Villa Elise with private pool, Aircon and WIFI situated 15 minutes drive from Heraklion airport, 5 minutes drive from Kokkini Hani and a few minutes walk from the authentic village of Anopoli. In the village is a small shop for daily essentials and a traditional 'Cafeneon' a village coffee shop, also the famous Anopoli Cretan night with traditional dancing. A few minutes walk behind us is the most famous waterpark in Crete 'Watercity'. Kokkini hani has everything else that you may need, large supermarkets, bakery, cashpoints, bars and Tavernas and of course beaches big and small.
The house itself is a beautiful family home with carefully planned indoor and outdoor areas to provide guests with countless hours of blissful relaxation where you can sit back and enjoy the magnificent scenery. It is built in traditional Cretan Neoclassical style, full of character with antique furniture in the spacious, light living area, there are 4 bedrooms all with Air conditioning, wardrobes and mirrors, two bathrooms, and an extra downstairs toilet room. Also an open planned living area with air conditioning, dining area, office/playroom and fully equipped kitchen with a range cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Outside there is a large terrace off of the main bedroom upstairs and downstairs there is a large terrace at the front with BBQ, wood oven, dinning area , private pool and sunbeds. We have table tennis, garden games, board games and toys for the pool. Everything you need for a fabulous holiday. Travel cot and high chair can be provided. This house will appeal to families or couples wanting an authentic Cretan holiday which is also close to all facilities. CAR NEEDED as there is no local transport near us! There are stairs and an opening going down to the pool area so maybe not suitable for very young children of toddler age!

Our family especially enjoyed the spacious terrace with its magnificent view, the pool and the table tennis. For more water experience and fun the Water city is only a few minutes walking distance away, beaches 10-15 minutes by car. We had a great family stay here. Thank you!!

La casa es estupenda

En general la casa es fabulosa, aunque hay algún pero. Los propietarios son muy amables y te ayudan con cualquier cosa. Lisa nos facilitó el contacto para alquilar coches. Ilyas viene cada dos días a limpiar la piscina y regar las plantas. Lo tienen todo muy organizado. Te reciben con un bizcocho local de chocolate buenísimo y una botella de vino. Tienen preparado una carpeta con información de la isla, lugares para visitar cercanos y algún descuento. Viajamos un grupo de 5 adultos, una adolescente y dos niños muy pequeños. Los espacios dentro de la casa son muy cómodos aunque algún mueble es prescindible. La comunicación de la cocina y el salón es estupendo. Los baños suficientes y amplios (la bañera es alta y necesitaría una actualización). Agua con suficiente presión. Hay jabón, toallas y papel higiénico. Recambio de bolsas de basura, detergente para la lavadora y lavavajillas. Este último no lava muy bien (nosotros tuvimos que lavar a mano) Hay vajilla y cristalería suficiente. Encontramos a faltar un poco de orden en la distribución y el menaje. Encontramos menaje sucio en los armarios. La cocina es grande y tiene dos hornos pero están borrados los números y si los quieres hacer servir es a "ensayo error". Todas las estancias tienen mosquitera y aire acondicionado. Netflix en el salón y wifi en toda la casa. Sería bueno actualizar algún mueble y sobretodo el portón de entrada a la parcela de la casa. Sufrimos un susto fuerte cuándo al abrirla se salió de la guía y cayó al suelo (sin hacer ningún tipo de daño, pero es peligroso) El porche es amplio y bien amueblado. Vale la pena aclarar que no es ideal para ir con niños que correteen porque hay bastantes peligros a tener en cuenta...por ejemplo, las escaleras de acceso a la casa son de piedra y no hay barandilla. El acceso a la zona de piscina no es de seguridad, pero en las imágenes de la web se ve claramente. Encontramos a faltar una zona de sombra al lado de la piscina (nosotras improvisamos un parasol de la casa en un tiesto lleno de arena e hizo el apaño) En general, si viajais adultos y/o con niños mayores es estupenda. Los nuestros son pequeños y no podemos dejarlos sin supervisión con lo cuál tampoco estuvimos mal, pero ya se sabe que no te puedes relajar. Es un buen alojamiento. Situado en una urbanización muy tranquila. Con casas de alquiler alrededor. A 5-7min del pueblito. Muy cerca de un parque acuático. A 20 minutos aproximadamente del aeropuerto.

Wonderful family holiday venue

The property was all we had hoped for and more. We had a wonderful week together as a family, relaxing on the patio, spending lots of time in the pool. Table football and table tennis for those more energetic moments. Sheer heaven. We were greeted by Lisa, who had everything ready for us, and was always easy to contact if needed. The location is so peaceful, apart from the near constant background noise of cicadas, who knew one insect could make so much noise? But it was such a relaxing sound. The air con worked well, in all the bedrooms and in the living area, though the rooms did tend to keep cool, thanks to the shutters, which kept the bedrooms lovely and dark at night. We did find a rental car was necessary, even if only to drive down to Kokkini Hani to catch the bus into Heraklion. Highly recommend this property.

Friendly owners and nice villa in general!

When we arrived, the owner was already waiting for us. He explained everything about the house and things to do in the around the villa. The owners even took us to a supermarket the next day since we didn't have a car ourselves. The contact with them was very good and friendly. There is not much to do right around the villa, but we knew that in advance. With a rented scooter or a taxi service, you can easily go to Hersonnisos. That is what we did. Perfect villa for a group of friends like us!!

Very Nice stay

I went to Crete with my friends for a nice vacation. The service was really well organized by the owner of the villa and the contact was always very pleasant. There was enough space for a group of 9. The taxi connection between the villa and chersonisos was also good. We also had a great dinner in a town nearby, recommended by the owner of the villa. To summaries our experience, we had a great time for a relatively very low price. I would really recomend this villa.

Prachtige woning

Super week gehad, prachtige woning en contact met de verhuurder was erg prettig. Bij aankomst werd alles netjes uitgelegd en in de week zelf werd het zwembad schoon gemaakt door de verhuurder. De woning is zeker aan te bevelen voor mensen die opzoek zijn naar een rustig plek.
