A holiday home located in Årøybukt with magnificent surroundings by a fjord and the mighty mountains of Lyngsalpene. Here, you can experience Northern Lights during winter. The house, which was built in 1957 and renovated in 2013, is located 120 metres from the fjord. The house has a charming decor and there is a wood-burning stove for cool nights. A 50 inch TV in the living room will keep you entertained. One bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed with a 120 cm wide lower bed. The house is located by Årøybukt with a panoramic view of the fjord and mountains. Go hiking in summer and skiing in winter. Summer is also the season for midnight sun. Boats for rent (week 23 to 39): 15 ft Askeladden Hunter self-bailing boat with 40 hp Suzuki and echo sounder for rent, NOK 3,000 per week, deposit NOK 2,000 Extra boat 15 ft Askeladden Hunter self-bailing boat with 50 hp Mercury and echo sounder for rent, NOK 3,000 per week. Deposit NOK 2,000 PLEASE NOTE: The house is not registered as a tourist fishing business, so it is not possible to export fish out of Norway. A filleting bench is available at the house or boathouse. There are several lakes nearby (remember fishing license). The firewood heated hot tub is available from 01.06 to 01.10 (firewood is not included). All guests must have studded tires on rental cars from 1 November to 1 May.

Das Boot muss extra gebucht werden und ist auch ein wenig teuer, leider wurde, um zu diesem Boot zugelangen (kein Steg, keine Zugleine, es liegt ca. 70 m im Fjord), wurde ein sehr kleines Böotchen - Marke Pionier - zur Verfügung gestellt. Man sollte in das große Boot umsteigen, leider kenterte dieses Böotchen schon bei leichten Wellen und verhalf mir zu einem unfreiwilligen Bad im Atlantik. Diese Umsteigemöglichkeit ist nichts für normale Touristen, bei 2 m Größe sah das Böotchen wie ein Badelatsch von mir aus. Wir haben also nicht geangelt, weil das einfach zu gefährlich war. Der Vermieter ist mit diesem Boot nicht rausgefahren! / Kautionen musste man lange im Voraus überweisen werden - nicht wie im Katalog stand - in bar vor Ort - und die Rückzahlung war auch erst nach 10 Tagen auf Anfrage mit Abschlag erfolgt. Text im Katalog lautet "bar". / / Als Ausflugsziele ist Tromsö mit der Eismeerkathedrale zu empfehlen, täglich findet dort kleine Orgelkonzerte statt. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Restaurant "Egon", nicht nur wegen des sehr schmackhaften Essens, sondern auch wegen der urigen Möblierung. / Eine Führung in der Aurora-Brennerei, ganz in der Nähe vom Haus ist ein Highlight. Sowas findet man sonst nicht im hohen Norden und sogar ein Schlückchen zur Verkostung gibt es.
