Beautiful Beach

We had a wonderful time. Beach is beautiful, water is gorgeous and sand is white and soft. Condo had gorgeous view of beach and was clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nicely decorated and roomy, only negative was I had to buy a 9 volt battery for smoke detector by the front door and the front door wouldn’t close all the way on its own, had to pull to latch it, beautiful view and nice privacy, would definitely recommend the condo to friends

Great place to take the family

This place was great for our family. Easy access to the beach, pool are was perfect for our family. Our main complaint is that our room was not very well cleaned. Old toothpaste and shaving cream left on countertops, found underwear not only in dresser but also in the washer. Floors were swept but not mopped. Be sure to read the instructions to bring toilet paper, trash bags, etc.

Very nice place. Convenient and fun for kids

This is a great place. We love Waterscape and plan to always stay here. The condo we rented this time was super nice. Updated furniture and kitchen. We had to wait a little while to get access to the pool, but once I contacted the rental company, they hand delivered the armbands to us in a couple of hours. My only complaint is that check out should be a little later than 9am. Otherwise, this has been one of the best vacations we have ever had together and we plan to come back every year.

As always, just perfect

Nothing fancy at waterscape, but the value for the money is right on. Lazy river was being maintenances but they got it fixed on Thanksgiving day! We come every year, but this year we particularly appreciated the friendly security workers, the beach chair service spontaneously offered on thanksgiving day and the day after due to the beautiful weather, and the two differently- temperatured hot tubs (one nearly scalding!). Our dishwasher didn’t work, but my penance was to wash dishes every day - no problem at all. Definitely will come again.

We had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the unit was clean, the balcony had comfortable furniture with a great view, and the included beach chairs and toys were a nice bonus. The beach itself was lovely, and overall we were able to enjoy our time.That said, the condo and property definitely felt like they’ve gone downhill since our last stay a year ago (in a different unit). The entrance sign was broken, the hallways had a musty/wet-dog smell, and the condo itself felt dated. Some furniture was stained, one dresser’s drawers didn’t open correctly, and all the mattresses were very uncomfortable…you could really feel the springs. The TVs were another frustration: none of the cable boxes were plugged in when we arrived, which made it confusing to set up, and one room’s TV was quite small.We also had an issue with the door code on our last morning. It stopped working at 7:30am, even though checkout wasn’t until 9. Management responded quickly when I texted, but they couldn’t get it fixed. Thankfully one of us was still inside, otherwise it would’ve been a really stressful situation.Overall, this unit was clean and had some nice perks, but it’s dated and could use updates. Combined with the property’s general decline, I’d rate it 3 stars.

Wonderful stay

Everything was awesome about our stay. The location was fantastic and we loved the ability to swim all day in either/both the pool and beach. Unfortunately we were there when Hurricanes Marco and Laura were brewing, so the tide was pretty high and dangerous to do too much beach time. Otherwise we loved the condo. More than spacious enough for the 5 of us (three adults, one toddler, and an infant) and easy access in and out of the property. The only issue was the condo door. We got locked out once during our stay, then again on the final day. Our checkout time was 9am, and they locked us out around 8am right in the middle of us packing up the car!! This was extremely frustrating, especially with two small children. If the checkout time is 9am, it’d be nice to have access until that time! Overall a wonderful stay!!

Dirty stripped property, better off in hotel

I have stayed in a number of vrbo over the years, each is a little different but I've thing I'd for sure, they felt like home. Most anything you'd need was there. This property was not like that, it was stripped if everything. You got one roll of toliet paper per bathroom and a roll of towel, not even a box of cheap kleenex. Yes I had to use toliet paper to blow my nose. There is absolutely no leftovers; condiments, spices, spray oil, butter, not even salt and pepper. We wasted a bunch of money on food that we couldn't use because it was cheaper to throw then but butter, cooking oil and spices. And forget about coffee, there weren't even coffee filters for the coffee maker, super disappointing! Next let's talk about the cleanliness, it's a condo on the beach, I expect sand and humidity but this was just nasty. Food crumbs in drawers in the coffee table, blood on light switches, dirty floors, grungy baseboards, dust hanging from the light fixtures. The worst is the kitchen table. It is a really nice big table with glass on it, the crumbs under the glass has clearly been collecting for years. Lastly, the last river was closed for maintenance. This was the main reason we picked this property over others in the area and were willing to pay more. You think the property manager would have at least told us, now, found out when we arrived and went down to the pool to swim. Southern vacation rentals will not be getting my business as a renter or future property owner in the area!

Filthy. Food and sand everywhere. Not sanitary!!!

The condo was very nice. Good location. Good view. However, it was very obvious the condo was not cleaned after the last tenants left. Every cup, plate, bowl, pan, and all utensils had food on them... not smudges but actual pieces of food. Someone put up all the dishes dirty!!! The kitchen counter top had chunks of food and sand on it. The garbage disposal was full of old food that stunk, as well as trash and aluminum foil that wouldn’t allow it to clear itself. Every surface in the place had a layer of sand on it... bathroom vanity top, every dresser, the floor, the coffee table... everywhere. It looked like someone took sandy beach towels and walked around shaking them out. There was still soap sud splatter on the glass shower walls. There was thick black mold around the bottom of the shower wall and door. There was food and sand on the kitchen table under the glass topper... Not just a little, but piles of food that had accumulated over a long period of time. Gross, gross, gross. The table on the balcony had food smushed into it so you couldn’t even wipe it away. One chair on the balcony was broken but propped up so it looked ok. It crumbled as soon as we touched it. Luckily no one sat in it and got hurt. Rust was all over the ground on the balcony from the failing furniture. Broom provided wasn’t strong enough to sweep the rust chips away. For a condo that sleeps 8?, there were only three outdoor chairs available. There was a bench seat for 2 with a jacked up cushion that needed to be thrown away. Also there weren’t any blankets provided for the pull out couch... luckily we had extras for the kids in the car. Again I don’t blame the owner, the condo was pretty nice, but was absolutely disgusting and we felt grossed out the entire stay... not to mention we spent the entire first evening recleaning all dishes and utensils by hand and rewiping all surfaces down. In the current Covid environment, I would have thought that the cleaners would be taking extra care to clean and sanitize all surfaces between visitors. We experienced the exact opposite. We have stayed at waterscape at least 6 times and have never experienced anything like this. We will never rent through southern management again. Also, icing on the cake was that the electronic door lock stopped opening with our code 15 minutes prior to the check out time of 9AM. Luckily we still had family members inside or we would have been locked out.

Overall great!

The dishwasher didn’t get dishes clean at all, the dryer took hours to dry a load of laundry. The condo was not the cleanest. We spent a few hours cleaning before unpacking. There was sand (quite a bit) in the tub so I know that wasn’t cleaned, black long hair all in master bath (none of us have black hair) and the condo was dust covered furniture. The AC went out but after I notified the owners, they were very prompt at getting that taken care of. My family had a great time at this resort.
