Lovely stay in a unique setting

We received a warm welcome from Pierre who proudly showed us around his both.It is a cosy, clean and relaxing little haven in which we enjoyed an evening amongst friends.Pierre gives excellent advice to discover the region, we have truly enjoyed our little walk on the 'bief des péniches'.Thank you Pierre for this lovely stay!

Unique barge experience

We enjoyed our stay on the barge. It made for an interesting overnight stop on our road trip. We had to watch the children by the water / on the entry to the boat - but all was fine. There are two beds and a sofa bed - which converted to a bed easily. We went to the nearby pizza restaurant, which was very nice.

Very enjoyable stay

Place is amazing , lovely location really helpful host and so accommodating. Very clean , comfy beds, we also used sofa bed which was comfy too! Extra pillows and bedding plus all you need in kitchen . Outdoor area lovely to have meals and relax in evening . Lovely on the water and nice to stay in something different , my older children loved this too. Would have loved to stay longer and relaxed on the river. Recommendations for eating local pizza/ pasta place was really good and great value for money , small kids menu but meals were lovely and home made . Definitely go back if anywhere near !!!

Schöne Tage auf der Rayclau

Sehr schöne ruhige Lage

Wir konnten von dem sehr freundlichen Gastgeber das SUB board haben. Somit konnte die ganze Familie im Fluss sich austoben. Eine Bäckerei und ein kleiner Laden ist in 5 - 8min erreichbar. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen und werden bestimmt das nächste mal die Loft Wohnung nehmen. DANKE Pierre

Nuit originale et reposante sur la péniche au pied du plan incliné de Ronquières (impressionnant). Propriétaire très gentil. Pont dont on peut profiter en cas de beau temps. Point de départ idéal pour activités et balades. Accepte les chiens. Une suggestion: le petit-déjeuner?

Phantastische Auszeit auf dem Schiff

Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen für ein verlängertes Wochenende auf der Rayclau und sind total begeistert. Pierre ist ein super netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er hat uns Tipps gegeben für Fahrradtouren und kleine Ausflüge (mit dem Fahrrad entlang des kleinen Kanals an den alten stillgelegten Schleusen vorbei ist sehr zu empfehlen 😊). Die Betten in der Unterkunft sind etwas eng, aber es gibt ein Sofa was aufgeklappt werden kann, sodass zwei Erwachsene ohne Probleme darauf schlafen können. Auf Deck, was gemeinsam genutzt wird, gibt es eine große Launch-Ecke in der es sich unter dem Sonnenschirm herrlich entspannen lässt und auch die Esstische laden zum essen im Freien ein. Neben dieser Unterkunft gibt es auf dem Schiff noch eine weitere mit einem Schlafzimmer und Pierre selber wohnt mit seiner Frau und Hunden im vorderen Teil. Das Schiff ist sehr gut festgemacht, sodass niemand Angst haben braucht seekrank zu werden. 😉 Wir haben nicht mal ein leichtes schaukeln bemerkt, dabei sind wir da doch etwas empfindlicher. Zusammengefasst: wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Gemütliche, aber enge Unterkunft

Pierre ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist bestens und funktional eingerichtet. Die Kajüten sind natürlich etwas eng und klein. Zudem ist es hellhörig. Der Ort ist etwas heruntergekommen, es gibt aber ein hervorragendes italienisches Restaurant vor Ort und gut ausgebaute Radwege.

Excellent accueil par le propriétaire. Possibilité de venir avec son animal de compagnie. Logement très agréable, fonctionnel, calme avec vue sur le canal. Un beau moment hors du temps

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la péniche qui était propre et bien aménagée. Nous étions 5 adultes et sommes restés qu'une nuit. Je pense que si d'autres groupes souhaitent rester plus longtemps, 4 adultes est le nombre idéal. Sinon Pierre est occupé à faire des travaux dans une autre partie de la péniche, il y aura un plus grand appartement disponible. :) Merci Pierre !

Wirklich ein Highlight!

Wir (vier Personen + Hund) haben zwei wundervolle Wochen auf der Rayclau verbracht: liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft, reizvolle Lage (Sprung vom Boot direkt ins Wasser!), sehr angenehme Gastgeber. Einfach etwas ganz Besonderes!!!
