Imagine a gentle breeze the perfect temperature, and add the sound of waves from the nearby beach as you sway in a hammock under our traditional palm palapa. Maybe you are enjoying an ice cold beer or a freshly blended margarita in your dream afternoon in the tropics? Totally do-able with our fully equipped kitchen steps away. Enjoy sun-tanning or relaxing by the pool by either of our two pristine pools or better yet walk a few yards down to the sand and surf in front of the private beachfront complex with the beach chairs and umbrellas provided. A day at the beach is incredibly easy from Margaritaville. Less than a minute walk away from the quieter north side beach, this location makes coming to and from the beach a snap for getting refreshments or taking a quick break mid-day to escape the heat. The tiresome chore of packing up is minimized as our house is closer to the ocean than you would park by the main surf break. No sweaty uphill trudging with beach paraphernalia required. Nothing compares to a Los Delfines beach location for a beach holiday!

Margaritaville is a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom home nestled in the Los Delfines beachfront complex between 2 swimming pools, under palm trees. The home features a new private garden and quiet meditation or yoga area . The first bedroom is a master bedroom with a king bed, and a private ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has another king bed, and also has the option to split the king bed into 2 twin size beds. There is a private ensuite bathroom for this bedroom as well. The third bedroom has a king bed plus a twin bed and a private bathroom. This king can be split into twin beds, making 3 twin beds for this room possible. The house is the perfect set up for a group of up to seven people travelling together. The house has all the linens, bath towels, and beach towels you will need. Note there is air conditioning controlled by a remote control in all 3 bedrooms, and ceiling fans throughout the house for your comfort. The views are of the pools from the front and back of the house or the enclosed private courtyard with a palapa and lounge area to enjoy as well as a built in BBQ.

Our favorite spot to relax is actually outside under the palapa in the courtyard. The outdoor dining and lounge area can be enjoyed morning until night. There is ample seating around a large round table that is perfect for eating, playing games or just lounging and reading. Try the hammock for an indulgent afternoon siesta. Everyone can keep the cook company when they are at the grill. A fan and lights in the palapa allow for socializing well into the evening. New garden plantings were designed for scent, color and for hummingbirds to visit.

Margaritaville is just seconds from the north beach or a quick 8 minute flat walk down to the plaza and main surf break. It is a wonderfully quiet location during the day when you will hear the surf break and at night when you will hear crickets, far from the late-night noise of the downtown area.

The host was very responsive, friendly, and sent through great trip detail packages about the area and their house. The property manager, Theo, also had great recommendations for an in-house chef, which we had one night, and transport to and from PVR. Sayulita is an incredible little spot and Margaritaville is in a great location, quick to walk everywhere, easy access to great food, beach, pool you name it. Also Pharmacies and markets close by. The house itself is a very group-friendly layout, but with steps inside the house, I wouldn't recommend it for kids who are not fully walking or have an understanding of ledges and steps. The outdoor space is incredible and feels safe and secure, especially when traveling with kids. We felt safe the entire time we were there. Thank you again to Jeff, Brenna, and Theo!

Loved this place!

We spent a week in Sayulita and stayed at the Margaritaville house. It was a great house with plenty of room for all. It is in a perfect location to restaurants and shopping (probably not even a 10 minute walk) and just few steps from the house and you are on the beach. We rented a car, but I wouldn't bother with the expense next time - it really wasn't needed. We will definitely be back.

Our group of four was very satisfied with our vacation at Margaritaville. It was our first time visiting Mexico off of a resort, so we were a little hesitant to have to take care of ourselves! The house is beautiful, and it is just a short little walk down a sidewalk past two pools in the complex to get to the gorgeous beach. Our favorite feature of the property is the outdoor seating and dining area where we sat and had our meals when we didn't go to one of the many restaurants that are within walking distance. Our housekeeper visited on weekdays and was very thorough. We would definitely stay here again.

Our trip was fantastic and I highly recommend the stay. Home was clean and well maintained with the daily housekeeping that was friendly and thorough. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the AC worked VERY well. Theo the property manager was very responsive and helpful- he even coordinated a cook to come a couple nights. They made some delicious local dishes and even cleaned up afterwards (this was an additional cost). We felt extremely safe here and never once had a poor experience on site. We rented a cart to get around and it was nice to also have parking and electricity available. While there were no TVs the Wi-Fi worked great even when we streamed to personal devices. Definitely a great spot and trip- we’ll be back.

Not on the beach, theft rampant, no hot water, no water pressure...

A much better situation would be to get two rooms at the Villa Amor. This Margaritaville property has several problems which are insurmountable. First and foremost the theft problem...After talking (in Spanish) with the security Grandparents, (I am convinced the theft was accomplished by the grandchildren of the security) it was obvious theft occurs regularly and is orchestrated by the security themselves. We were literally on 100 meters down the street for 20 minutes when things were stolen. Tennis shoes, backpacks, hats, sunglasses... and yes, they did try the little mini safes. But hey, if the will steal shoes, why even come to this part of town? No hot water, no water pressure, had to use outdoor shower. Even after contacting "the caretaker" there was no response. This is definitely not upscale, that is a joke. No privacy, you are right on the community pool, people look right into your window...The photos make you think differently, the art of fraudulent advertising... I have been to Sayulita many, many times. This was the only bad experience. This property is controlled by the security people for their own economy...

House was great. Clean and as described. The location is tough to beat. Quick walk to the beach and short golf cart ride or walk to downtown. Owner and property manager were easy to communicate with. Another blissful week in Sayulita

This is the second year in a row we have rented from Jeff and the property was equally excellent (minus the beach front views of Delfines #1). The house was beautiful, very clean with fun and unique decor. The rooms were all very comfortable and each with its own bathroom. The kitchen had absolutely everything we could think of. Property managers were very responsive to our needs. We will definitely be booking another visit through Jeff in the future!

Very pleased with our stay at Casa Margaritaville. Owners were very helpful, offered a lot of information for an enjoyable stay. Perfect location, beach front area, nice swimming pools and garden area. Kitchen offered all necessities for cooking, appreciated the daily housekeeping services, as well, Corina was great. fabulous stay!

We really loved our stay here. The house is in a great location steps from the beach and 10 mins walk to the center of town, with other restaurants and shops just around the corner. We especially liked to walk through the hippy craft market on our way into town. The house itself is spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The house had a water cooler so you don't need to worry about buying drinking water and the bottles were replaced almost as soon as they ran out, we hardly had to wait - excellent service. We also LOVED that the cleaning lady came 6 days a week, she cleaned, changed towels, made beds etc every day - what a luxury! The office management were responsive to any needs and got things attended to quickly. While we were vigilant about locking doors and putting valuables in the safe, we didn't once feel unsafe around the house or anywhere in town. We definitely recommend this place and hoping we can return again!

We had a wonderful stay in Margaritaville. The house is very comfortable and is in a great location. The shared pools were great and the beach access was wonderful. The house and complex are great if you have young babies/kids. Also, we loved that we were not on a hill - made it easy to walk into town with a stroller.

May 2011, I went with my wife, mother-in-law, two sons in their early 20s and a friend of the boys'. The condo is large enough, and well laid out, that we were all comfortable. The palapa - patio is a great feature and gives a second living room. There are actually two pools, one on each side of this unit and if there are a batch of kids in one, the other one is usually empty. Beach access is perfect, about 100 feet, and the beach walk to town center and the surf break is short and enjoyable and with a few bar/restaurant operations on the way. We rented only a small car and made the boys bus to PV but wound up doing it ourselves. Easy, cheap and fun. I won't even bother with a car next time.

Margaritaville Vacation

First off, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the property was nicer than the pictures show, I mean the pictures show you what you can expect but the house was beautiful. When we arrived we were able to park off street, access the property, and settle in. No equipment issues, no missing keys, no unmade beds. We had a wonderful housekeeper and a helpful but non intrusive property manager. During our two week stay we never had the need to call for any type of service or repair, it was completely stress free! We got to know our neighbors quickly and enjoyed their company while sitting at the pool or playing in the ocean, but when we wanted to get away we simply retreated into the privacy of our enclosed palapa. Town Centre was only a short 5 minute walk and the restaurants were abundant, inexpensive, and served delicious food. There were ample opportunities to learn how to surf, take Spanish lessons, shop, and explore the surroundings without ever once having a desire to head to the frenetic pace of Puerta Vallarta. When it was time to head back to Margaritaville in the evening, we were able to leave the noise behind and fall asleep to the sound of the pounding surf, rather than amplified bass music. Finally the locals were friendly and welcoming. We visited the animal shelter and found that the town of Sayulita has a free Spay and Neuter program that depends on donations from whomever can help, so we helped as best we could. Margaritaville, with its recent renovations, is a gem and should not be missed.

Loved it, we're back in 2011

My family spent two weeks at Margaritaville in Winter 2010, and had a terrific time. Because we have small kids, the private courtyard made this head and shoulders above any of the other units in this particular complex - we didn't have to worry about the pools. The outdoor grill is a really nice touch too. I also think that "Los Defines" is the right distance from the main part of town - not too close, not too far away. The "muffin lady" and the "tamale lady" and Celia's market made feeding the family easier too. The owners have done an excellent job with this home, both inside and out.

Why they chose this property

After visits to Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, and Puerto Vallarta, we finally found a town in Mexico that had a lot to offer beyond a typical tourist experience. Sayulita has a nice beach, great beginner surf, as well as a very nice people living here. We have always felt very welcome and safe here, the people are great, and our kids love it. There is always something to do, and we tend to relax well as a family while visiting. We have been visiting since 2001, and although the town has changed, the character of the place remains the same.

What makes this property unique

The house is great for large groups, with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, it is great for people planning a vacation with extended family such as in-laws. With our 3 girls, the 3 bathrooms make for less time arguing over the shower and sinks. The house has great outdoor deck areas, including places to get away from your group and recharge if necessary, plus areas to have the group gather and relax. The gated courtyard can keep small swimmers out of the pool area, it also serves as a central place to meet, relax, and eat meals. Margaritaville is a great family friendly place to visit.
