This home was gorgeous and located in a beautiful gated community outside the Ritz Carlton. Plenty of room for our 3 Adults 5 teenagers and so well appointed. There wasn’t anything we thought we needed that we didn’t find tucked away, from spices to cotton swabs. Like staying at a friends (huge and beautiful) home. And what a treat to be able to walk to the private Ritz beach access. Such a great stay!

Half Moon Bay Thanksgiving

The entire house is beautiful and well furnished... and very clean. Since this was a family Thanksgiving trip, we did a lot of cooking. The kitchen was very well equipped and the central island made it possible for several people to be working at the same time.

There were 8 of us to celebrate a milestone birthday. The house was lovely and spacious. The kitchen had a nice large center island where we which we made a huge charcuterie board on. The kitchen opened into a living area so we could all be together even when we were preparing our meals. The back yard was lovely. All the bedrooms had comfortable beds and three full bathrooms was a plus for 8 women! Anna was very responsive and made check in a breeze. Everyone told me what a great find the house was. Also the walk to the Ritz was a fun way to spend our fist night together and although it was very dark when we left the path back to the house was well lit. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous property

The property is overall gorgeous in a great location. My group absolutely enjoyed the property everyone commented how comfortable they were with the excellent mattresses in the bedrooms. The only concerns were, The BBQ and outdoor heaters could use a little TLC, the electric igniters didn’t work probably from the salt air. Lastly the downstairs room shows as having a queen bed however, it’s actually a queen rollout. But overall we were extremely happy with the location.

I would like to address the concerns you raised in your review to provide clarity for future guests: BBQ: I provide long matches for the BBQ, which are conveniently kept in the drawer for renters. This ensures the BBQ ignites reliably. Propane Heaters: For your comfort, two electric heaters are provided inside the cabanas. Please note that the propane heaters are not for renter use and are usually stored in the utility area away from the patios. Sofa in the downstairs bedroom: The sofa you mentioned is a new design by American Leather/American Upholstery. Here's a description from the manufacturer: "Rest assured: Guests won’t be troubled by clunky contraptions when they stay overnight. This vibrant sleeper sofa from American Leather is sophisticated and stylish in a way that rewrites the rules for pullouts, with a premium foam mattress and revolutionary platform mechanism. Its simple silhouette and two-panel fold-out setup make the day-to-night transition nice and easy." I regret that this sofa did not meet your expectations. Warm regards, Anna

Birthday Party Girls Stay

8 of us came from around the country to celebrate a big birthday and it was fantastic! Everyone who walked into the house oohed and aahed. The furnishings and art work set an upbeat tone for a wonderful 2 days. The location is fabulous--just a few blocks from the ocean. The house had great seating areas and all the kitchen amenities that anyone would want. It was very easy to communicate with Anna and she was very nice to us. I highly recommend this home for a group get-away.

Great birthday trip

We had four couples total come and stay at this beautiful home for my birthday. It's newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful . We love the flow of the house and the backyard was very nice for lounging . The only negative thing was one of the rooms has a pull out sofa bed and bbq needed cleaning and propane. We ended up cooking inside . The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and dishes and nice glasses. It's location is wonderful and we walked to the ritz twice! The dining room is huge and perfect for group dinners and playing games. Everyone had a great time.

Luxurious home in gated community

The home is simply exquisite, and we enjoyed the convenience of being next to the golf course, the towns, and all the seaside scenery. The home was spotless, well decorated, and the backyard was truly a respite within a respite. Communication between the homeowner and us was excellent, as well. After each day of exploring the local towns, we always felt safe & welcome here at this home, as well as when we arrived at the of this community. To note, on our first arrival, the attendant at the gate was expecting us, and each of them were very friendly. We felt grateful to have found this home. Highly recommend!

AMAZING HMB House

We were looking for a easy, relaxing and easy getaway from the busy city life for Memorial Day. This house made our weekend extra special. Neighborhood - incredibly safe with guards out in the front entrance. Beautifully landscape golf course and 5 minute walk to the beach, connected to the Ritz Carlton. Bedroom - spacious bedroom, the master bedroom is bigger than an entire apartment and extremely well equipped. Bed were comfortable and bathroom were all remodeled. Kitchen - biggest highlight of the entire house. The kitchen was a large size and it was beyond well equipped ..., tons of plates and utensils for large parties, large platter, baking sheets. We all hung out in this space and really enjoyed what the kitchen has to offer. Backyard - well kept, had a very nice grill and 3 gazebo to sit outside. It was a little cold when we were there but as the weather got nicer, we were able to go outside and enjoy a nice meal in the backyard. In summary, I highly recommend this house for large parties. Checking in and checking out was a breeze and Anna was wonderful to work with.

we had a terribile time because first of all it did not have what was in the pictures of the advertising. ie:no outdoor fireplace which would have made the backyard useful. BBQ was not working it was leaking gas badly very unsafe. Thermostat for heating and cooling was not working so it was very cold at nights and most of us did not sleep well or sleep at all. electrical problems we kept loosing power and electricity because breakers were tripping and we did not have any unusual usage to make them tripping. we had to call the owner to come and reset the breaker and took him an hour to show up in the meantime we had no power in halph of the house. we told the owner and showed him all the problems and he agreed that the problems existed and didn't do anything about them. had a terrible time for the whole family do not recommend it at all.

For the 15 years of renting the property Mozafar is the first renter we do not recommend to be your guest. Here is why: 1. On the day of his arrival he notified us about bringing the RV. If we knew he would be bringing the RV upon booking, we would not have rented the house. The RV blocked the entire driveway and we received multiple complaints from neighbors of our gated community. 2. The RV, and the electrical car, and the medical equipment all were plugged into the regular outlets and overloaded the electrical circuit of the property which caused the electrical circuit breakers to trip and the electronics of the heating system to malfunction. 3. My husband went to fix the problem around midnight. After fixing the circuit breakers he observed that the house got fully illuminated and the number of people was more than claimed. 4. The renter was explained that $50,000 back/front yard re landscaping project was just finished. That was the reason the back yard looked differently than advertised. 5. To address the problem with barbecue leakage the renter was offered to use another propane tank. Upon leaving the house my husband asked the renter not to overload the electrical system of the house again. Unfortunately, the renter continued charging all his equipment which tripped the breakers next day. The fact that the renter did not mention charging his RV, his car and the medical equipment seriously undermines his review.

Not As Advertised - Dated - Needs Cleaning and Maintenance

We rented this house in July 2016 for a 9 day family vacation. House is in a great location within walking distance to the Ritz (3 blocks - not visible from the house). However, there has been very little upkeep to the property - note positive reviews were from 2011 and 2013 (I didn't). Landscaping is all overgrown. We were greeted by bats in the entry way that left their droppings outside the door. We were disappointed that the outdoor fireplace was not usable due to tree overgrowth. Deep cleaning of the house is required along with an exterminator. Spider webs throughout the house along with substantial amount of dust. Property needs some TLC before being rented again, especially given the amount of money paid for this rental. Missing smoke detectors and dead batteries in the keyless entry and thermostats added to our concern. The property owner was contacted and made aware of the deficiencies, along with pictures. Property owner responded and did offer a cleaning service while we were in residence. We declined due to not wanting to be disturbed during our family vacation. We simply felt the level of cleaning required would take a significant amount of time. Before renting this property, I would suggest that you request updated pictures with time stamp to ensure you are getting what you are paying for.

My husband and I have been renting this house for the past ten years and never had a single negative review. Here is the answers to the first one. As a matter of our policy, in rare events when a renter expresses any concerns with cleaning we offer to make extra cleaning and we did not have any problems with anyone else but Stacey. Stacey expressed some concerns with cleaning and we offered extra cleaning for her. Stacey declined it. Here is a quote from the renter's review "Property owner responded and did offer a cleaning service while we were in residence. We declined ..." Stacey writes "Clearly, this property has not been used in some time" . If anyone would look at our renting calendar then one could see that she moved in the same day when other renters moved out and they did not have any problems. Stacey writes "We were disappointed that the outdoor fireplace was not usable due to tree overgrowth." Our Community does not recommend us to use the outdoor fireplace and it was there for decorative purposes only. Action: The outdoor fireplace is removed. Stacey writes " Landscaping is all overgrown." Action: We changed our gardener to the new one. Stacey writes "We were greeted by bats in the entry way that left their droppings outside the door." Action: We checked for bats and did not find any. We believe that most of remaining statements are untrue due to a scandalous character of the renter.
