Nice, clean house. Owners promptly answered any question I had. Stayed there in the fall as a jumping off point for a family wedding in Montauk. Worked well for us.
We had a fabulous week stay at the house. Paul was amazing and let us arrive early in order to get in before the threatened storm. He kept in constant contact to make sure we were OK and arranged a team to come in an clean up the garden within hours of the storm stopping. The house has everything you may need and truly was a 'great escape'. The garden is completely fenced in so the dogs were completely safe.
The house is immaculate. It’s the perfect house to relax and enjoy. It has everything you need & want and nothing that you don’t. The layout was perfect for us. The yard is very big, adding to the sense of calm you feel once you are in the house. The communication with Paul & Lori was excellent. Any question received an immediate answer. Thank you so much for a fantastic week. We will absolutely be back!
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Of course, the main attraction is the pool, which is huge with plenty of space to swim and very big deep area. The pool lights at night are epic, so cool.
Aside from the pool, the house is open and light, it’s all windows and huge ceilings so you have this airy, expansive feeling just hanging out there.
The yard is beautiful and big, nice green grass and plenty of space to run around outside. We saw a Mom and baby deer right on the other side of the fence. It’s just beautiful.
The beach is nearby, close to town but far enough away with privacy to become totally relaxed.
We loved it! Hope to come back!

"Nickel and Dime"
The property was nice, but I did not appreciate the owner trying to "Nickel and Dime" me several times. I paid in full early and the transaction was complete. Then he tried to get an additional fee from me for Cleaning/Pet Fee. the Cleaning Fee and Pet Fee on their VRBO page was already paid. To ask for more money after the fact is wrong. Then we forgot a few clothing items when we left, I contacted the owner and asked him to mail them to us and told him I would Venmo him the cost of shipping. He then asked for a Courtesy Fee, plus the cost of shipping . I spent several thousand for a three day stay and this guy wants to "Nickel and Dime" me for more. Like I said the property is nice, but I will not deal with people like that again. On top of that, the house was dirty, sheets were stained, pots were dirty, and the grill was disgusting.
What could have been a tragedy (hyperbole) was rescued by Paul and his awesome generosity and fantastic home. As my family was driving to our vacation rental, I happened to notice by chance a message that our rental was cancelled because the house had no running water. This was 2 hours prior to check in. We called VRBO who put us up in a hotel overnight and emailed a bunch of similar properties. Our family settled on Paul's awesome house. And, boy did we make the right choice!
Before, i describe the house and location, i would like to personally thank Paul for being so accomodating and generous. When he heard our story, he offered to let us come to his house that night (and even offered us a bottle of wine).
On to the property, it was perfect. Beautiful property, well manicured and landscaped. Completely fenced in, so was great for our dogs to run around and not have to worry about them escaping. The pool was magnificent. The indoors was great, too! Bedrooms were comfortable and each room had AC. Living area was very comfortable and in the evening, we would sit on couches and just chat about nothing. The location was also perfect. Seven minutes to East Hampton and ten minutes to Amagansett. Close to Atlantic Beach in Amagansett and Main Beach in East Hampton.
So, what could have been an absolute nightmare turned into an absolutely fabulous vacation thanks to Paul and his incredible generosity!
My gf and I had a great stay at the house... everything was well kept, in order, and exactly like the pictures. Hosts were the "right level" of communicative, but honestly the pre-write up sent to us gave us enough info where we didn't have any other questions. Perfect stay.
We loved spending a few days in Springs. Check in and out was so easy, the home was perfectly appointed and we felt at home immediately upon arrival. Will come back again and again !
My group of 8 adults visiting the Hamptons for a wedding loved this VRBO. The pool was fantastic, the house was the perfect size for our needs (it's cozy, you feel like you are really spending quality time together), and the layout was really lovely. Paul and Lori were so easy to communicate with, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The one recommendation we would make is to fix the lock on one of the doors (it didn't lock). While the neighborhood feels very safe, a few folks in our group were wary about not having the house completely locked.
Paul was extremely responsive. He kept us updated on our upcoming trip and allowed us to check-in to property early. The house was in a great location on a quite neighborhood road. Everything was provided for our stay like linens, towels, beach chairs, etc. i would rent from Paul again!
We had a great time at Paul’s lovely home! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog and we had a great time enjoying the pool. The house was stocked with anything you could need - there were even extra desks for those of us still working remotely! Paul was very easy to get in touch with and the entire stay was great. Can’t wait to come back - thank you Paul!
We had a wonderful stay at this home on a very quiet road in east Hampton. The home is crystal clean, Scandinavian minimalist in design(which we love), with a perfectly heated pool, comfortable bedrooms. We grilled every day(picked up seafood at Stuart's), sat by the pool(there are very few bugs which I don't understand bc it's a wooded area-but not one mosquito!). The house is very quiet & while it feels remote--it's just a 10 minute drive to the center of East Hampton or Amagansett. The owners were very responsive to any inquiries we had. Highly recommended & we hope to stay again.

Relaxing and peaceful
The home is in the woods and it’s so quiet but still close drive into town and main beach. We were very comfortable in the house and felt at home. The house was well stocked with everything you would need- we used the grill several times and enjoyed many meals al fresco.
We appreciated that they allowed small pets and our little pup loved his first visit to the Hamptons and had a great time hanging out with us by the pool.
Paul was super attentive and responded to my texts right away.
We really enjoyed our visit and hope to come back real soon.

A fantastic getaway and an amazing house!!
My girlfriend and I (plus two other couples) were looking to see the Hamptons during a trip to NYC and booked with Paul and Lori. Paul was easy to reach via text so we had zero issues (we actually had a phone call before we got there just to make a connection and Paul gave us some tips on fun things to do). The house was immaculate and Paul and Lori left welcome cookies and refreshments in the fridge (nice touch!). The bathrooms are brand new and the house is bright and airy. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away (quiet street and big backyard) and have easy access to the Hamptons restaurants and beaches (we loved Sam's in town and the secret spot Gerard Point)!

About the host

We have two children and enjoy spending time in the Hamptons with friends and family! We live in New York City and have been coming to East Hampton for the last three decades. We love our home and look forward to sharing it with people that love lounging by the pool, kayaking in the bay and playing at the beach!
Why they chose this property
We spent years looking for the right property in a great, relaxed neighborhood. The Springs section of East Hampton has been a magnet for artists for decades and is not far from the family home we visited over the last 3 decades. Our house is open and bright and has an expansive back yard that was a requirement for our two children.
What makes this property unique
The living room is full of windows that face the heated pool and big green backyard. We immediately fell in love with the open floor plan and modern vibe. Town of East Hampton Rental Registry Number 16-1024
