Placed in a great location, in the heart of the city and next to the areas of greatest interest, this exclusive and elegant two-room apartment is the ideal place for those who wish to stay in the center of Malaga with family or friends.

The Accommodation, Distribution and Equipment

​​90 square meters, and a capacity of up to 6 people, it is a very special property, decorated with the greatest attention placed on the smallest details and overlooking one of the most popular areas of the historic center.

The living room is attached to a fully-equipped kitchen with a minimalist style whose fusion with the living room has been taken care of. It will have a round dining table in the living room, with capacity for 4 people, in addition to a two-seater sofa (which can easily be converted into a double bed). From the kitchen, you will have access to an outside terrace with dining table for four people. It also has two large bedrooms decorated with great care and with perfect natural lighting. The first of them has a double bed and large closets. The second bedroom, with another double bed, also has access to an outside terrace with an impressive panoramic view of the city. The bathroom is also fully equipped and has a washing machine.

Equipment and facilities: lift to the seventh place, with use of stairs to reach the apartment, flat screen TV, WiFi High Speed ​​Internet, air conditioning hot and cold, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, juice squeezer, kettle, toaster , coffee maker, complete set of kitchenware and kitchen utensils, bedding, towels, washing machine, fridge, freezer, iron, ironing board and hairdryer.

The building has an elevator to the penultimate floor, stairs must be used to reach the property.

A huge disappointment we cannot recommend this apartment.
The property was very badly maintained and needed two and a half days by builders to try and rectify some of the problems. We were unable to find alternative suitable accommodation in Malaga or we would have moved out immediately before unpacking. The property management company were helpful but unfortunately not all the issues could be fixed. The foul smell coming from both bathroom showers required the windows being open all the time in bathroom two. The window in the ensuite was small and made little difference open or shut, so the foul "drain" smell permeated the bedroom. The shower in bathroom two was unusable as the shower doors were part missing. The refrigerator was sub standard, far too small - the door was unable to close properly resulting in the fridge not getting cold enough. There was no freezing facility so no ice cubes or frozen food could be bought. The kitchen lacked basic utensils and cleaning materials. The oven was the smallest I have ever seen - it would not have been out of place on a camping site. The air conditioning unit in the main bedroom was leaking water on to the floor the night before we left. It was a thoroughly disappointing stay.

Stunning Views!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here despite a few flaws. The best qualities of this property is the convenient location and stunning views! Located just on the edge of the old town, you have all the city sights and restaurants within an easy walk. You are just a few doors down from the Mercado Central de Atarazanas. The apartment has both a front and back patio offering views of the mountains in front and the old town in the rear. It was still a bit cold when we were there but we still enjoyed coffee outside in the morning and a glass of wine at night, taking in the city views. The building was surprisingly very quiet for being in the city and a building being constructed across the street. We slept soundly. The friendly management team was easy to work with, responding to any questions quickly by email and held our luggage in their office while we toured the town until check in time. Our only issues were with the bathrooms and these could be easily remedied: 1) As noted by another reviewer, there is a small of sewage that emanates from the guest bath. The bathroom is clean, so I believe it is a building issue and not unique to the unit. If it cannot be fixed with the building, at the very least we suggest having a plug in defuser or some sort of air freshener to mask the smell. 2) In both showers, there is no shelf to put your soap or shampoo. An over the shower caddy or some kind of shelf would be helpful. 3) Hooks in the bath for towels or clothes would be helpful. We would put the towels on the balcony to dry as there was no place to put them in the bath. 4) Ceiling in the master bath needs painting/cleaning Otherwise, a very enjoyable stay.

Malaga Penthouse
Love Malaga, great city. Spacious two bedroom with two balconies with lovely views at the edge of city center. Clean. Elevator goes to 8th floor and you must walk to 9th where unit is located. Check in process was easy with only negative being the need to walk to the rental office and then to the apartment (no cars allowed in city center) while pulling luggage. Only downside to the apartment was shower drains were very slow, with main bathroom requiring very fast showers to avoid flooding the room (looks to be an ongoing issue given a prior user caused water damage to floor and trim). Also air conditioning units are not drained properly, causing mold on the wall in the living room (it was there when we arrived) and dripping onto the floor in the main bedroom (we had to use bath mats to protect the floors and use it sparingly). Hard to say why but there is a sewage smell for a block or two along the river where the apt. is located, often finding its way into the unit and ever present in the building lobby. No fire escapes or emergency exits (worth noting) only the main stairs next to the elevator. (The 3 star rating is based on the sewer smell, poor drainage in showers and leaky air-con).
