4 person holiday home in Höviksnäs

Welcome to this charming holiday home, with it's great location and it's panoramic view of the sea. The holiday home is set in Höviksnäs, on the eastern part of the island of Tjörn. This is a quiet, child-friendly area. The one-storey cottage features a small kitchen that opens onto the terrace, and a spacious living room with a sofa suite, a TV, a dining table, and a wood-burning stove. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two bunk beds. The bathroom features a WC, a washbasin, and a shower. You have internet access via fibre. The house has an Apple TV, with a number of channels, including German channels. The lovely beach Låka is only 500 metres from the cottage. Låka has a sandy beach, cliffs, a diving tower, and public toilets. The nearest grocery shop is in Myggenäs, seven kilometres. There's also a small shop and a pizzeria two kilometres from the cottage. Tjörn is a stunning island, and an excellent base for exploring the archipelago. Why not catch a ferry to the car-free islands of Åstol, Tjörnekalv, and Dyrön? Skärhamn has plenty of restaurants, shops, entertainment and culture. There is, for instance, a lovely art museum specialising in contemporary art, especially aquarelles. Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city, is only 65 kilometres away! Here you will find the famous amusement park Liseberg, amongst many other attractions.

Great View but some shortcomings

To start with the good things - the house is nicely located with a great view. It is spacious and the kitchen sufficiently equipped, we had a brand new grid for the barbeque. Neighbours are friendly. To look at the downsides. Cleanliness was rather so-so, especially in the kitchen. The furniture is quite old and has some obvious signs of use, e g. the rusty dents on the fridge or the oven. The most annoying part was that it was not very obvious that we had to bring bed linen. This was not mentioned in the description only in the terms and conditions and in the route information.

Der Ort war super sauber und gemütlich, Wir liebten das Wohnzimmer mit dem Holzofen, es machte unsere Abende so schön und warm, Der nahegelegene Strand war perfekt zum Entspannen, und die Kinder hatten viel Spaß, Der einzige Nachteil war, dass das WiFi manchmal etwas langsam war, aber ehrlich gesagt, es störte uns nicht, Insgesamt ein großartiger Ort für einen entspannten Urlaub, würde auf jeden Fall wieder bleiben!

Das Haus war genauso, wie beschrieben und auf den Fotos abgebildet. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Bei unserer Ankunft stand eine Flasche Wein mit 2 Gläsern auf dem Tisch bereit. Da fühlt man sich gleich willkommen. Es war auch alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Nur manche Geschirrteile waren nicht so gut gespült. Aber das ist in Ferienhäusern oft so. Die Aussicht von der Terasse war das Highlight. Da wir mit 2 Kindern unterwegs waren, war es super, dass die Terrasse umzäunt war. Das Geländer war an einer Stelle allerdings durchgebrochen, was ein Sicherheitsproblem ist. Toll war auch die große Rasenfläche zum Spielen. Und dank Mähroboter war das Gras immer schön kurz. Trotzdem gab es viele Zecken. Das Haus ist eher puristisch eingerichtet. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen und war auch praktisch, da unser Kleiner im Krabbelalter so nicht soviel abräumen konnte. Am Anfang waren wir nur irritiert, dass es keine Kleiderschränke gab. Aber wir kamen mit den offenen Regalen im Wohnzimmer und Kinderzimmer dann sehr gut zurecht. Das Bett im Elternschlafzimmer hatte sehr gute Matratzen (eher etwas fester), auf denen wir sehr gut geschlafen haben. Das einzige was uns wirklich noch gefehlt hat, war eine Waschmaschine. Und dafür dass das Haus recht klein ist, ist der Preis etwas hoch.

Auf der Insel Tjörn kann man sehr gut wandern, z. B. im Naturreservat Toftenäs und bei Sundsby Sätery mit anschließendem Kaffetrinken in Sundsby Sätery in einem Ambiente wie zu Großmutters Zeiten. Am besten gefallen hat uns ein Ausflug mit dem Schiff von Rönnäng nach Dyron und Wanderung dort. Und natürlich lohnt sich das Aquarellmuseum in Skärhamn und Slulptur e Pilane mit Gräberfeld.
