Great place to stay, great setting. Love the area.
Great area! Lots of wildlife to enjoy looking at. Friendly property manager and very help with questions we had for the visit..
We LOVED Ennis! The cabin was amazing- we loved coffee on the porch and looking into the valley. The cabin was clean and inviting, the host was responsive and kind! Such a great stay!
Location and front porch views are the best! Fantastic proximity to fly fishing on the Madison, Town of Ennis with plenty of restaurants and shops, Yellowstone, hiking destinations, airport and much more!
This cabin was a perfect base of operations for visiting Montana. Moose and other visitors were plentiful and appreciated from a distance. Cabin is located a few minutes from Ennis restaurants and services.
Absolutely wonderful location and home. Ennis is a fun little town conveniently located near Yellowstone. House has everything you could possibly need and owner is very responsive. Cannot wait to return this winter!
The property was amazing. Waking up every morning drinking coffee on the front porch watching the moose and deer in the pasture was awesome. Please stay here if you're looking for a place in this area.
After a cancelled trip in April 2020 and then another day's delay this time around, we *finally* got to experience this lovely little cabin during our couple days in Ennis, and it was totally worth the wait! The owners/property manager were so gracious and communicative along the way, and the cabin itself was the perfect hidden little getaway for our visit. So private and it had everything we needed in a home base as we explored the local area. Thank you so much, hopefully we'll be back on our next trip to MT!
Friends have said, "You visit Jeffers/Ennis so much, why don't you just buy a place there?" Well, it's because we feel like we HAVE a home here (we've stayed at this same cabin 5-6 times in the last few years). Each visit we can count on a clean, comfortable cabin in a beautiful setting. (This visit a red-tailed hawk was feeding its chicks within 100 feet of our bedroom... not too many things more natural than that!) Of course, we'll certainly be back!
My husband and I booked this cabin for the last half of our vacation and it was nothing short of AMAZING! Coming from our Jackson hole stay, Ennis was a great central location to our further travels to West Yellowstone, Bozeman, Big Sky and Gardiner/Mammoth hot springs! The 360 degree Mountain views with snow made it nothing short of a winter wonderland! Many windows in the cabin to see the views, we even spotted a Bald Eagle. Lots of wildlife around the cabin… especially deer! We even had a sweet horse greet us one evening upon returning from our day of activities! Definitely recommend staying at this little slice of heaven with breathtaking views!!

Great place to stay
The cabin is comfortable, well appointed and conveniently located. We appreciated the homemade cookies and muffins. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because I did not like having to buy mandatory damage insurance instead of paying a refundable damage deposit. I'm also not fond of being asked to strip the bed and take out trash for checkout when we're being charged a cleaning fee. Total fees and taxes added 67% to the base nightly rate.
Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views. Unfortunately the neighborhood cat ruined the porch chairs so we were unable to set outside. Enjoyed the small town!
This is our third visit in the past year. Each time we really enjoy the cabin - and it allows us a great starting-off point for a variety of unique Montana trips. We’ll certainly be back!
This cabin is our favorite place to stay in Madison County when there are just two of us. The cabin has beautiful mountains to the East and a range to the West. Deer, Moose, Fox, Horses, Mules surround the cabin. Plus a resident outside cat. Cabin is cozy and clean. Just the right amount of space for two. Thanks to Pam, we enjoyed cookies and yummy bread/muffins. Madison County is busier than ever but the cabin is peaceful and quiet.
Words cannot even begin to describe this property and our stay. Every detail was perfect. Pam, the property manager, was so sweet. From entering the cabin and having fresh baked goodies, to a farewell text, she made sure we were well taken care of. The views from the porch of this cabin are spectacular. Wildlife, horses, comfortable and cozy. This property has it all. We will definitely return.
Everything about the property was amazing! It couldn’t have been a better place to allow us to experience beautiful Montana!

About the host
Hosted by Lindsey Gustafson
I grew up in Ennis, MT on the ranch and graduated from Montana State University. I currently still live in MT with my beautiful wife and 2 daughtes. I cherish the ranch and the life lessons ranching taught me.
Why they chose this property
I was fortunate enough for my late Grandmother to allow me to put a cabin on her ranch. Many projects later it is complete and provides my family and I a place we can call our own on the family ranch.
What makes this property unique
This is our place to get away form all of the everyday stresses in life. A place for me and my family to relax and enjoy all of the simple pleasures Montana has to offer. Every night offers views of whitetail deer coming off the river to feed in the hay fields. In late summer you also will see sandhill cranes, ducks and geese landing in the fields. At night if there is no cloud cover turn off the porch light and step out on the lawn and look up at the milky way galaxy. Without the light pollution the star lit sky will take your breath away!
