About this property

The Rodney House

Listed as “The most beautiful Airbnb” in Delaware on Architectural Digests website. We want this to be a relaxing memorable vacation and will do what we can to make it happen. We are local so are around to help you with anything you would require.
Walk up the stairs to the main floor that has a private office, kitchen and beautiful living room with a smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped and has a Keurig with coffee pods to start your day. There is also a washer and dryer on the main floor. The master bedroom shares the whole third floor with the master bath. The ceilings are lofty with the original exposed beams. You can walk out the front door of the apartment to all our restaurants, shopping, fishing and everything Lewes has to offer.. Shuttles are at the corner to take you to neighboring beach towns, outlet shopping, the Cape May Lewes ferry and Cape Henlopen State Park. We have designed this apartment for a romantic couple getaway, or peaceful retreat.

This is our 11th trip to Lewes and this is our favorite accommodation so far! It is beautiful, very clean, in a great location, and very comfortable. We especially loved all the thoughtful amenities that are provided (if only all rental properties do the same!)

We will definitely stay again! Great location, comfortable, historic and spacious. Initially concerned with parking but very easily found free spaces a very short walk from the home. Highly recommend the Rodney House!

This was our third visit to Lewes and we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. The unit is clean, comfortable and well stocked for a short or long term stay. The location is perfect - easy access to everything downtown Lewes has to offer and the proximity to Cape Henlopen State Park can’t be overstated. 10/10 all around

Everything was clean, and it was easy to get into the place which is perfectly located in downtown Lewes. Parking can be tricky, but if you don't mind walking a couple blocks it is not that hard to find free parking spots.

Amazing. And no steps to apartment. Trust me when I say you will appreciate that with luggage! Beautiful rooms kitchen and bathrooms. Host met us at gates to walk us over. Perfect. Excellent location to main area and quick walks to everywhere else.

This was my second stay at Rodney House. My first stay was in 2016 when I vacationed in Lewes over 10 days at Rodney House. This trip was brief, but an enjoyable homecoming at this property. The original charm and aesthetics of this property remain true to the senses of Lewes history.This property does not offer parking and requires navigating multiple flights of stairs during your stay. If you are mobile and enjoy getting your “steps” in each day you will enjoy the location and history of this building. Free street parking is available just a couple of blocks down Second Street on first come basis. Walking to the main beach is an easy 1/2 mile stroll. The perfect location to enjoy quintessential Lewes!

We had an excellent stay at the Rodney house!! The history of the house is amazing, and the location was unbeatable - walking distance to beach and right on the main strip. We were able to find free parking a few blocks away that made things very easy!
