About this property

Chic spacious fresh home & garden ideally secluded between village and beach.

This generous modern comfortable chalet bungalow with well established gardens is conveniently located half way between Croyde Bay and the village with pubs shops and restaurants. It is perfect for families max 4 including infants and over 24s mixed friend groups only. Not ideal for the elderly. This home from home makes the perfect base for a coastal break with an oblique view to the sea from the master bedroom. Big patio doors open out from the generous lounge to a sunny, private, mature garden with a lawn, picnic table and seating, perfect for relaxing and evenings watching the sunsets. A well equipped kitchen with dining table means you can chat whilst you cook. I have restricted occupancy to 4 due to the dining arrangements. 2 children who don't want to share a room or TV? 2 couples who both want comfortable Double beds? 3 Friends who want their own space at the end of the day? This is perfect for you. The master bedroom with Kingsized bed is upstairs with sloping ceilings, velux fitted blackout blinds, loads of storage and an oblique view to the sea. On the ground floor are 2 further bedrooms, a single and a double both generous , light and airy with tvs, blackout blinds and room for a travel cot which is provided. Snuggle down in award winning Soak and Sleep feather&down duvets and pillows with White Company pure cotton linen and toppers throughout for a perfect night sleep. Note that no Bath and Beach towels are provided. A tasteful double aspect comfortable lounge is a suntrap and with twin 3 seater sofas perfect for relaxing together. This opens up with large patio doors to a generous area and lawn to the side surrounded by mature trees and planting. Superfast WiFi and on demand TV and Netflix will keep you entertained when you're not relaxing in the garden. A wet room with shower is available off the utility room for the sandy adventurer. The family bathroom with full sized bath and shower over is on the ground floor. A wetsuit washing and drying area is provided in the back garden and the surfing beach is a short walk so no getting in the car wet and sandy and no changing in the car park! BBQ and picnic table enable leisurely al fresco eating and deck chairs to fall asleep afterwards in the sun. A former highly rated B&B, I'm pleased to say its popularity has transferred successfully to its life as a holiday home from home. Unfortunately no safe disabled access or elderly suitability. For electric cars there is a charging station nearby but charging at the house is not permitted. Trouble booking? Use a newer computer that supports IOS 14.2. Beautiful holiday cottage near the sea
The house was spotlessly clean, modern, very well equipped and Jane had thought of every possible need for a family on holiday. I appreciated the outside washing lines and hose for the wetsuits. The garden was pretty and well tended. Jane promptly replied to any query. I would highly recommend. We brought our own sharp knives and needed them. Those in the drawer not great, but everything else was brilliant.

Lovely Croyde
Nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Croyde is lovely. No welcome pack - just lots of laminated notes. The kitchen seemed new and modern but tricky for cooking in (grill is part of the oven, no pasta bowls or sharp knives). However the location is great for the beach and the beds were comfy.

Location of property was great, beech and village a quick and short walk away. Property has everything needed, owner was really helpful with any questions we had and quick to reply . Overall a great holiday had by all.

Lovely spacious bungalow and so close to beach and shops with beautiful gardens
I recommend staying here as the bungalow is spacious and welcoming. You are greeted by a beautiful garden full of bright flowers a bench with good off road parking and space on road if needed. The back garden is full of mature plants and 2 seating areas and space to hang washing. The bungalow has everything you need with a lovely kitchen and large lounge. Downstairs there are a generous single and double room, bathroom with toilet and bath with shower above, plus wetroom by back door ideal for sandy surfers to shower off. Upstairs a generous double room. The beach is 10 -15 min walk away on a lovely path and the village similar distance. If you walk across the beach you can get to Baggy point easily for the Tuesday craft fair. We had a lovely time and would love to come back. Brilliant and very quick communication from the owners. 2 steps into front door, small step down to kitchen and step into back garden. Drive is gravel.

Perfect holiday home
From the moment we booked the service was amazing! Jane was extremely helpful and kind. On arrival the property was exactly as pictured, extremely clean and tidy and super comfortable. The garden also was beautiful and really lovely to spend time in. The property itself is ideally situated, only a short walk from the beach and village… couldn’t have been better. We would definitely choose to stay here again!!!

What an lovely property located in the perfect spot.
Lovely clean and welcoming property. Jane was helpful before and during our stay. On a private road, it's in the perfect location for crodye beach a 10 min walk and the same to crodye for food and drinks. Staunton sands is also near by and perfect for beginner surfers. The Bus stop is at the top of road too if you fancy riding the top deck for those sea views. We'll definitely be staying again!

Lovely well appointed property in a fantastic central location for beach and village centre. Walking distance to beach, pubs, restaurants but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxed. Great facilities in the property, easy to find and accessible. We had a lovely weeks and would definitely return.

A wonderful week in Croyde
We stayed at this property whilst on holiday for a week in Croyde and I couldn’t be happier with our choice of accommodation. Jane as the host was extremely helpful, both before our stay and during. The property itself is very nicely decorated and comfortable; a true home away from home. The location is fantastic, equi-distant from the village and the beach. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely consider booking again.

Great homely bungalow with a cosy feel
Really enjoyed our stay whilst house hunting in the local area. Situated in a lovely village and the beach is only a 5 minute walk away. Jane (the owner) was always on hand for any help and gave us great advice on local areas to check out. We was sharing with two teenagers so having 3 TV's was a god send 😊 thanks again Jane

Lovely little holiday gem
We arrived in sunshine and parked on the large driveway. We then walked up to bungalow through the cottage garden. Unlocking the door we walked into the light and airy entranceway. Next we explored the property room by room. Two of the three bedrooms are on ground floor. They were beautifully decorated in a nautical style , next we went into the spacious lounge which has a double patio door leading to the cottage garden which has decking on one side and lawn at the side. Once again this room was warm and welcoming. The kitchen is plenty big enough for a family to use comfortably. There is also a utility room/wet room with toilet at the back of the kitchen. This proved useful when we got soaked in the rain. The third bedroom is in the roof. Again it was decorated in subtle neutral colours. The only downside of this room was the low angles ceiling which for taller people could be a bit of a hazard. Overall the property is beautifully presented, comfortable and has all the facilities required for a perfect holiday. Like all of the owner Jane’s portfolio of properties you know you are going to have a top quality home from home experience.

I've lived in Croyde most of my life and love it. I've been a gardener and run a successful B&B from this house. This has given me an insight into what people need for an enjoyable holiday. I travel a lot and stay in many different types of accommodation which gives me a good idea of what works and what isn't so great! It is important to me that what I provide is of a high quality as I know how important holidays are for people and how much we all look forward to them.

Why they chose this property

It is in a quiet road that doesn't lead anywhere so traffic is not a problem. The back garden is a suntrap with a beautiful magnolia tree. I actually bought the place for the tree back in '87! I've since extended and improved the place to give it a generous sunny feeling. I was an interior designer before sidetracking to my other passion as a gardener so it has been fun trying to get the right light holiday feel in the house. What makes this property unique

You can walk to the middle of the beach from the house without going on the main road or over the dunes in about 10 minutes. The village with its excellent pubs, restaurants. shops and coffee shop is also a 5 minutes walk away. Croyde is a lively village often having live music and deck chair cinema etc but the house is sufficiently far away not to be disturbed by village hubbub.
