Perfect Stay in Carvoeiro!
Overall - this place was amazing and we would buy it if it was for sale. Such a great place.
The layout was nice with the Master bedroom upstairs and a deck off the back of the room. We left the windows open at night and did not need air conditioning which is strange for us. being from NY. We played games on the upper deck at night with the kids while the sun went down.
Each kid had their own bedroom with a queen bed leading out to the pool and a bathroom to share.
The living room / dining room table was very nice but with the weather so gorgeous, we spent all of our time outside at the pool. They have an updated set of furniture that's not in the current pictures. Coffee in the morning was great outside.
The hosts had almost everything that you'd need upon arriving which made it easy as well as a nice welcome bottle of champagne. Some of the things: are coffee filters, coffee, ice, soap, paper towels, etc. It was an easy walk to get things at the supermarket.
The walking distance to town was so easy. The top restaurants and supermarket were about 5 min walk. Their recommendations for food were amazing as we ate at most of them...Earth (very good breakfast/lunch), The Wolf (cool decor and great food), Villa Medici (great spot and great food).
There is a washer and dryer (which are located outside) so it was difficult to find but such a great asset especially since our luggage was lost and we had to wash clothes a lot.
Ultimately, it was the comforts of home that made this feel like home. Family pictures on the wall, great artwork, beautiful furniture with well-thought-out throw pillows and accents.
A vast library for summer reading with multiple language options.
We were sad to leave but hope to return again in the future. We've always loved Carvoeiro and now we love the Casa Birgitta as well.
