Casa Ithomi, 3 Bedroom Maisonnet, Old Harbor Chania

The house is in the old Venetian harbor of Chania with fantastic view from the balcony, 20 meters from the water and 5 minutes from the commercial center. In the area you will find many restaurants, taverns, bars and historical sites. It has private parking, although a car is not necessary, only if you want to explore the island.

Renovated and fully equipped with direct access to the old Venetian harbor of Chania. The maisonette has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the 2nd floor, 2 with double bed and 1 with 2 single beds and can accommodate up to 6 people plus an extra person if needed on the couch down in the living room. All bedroom furniture, mattresses and linen are new. All rooms have air conditioning and 32 "TVs. The view of the front bedrooms in the old port will delight you.

The kitchen, with its new electric appliances, the lounge and a small WC, are located on the first floor with a balcony that allows you to drink your coffee overlooking the fishing boats and the Venetian wall. The house has free Wi-Fi and one of the few private parking in the old town. The famous "Two Lux" coffee bar is just below to enjoy your coffee early in the morning and your drink until late in the evening.

Friendly advice, if you are looking for peace and absolute quiet this is not suitable for you, its better to look for a property outside the town far away from all the action.

Perfect location!

Such a great location with a great parking spot. It was the perfect spot for us to explore Chania! We found the place to be perfect for us - it has some unique characteristics (like the very small bathroom on the main floor) but we found it added to the character of the place. We found the place very quiet and were not at all disturbed by being in the heart of a nightlife area. Lia was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely return:)

Casa Ithomi

Excellent. We are family with four kids, and we were very comfortable. The apartment was spacious, clean and so thoughtfully equipped. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need, plenty of towels, even a beach caddy and beach toys were there for us. Location is prime time. Lia met us there and was a great communicator. Highly recommend and I’m sure we will be back.

This location exceeded our expectations as did our super host, Lia. The apartment is extremely well appointed and situated just a few steps from the Old Harbor. We were fortunate to be there to celebrate the Greek Orthodox Easter. Our super host, Lia helped us with dinner suggestions, sight seeing, and just general knowledge of the area. This apartment was conveniently located in Old Town Chania. Lia was a phenomenal host! The apartment was clean, quiet and beautifully decorated. The best deal in Chania!

If you're traveling to Chania, this is where you need to stay! The house is located on a quiet side street that provides privacy, but it's really close by to all the restaurants and shopping in the harbor area. The view from the front patio is beautiful, and is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink. The beds are very comfortable and the WiFi works great; you won't find a better deal for this price! Lia, the owner, met us when we arrived, explained how all the amenities worked, and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. If I come back to Chania, this is where I'll be staying!

We had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately our trip was cut a few days short due to Coronavirus closing everything. The location is perfect just steps away from great restaurants. Home was everything promised. We stayed 3 weeks and did not have a car. Easy walk to downtown and old town. Lia was a wonderful host with quick response when we needed anything. Hoping to stay here again. Praying the Coronavirus gets under control and doesn’t leave this area and its businesses having huge issues. This was by far our favorite vacation destination ever!

I cannot think if a single way in which Casa Ithomi can be improved upon. The accomodation is superb, not only luxurious and with every possible convenience but with added value by way of coffee, tea, basic food requirements, complimentary ice cream, shampoo, conditioner etc. Additionally Lia provides many additional services, including sending my walking stick on to our bext destination by bus, of her own volition, when I had left it behind! Her introduction to the apartment was the most comprehensive I have ever experienced. Certainly, there is noise from the cafes below but this is a price you pay for the position overlooking the harbour, which is a tourist hotspot. Nevertheless, with the windows closed and the AC on, you could as easily be in the countyside as far as interupted sleep goes.

Beautiful, well located apartment

Our family had a wonderful stay at Casa Ithomi in Chania. It was the perfect vantage point to enjoy the town on foot because we were right near everything. Our hostess was exceptionally gracious to us, meeting us at the apartment to orient us and give us useful information about groceries, places to visit, restaurants and cultural information. The apartment is of course in an older building so one must walk past the back side of a restaurant to approach the entrance and then walk up a flight of stairs to the apartment but it's worth it for the location and the quality of the space inside. The apartment has been beautifully kept and renovated: there are pretty built in wood furnishings throughout the living area, a spacious, very functional and well-equipped kitchen, and the bedrooms and bathrooms have been updated very attractively. All is very comfortable. We visited during a very hot time and the air conditioning works well. It was great to have a parking space too, which is unusual, as well as a washing machine for clothes. Many details were not left out when the apartment was renovated: there are plenty of places to store or hang your clothes, lay out your toiletries, and generally make yourself at home. We really enjoyed being there - thank you!

Casa Ithomi is the perfect place for a family or even a couple to stay on their visit to Chania. The house has a fully equiped kitchen if you want to prepare your owm meals, a washer if you want to do your laundry. The maisonnet style provides privacy and quatness to the upstairs bedrooms.

What makes this property unique

it's one of the few properties at the old harbour that has a private parking area. It's located right at the water front so you can walk to everywhere.
