Residential house in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Svolvær. The owner lives in the house when it is not rented out. Only 2.5 km to the center of Svolvær. Great hiking area behind the house with hiking trails along several waters and up into the Kongstindan mountain. Great starting point for trips by car and bus around Lofoten. The house is in a row and has 2 floors, 3 bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry room on the first floor, living room and kitchen on the second floor. Free internet. Wood stove in the living room. Sunny terrace with outdoor furniture and barbecue. The house is within walking distance of the center of Svolvær with many shops and restaurants. 5 km to Kabelvåg, which used to be Lofoten's largest fishing village. Vågar - Northern Norway's first city - was also located here. Northern Norway's largest church, Lofoten Cathedral, is well worth a visit. The church has room for 1,200 people and was in earlier times full of fishermen during the annual winter fishing for cod. Visit the fishing village Henningsvær further south, for many years Lofoten's most important fishing village. The mountain Vågakallen has for centuries been a navigation mark for shipping. Farthest south in Lofoten, there is a wonderful and dramatic mountain landscape with small fishing villages between the sea and the mountains.
