The house has a beautifully landscaped garden and 2 outdoor dining areas. The house itself is very simply decorated, just the basics, but has everything you need to spend a relaxing, comfortable holiday. It is clean, spacious, airy, and the best part, the incredible ocean views from every window.

Very beautiful manicured garden a world away but next to everthing

You will need a car but everything else is 5 to 20 minutes away. Beaches great. And a 10 to 15 minute walk. Views from everywhere great. Everything you need and if not Claudia will tell you where and how to get it. Light houses stunning . shop close to town. But still the beaches not crowded and warm enough to stay all day. Must like nature as you are in it. But with every modern convenience. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Overpriced and underwhelming

The location of this property is great - it’s a very quiet hamlet near to several beautiful beaches. Claudia was a fantastic host and provided a warm welcome and useful local information. However the house itself is far from perfect. It felt like we were camping indoors - no proper curtains, no sofa, a very basic kitchen and an old bathroom with a quite unpleasant smell. Our main complaint is that we were not given full access to the garden in the photos, which felt a bit cheeky as that was one of the reasons we chose the house to rent. The owners and their family were also very present which we found awkward at times. The local people and food were great and we would definitely return to the area but not the house. Overall we felt the property was overpriced and underwhelming.

I'm sorry you were so disappointed by your stay. It is very hard to please everyone, and it is a bit hard to understand that the other guests who stayed left 5 star reviews and lovely comments, so possibly you expected something else? In the photos you can see the house exactly as it is, with the curtains, NO sofa, and the kitchen also...what you see is what you get. The kitchen has everything you need and is very spacious. Why were you expecting something that was obviously not in the photos? The photos of the garden are to show the view from inside the house, and the garden in the front is more than ample enough for our guests. As far as the smell, no one else mentioned it and I wish you had mentioned it when you were here so I could have checked it out and gotten to the root of the problem, if there was indeed one. You being unhappy with the house was no reason to leave it behind so filthy. I asked you to use the outdoor shower(which has HOT water as well...How many houses with outdoor showers with hot water do yo know of?) to clean off the sand when coming home from the beach, but that request was obviously ignored, as there was almost more sand in the house than on the beach. It might be useful for you to write to the owner/manager of the future homes you rent with a list of everything you expect so that they can then either be prepared for your visit, or decide not to rent to you.

Experiencia fantástica

Emplazamiento formidable y rodeado de naturaleza y vistas preciosas. Claudia fue muy cercana y simpática y la casa estaba limpia y con todas las prestaciones necesarias para pasar un tiempo de descanso y relax. Si estáis pensando en visitar Ortigueira, Viveiro, Estaca de Bares y emplazamientos cercanos, este emplazamiento es inmejorable.
