A very pleasant stay
We were greeted by Flaminia and Danielle, who were standing in for Marco. They are delightful people and were very helpful when we arrived early. They gave us lots of information about where to go and how to get there during our 2 weeks there.
The villa is clean and comfortable with everything you need for a self catering holiday and the gated garden is immaculate. Daniele collected our recycling for disposal and cleaned the pool as necessary. The pool would be difficult to use if you are infirm as there is only the one set of steps at the decking end.
There are several supermarkets, restaurants and cafés in the local town Floridia.
The location is great for Syracuse, Ortigia and Noto (the latter 2 places are must sees). We even made the trek to The Valley of the Temples one day. (Worth seeing)
Our only difficulty was the limited WiFi. The contracted 30GB must have been almost completely used by the previous guests so when it ran out we needed to buy some more data ourselves to use in the modem or rely on mobile data. It’s a palaver in the shop but other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I’m still marvelling at the electric storms that thundered away directly over head on several evenings.
