Beachfront!! Spectacular View! Awesome Deck! Gourment Kitchen

Located in a quiet and serene area of the peninsula this beach house has a spectacular gulf view from the living room, master bedroom and guest bedroom! Sleeping quarters include master bedroom with king size bed, guest room with queen bed and a bunk room with 1 full and 1 twin bed. For your convenience all beds are pre-made with linens provided for free! Beds for 7 people plus one ottoman cot that converts to a twin bed for the 8th person.
The master bedroom has a TV and built in DVD player. The house is also a split floor plan with bedrooms on each side of the house. The living room sports a big screen TV and streaming WIFI.. But the best part is the beachfront view! Watch the sun rise or sun set, see the ships travel on the Gulf and dolphins frolic in the water. A quick walk puts you on a secluded area of the beach with very little traffic. A six foot wide golf cart path makes getting to the beach quick and easy. The grill, built in picnic tables and outdoor shower downstairs make entertaining easy and enjoyable in any kind of weather. Plenty of parking for guests, boats and trailers. Large lawn for horseshoes and volleyball. Into birdwatching?? Because there is so much vacant land and because Bolivar Peninsula is know for its bird migration, guests can sit on the deck and see many different kinds of birds including the Roseate Spoonbill. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and close walk to the beach. We were thankful that we were warned in advance about the mosquitos under the cabin and to spray with Cutter backyard spray. They definitely showed up when the wind died down but the spray took care of it. We had all the kitchen cooking supplies we needed. We grilled hamburgers and cooked several meals at the cabin. It was a great stay for our family.

Communication was fluid and got an unexpected third night at a really, very good price. Our house has been nothing but gracious and we will not hesitate to come stay here again and plus we clean better than the housekeepers.

Quiet and private beach house

This house was on Bolivar Pennisula on a quieter end which was perfect for our visit. Great beach access and view. The house was clean and well laid out with split bedrooms. Small grocery store nearby and a couple of great restaurants. Enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic stay

The view was incredible! I loved having coffee each morning and listening to the waves, very peaceful. My husband and i used this trip to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The host had a boutique of flowers and card wishing us a happy birthday on arrival. Overall great stay! Taking the ferry to Galveston was free and a fun adventure. We skydived at Skydive Galveston, excellent experience!

Amazing

We loved staying at the Pelican Bluff it is an experience we will never forget not only was the house amazing but the view was beautiful. Margene was a wonderful host and we look forward to staying at her place again. The house is the perfect place for watching the sunrise in the morning and enjoying family time as you BBQ in the evening. The house is just a short drive to some great restaurants and just a ferry ride away from Galveston

Wonderful Fall Beach Stay

Pelican Bluff was very comfortable & close to the beach - just a short walk along the sandy path & over the little bridge. Or ride a golf cart! The house had everything we needed to enjoy our 4 nights with family & dogs. The kids especially liked being so close to the water. The house was very clean & check in was easy. Margene was quick to respond if we had a question. We hope to make it back again. I had never stayed in a newer house, so the slight sway (due to the height) was weird at first, but was easy to get used to.

Decent Vacay

Overall we had a good time. The fans and some of the vents were full of dust and the shower liners had mold on them. That could have been better. Other than that, the kids had a great time at the beach. The house stands all by itself with a private boardwalk which made it easy to come in and out. We had the beach practically to ourselves all day and night. The appliances were nice and clean and seemed new.

Everything about this place was perfect!

I cant say enough nice things about this place. The wife and I needed quiet place to just relax and chill for a couple of days and this place did not disappoint!!!!! the place was very clean, the view of the beach was fantastic and the place was stocked well enough for cooking and preparing meals. there were just a few pots and pans and other utensils but it was good for what we needed....the host was VERY responsive often responding nearly as soon as I sent the request ROFL. we fond a couple of spiders in the corners of the ceiling but we quickly got rid of them.....and also the mosquitos are a real thing so be prepared....it was kinda chilly while we were there but warm the day we left and they were out in full force. we are thnking about booking again the day after Christmas!!!! Well done host and stay here if you can....you won't regret it!!!!! Loved it!

Lovely As Always

I have stayed at this owner's properties a few times. Just like always, the house was clean and comfortable. A minor concern (sticky door lock from the salt air) was handled immediately with quick, clear communication and a personal visit. The owner even personally reached out when a severe thunderstorm would be coming through to warn us. My only advice is to use the mosquito spray they provide and follow the owner's directions for use immediately. The house is on the beach, but the grassy dunes have mosquitoes. (And lots of happy frogs!) The mosquitoes are not so bad on the upper porch, though. I appreciated the streaming services available. Any pots or pans needed were there, as well. I also loved the showers! I want to buy a similar fixture for home use now. Crystal Beach is a comfortable, safe, and friendly little coastal town. I have never had an unpleasant visit. If you want a "busier" experience for a day during your trip, Galveston is only a short ferry ride away, but we always find plenty to do on the peninsula. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing Refresh in Worldy Chaos

This was such a great experience. The house was exactly as described. It was so secluded - nobody to one side for about a quarter of a mile and probably three quarters of a mile the other way. Private beach entrance big enough for the golf cart. The house had pretty much everything we needed. Everything about the house was spot on. The only downers had nothing to do with the home. Mosquitoes were bad one day. The fog was horrible for about 75% of the trip. We went to Galveston one day and the ferry took 2 hours on the way there and 1 hour on the way back. With 3 kids under 6 and a dog in the car, I wish we had known about how long it would take beforehand so be warned - time wasted when we could have been enjoying the beach. Although I loved being able to take the golf cart on the beach, it would be great if it stopped there and cars weren't allowed. Young teens were driving trucks way too fast, blaring music, etc... You had to treat the beach like a road and have a constant eye on the kids. The beach was OK - really compacted because of all the driving. I was able to catch a few fish one day when the surf calmed down a bit. All in all, all the unfortunate times were circumstances of mother nature, the beach itself or poor planning - but the house - perfection! It was nice to have a smaller house that fit us perfectly. Many games of Uno, Phase 10 and just hanging out. Would consider going again.

Many years ago I moved to California from Nebraska but have always missed the mid-western values and hospitality. Through the advice of my brother Mike Walz of Crystal Beach's Walz Family Builders I seized the opportunity to sell my California condominium and built on Bolivar. Why they chose this property

Since my brother owns a home and a business in Crystal Beach I have visited many times. Each time I fell more and more in love with the area. I decided to invest my retirement money here and started with Pelican Bay. It has been such a pleasant experience with wonderful, wonderful guests! So when an opportunity arose I jumped at the chance to purchase a second home. I can't wait to share this peaceful stress-free beach with you.

What makes this property unique

The most spectacular thing about Pelican Bluff is the spectacular beach front view. The front deck is 16' deep - 8' is covered and 8' is uncovered. Guests are able to enjoy the shade, read, sip a glass of wine or beer or tan in the sunshine. The family area under the house includes a shower, a two built-in picnic tables and charcoal grill. It is a wonderful area that will accommodate many family members and guests. It offers you all the comforts of home with the additional bonus of hearing and watching the surf.
