We are Martin and Vicky and we live just around the corner from Out of the Blue. We have renovated the cottage and tried to make it feel like a home from home for our guests. We love living in Kington which is a friendly and old fashioned country town which has made us welcome since we moved here a few years ago.
Martin purchased this Cottage in 2017
Why Martin chose Kington
The perfect place for a 'get away from it all ' break. Summer or winter the cottage has great charm and lots of period features.

Lovely Little Cottage
The cottage is well situated and well equipped. The wood burning stove keeps the property nicely warm. The upstairs tends to get warmer than the downstairs as heat rises but without the stove the property could be a tad cold on a winters night (even though there is a central heating system installed).
The sofa bed is a little uncomfortable and is best used by sleeping with the head at the bottom.
Overall though this is a lovely cottage. Communications with owners are easy and friendly.
We thought your cottage was lovely and really enjoyed our stay. Was a shame we didn’t receive the key code until after our visit but luckily we made contact with you reasonably quickly after we arrived. The fire was a great asset as it was a pretty cold and windy evening. Thank you.
Short stay for walking
Lovely cottage, well equipped and excellent location for Offa's Dyke footpath.
A little gem!
This is a beautifully presented property, with plenty of character. It is tastefully decorated throughout, whilst retaining many of its original features. With the woodburner going it was cosy in the evenings.
Kington has fabulous walking straight from the door. We'd highly recommend staying here.
Thank you Neil. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and would love to see you again
Very sweet cottage
This charming cottage is edge of Kington, an easy walk from the centre, en route for Offa's Dyke. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners kindly left some milk and bread in the freezer and a bottle of wine and bag of crisps, so we felt very welcome.
