod Bose docking station.

After dinner, everyone can enjoy the evening in their own way: chatting on the porch or by the crackling fire at the lakefront fire pit, reading or browsing the Internet in the sunroom (WiFi is available throughout the house), Kids, meanwhile, can head to the game room to play ping-pong or to watch the satellite TV.

Bed & Bath

Five tranquil bedrooms at the cabin, can sleep up to 10 guests. Bedrooms include a luxury suite on the main level with a full, attached bath, Queen-sized bed, heated floors and a private deck facing the lake; a second bedroom on the walk-out level with two queens (sleeps four); the third bedroom has a Queen size bed,(sleeps 2) an upstairs loft master bedroom with a queen-sized bed; and an upstairs loft bunk room with a queen-
sized bed on the bottom and a single-size on top (sleeps 3).

Lovely home In a beautiful location. The grounds with small trails and the waterfront are amazing. We spent every afternoon relaxing on the deck and dock, All the beds were comfortable, and the house is warm and inviting. If you forget something at home, there is Country market within a 5 min walk. We all enjoyed the hot tub, feeding the deer There is so much to do in the game room. It was a perfect stay! The communication was excellent the owner Rene really cares about her guests. Thank you!

Beautiful Cottage Retreat!!!
Magnificent!!! Magnificent! from the moment we arrived we were blown away. We anticipated a luxurious get-away, but it exceeded our expectations. The cottage is absolutely stunning with soaring ceilings and high- end finishes and family friendly. The inside of the house was thoughtfully and beautifully designed with many areas for both the adults and kids to relax and have fun. Fabulous decor, super comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. The outdoor space was spectacular the magnificent historic stone walls, bon-fire area, badminton, and bocce ball. We loved the floating island, kayaks, and stand up paddles boards. Great fishing too! Many seating areas outside to enjoy the gorgeous view. Beds and bathrooms were super comfortable very boutique hotel like. Rene was quick to respond to any questions that we had. She was an excellent host and we look forward to returning in the near future to this magical place.

Cottage Getaway
We rented the Cooperage House to getaway with my family. My parents came up from Florida and along with myself, husband, 2 year old son and dog we all enjoyed a relaxing and beautiful week. The amenities provided and accessible were great. We especially loved the media room after a long day in the sun. I would recommend this property to anyone. We had a wonderful trip.

Great Week at Cooperage House!
We had a great time at the Cooperage House! The cottage was very clean, bright and welcoming. The property has a lot of space for hanging out and playing games outside. There were a lot of games, entertainment and equipment to use through out the week. We especially loved hanging out on the dock; paddle boarding, kayaking or floating in the water on the blow up island. There was very little you need to bring yourself to keep entertained. There is an really cute general store within a 5 minute walk where you can get all your essentials including beer and wine. So no need to go far for anything. Rene was always a text away with there were any questions and was always happy to help. We highly recommend the Cooperage House! you'll have a great time!
