Romantic view of the Royal Ditch

Our apartment is located in a historic building near the large Piazza della Repubblica, right in the heart of Livorno. The location is truly unique and very charming, offering a beautiful view of the Fosso Reale canal and the famous Vettovaglie market. The Fosso Reale is the main canal that runs along the perimeter of the sixteenth-century walls, and the stretch of the San Cosimo bastion is right in front of the apartment.

This is the ideal accommodation for those who love to explore on foot or by bike the historic districts of Livorno up to the Medici port and the promenade or start from here to discover the cities of art in Tuscany.
The apartment features two spacious rooms with vaulted brick ceilings and antique stone floors. The furniture is modern and functional. The first room includes a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, oven, microwave and a large dining table.
After a long day, enjoy a romantic dinner on the small terrace while taking in the view with a glass of Tuscan wine.
The second room is the living area with a large corner sofa and TV. A small staircase leads to the mezzanine where you will find there a large double bed (180x200cm)
The bathroom includes a shower, toilet, bidet, hairdryer and washing machine.
Bed linen and towels are provided.

Getting here:
Those arriving by train to Livorno take the bus number 1+ or 2+ at the station and get off after 5 stops at the "De LARDEREL" stop and then walk 2 minutes to the apartment.

Walking from the station to the apartment takes about 23 minutes (1.8km), along a tree-lined street.

For those who reach Livorno by car we offer free parking near the apartment in a private and enclosed aerea.

The ferry terminal to Corsica and Sardinia is 2.8 km away and easily reachable by bus.

The Galileo Galilei airport in Pisa is about 25 minutes by car.
With public transport it takes about 1 hour; Pisa Mover train from the airport to Pisa railway station, then train to Livorno, see instructions above for reaching the destination from Livorno station.

Very enjoyable stay in Livorno

Very nice and spacious apartment in an excellent location. We enjoyed watching the boating activity from the balcony. The accomodation had everything we needed and the host couldn't have been more helpful. She went the extra distance to make our stay special.

A beautiful historic property with a stunning view of one of Livorno’s canals. Don’t be put off by the English translation, Royal Ditch! We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the boat action. The flat has air conditioning which was a god send as the temperature rose to 36c during the day. We hired a car (the flat has a parking space in a secure parking lot 2 minutes walk away).Pisa and Volterra were easily accessible and worth a visit. On several days we also travelled a little further (50 minutes) to the free sandy beaches near San Vincenzo (Parco Costiero di Rimigliano) which were beautiful. The sunset from the Terrazza Mascagni was stunning. Our favourite restaurants were in the Little Venice area but we also ate in using the flat’s facilities. Suzanne was an amazingly helpful host. She met us on arrival, gave us loads of advice and continued to do so on WhatsApp throughout our stay. Thank you, Suzanne. The flat was perfect as a city base. Livorno is full of character and charm and not so touristy as the other Tuscan cities. We found the people really friendly.

Es war rundum perfekt!!!!!Die Vermieter: sehr freundlicher Empfang mit Wein, Cracker und Wasser und sie waren sofort da, als es ein kleines Problem im Appartement zu lösen galt.Das Appartement: man konnte sich einfach nur wohl fühlen, in dem alten aber sehr schön renovierten Raum mit den schönen Decken und dem einmaligen Fußboden und wir haben den Ausblick auf dem Balkon zu den verschiedensten Tageszeiten genossen!Wir würden es jederzeit wieder mieten!

Super Wohnung

Wir haben uns 12 Nächte in dieser wunderbaren Ferienwohnung aufgehalten, die herrlich am Kanal gelegen ist. Auf dem Balkon kann man Frühstück und abends auch ein Weinchen genießen. Die ganze Einrichtung war sehr gepflegt und entspricht voll und ganz dem Internetauftritt. Die Vermieter, Susanne und Roberto, sind ganz liebevolle Menschen und kümmern sich um alle auftretenden Probleme, falls es mal welche geben sollte. Sie gaben viele Tipps für Ausflugsziele, Bademöglichkeiten und für Restaurants. Es war ein rundherum gelungenes Urlaubserlebnis.

einzigartiger Urlaub

Wir waren begeistert von der sehr geschmackvoll alt und neu kombiniert eingerichteten Wohnung mit dem beeindruckenden Blick auf den Fosso Reale. Vielen Dank Roberto für die nette Begrüßung und die vielen Ausführungen zu der Wohnung, Livorno und Umgebung. Wir haben von den Empfehlungen viel umgesetzt und gesehen. Alle Wege in Livorno waren super kurz, so zentral liegt die Wohnung. Es war alles vorhanden, was man sich denken kann und braucht und sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wir hatten gleich am ersten Abend das Vergnügen die Ruderregatta direkt vom Balkon zu verfolgen. Auch weitere kulturelle Highlights boten sich uns während unserer 7 Tage in Livorno. Wir haben die Stadt noch einmal von einer ganz neuen schöneren Seite mit seinen vielen Kanälen, der historischen Markthalle, seinen Festungen und dem Terrazza Mascagni erlebt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Geniale Lage

Die Wohnung ist perfekt. Ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht (inkl. Waschmaschine, Mikrowelle, Klima-Anlage). Die Lage ist perfekt, mitten in der Stadt mit einem Balkon mit genialer Aussicht. Roberto und Susanna waren sehr hilfsbereit und gaben uns gute Ratschläge für Restaurants und Ausflüge. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit wieder buchen, es hat uns dort sehr gefallen!

Wunderschöner Ausblick, zentrale Lage, Großstadt

Susanne und Roberto sind sehr nette Vermieter und Gastgeber. Total aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns super Tipps gegeben und waren immer für Fragen offen. Die Wohnung hat eine gute Größe, wirklich viel Platz zu zweit. Das Sofa ist sehr bequem und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Sogar Spühlmittel, Pürierstab, Gewürze und eine Nudelsieb waren vorhanden. Der Ausblick vom Balkon auf den Kanal ist herrlich, allerdings ist es nicht sehr ruhig. Deshalb ist die Wohnung eher etwas für Stadt-Liebhaber. Die Verkehrsgeräusche hört man durchgehend, da die Wohnung an zwei großen Straßen liegt. Die Wohnung hat eine recht zentrale Lage und man kann zu Fuß mehrere Orte (Einkaufsmeile, Markt, Fortezza Vecchia, Hafen) gut erreichen. Um zu der Mascagni Terrase zu kommen, empfehlen wir den Bus zu nehmen. Da ist man in ca.10-15 min. Eine Bushaltestelle ist nur eine Straße von der Wohnung entfernt. Sehr schöne Ausflugsorte waren der Felsen-Strand bei Quercianella, die Stadt Lucca und die Stadt San Gimignano.

Excellent location and wonderful host

The apartment had everting we needed for our stay. The location was excellent - close to restaurants, the fabulous Market Hall, and the port and sea front. The balcony made the location by the canal very special - lovely to sit out and relax with a coffee or a glass of wine. Our host went out of his way to make us welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful. I’d highly recommend this apartment and a visit to Livorno.

Wir haben 5 wunderbare Tage in Livorno verbracht. Die Stadt ist weniger touristisch als wir gedacht hatten und alle Menschen waren uns gegenüber sehr freundlich und offen. Roberto empfing uns herzlich in der schönen Wohnung, die in Wirklichkeit noch schöner ist als auf den Bildern. Er gab uns viele Informationen rund um Livorno, sodass für uns kein Wunsch offen blieb. Die Lage der Wohnung ist optimal gelegen und sie verfügt über einen Balkon mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf den Kanal. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Schöne gelegen im Zentrum

Roberto und Susanne sind sehr freundliche und grosszügige Vermieter. Das Abholen am Bahnhof hat uns die Ankunft sehr erleichtert und auch sonst waren sie immer für Fragen erreichbar. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr schön und sehr gepflegt sowie an einer hervorragend Lage am Kanal und im Zentrum. Vielen Dank für alles!

Fabulous location, vista and apartment in Livorno

We loved our four day stay in Roberto‘s and Suzanne’s beautiful apartment! Even better than expected… cozy sitting high quality design and well equipped. Great communication with owners, location can’t be beat just a short walk to the beautiful Mercato Centale and the little Venice area. The hosts were wonderful, with good recommendations-and even gifted us local white wine to enjoy on the terrace overlooking the canal and some yummy Olive oil. A fun romantic stay!

Perfecte locatie in Livorno

Dit moet het mooiste appartement zijn wat in Livorno te huur is. Het balkon biedt een fantastisch uitzicht en je kan er heerlijk zitten. Van binnen is het ook prachtig en de faciliteiten zijn prima. Houd er rekening mee dat er geen airco aanwezig is, waardoor het in augustus wel erg warm was binnen. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en helpen je graag met alles.

Appartamento veramente bello e caratteristico nel centro di Livorno. L'appartamento è molto spazioso, più di quello che sembra nell'annuncio ed è tenuto benissimo. Dentro non manca nulla. Fantastici poi sia il pavimento in pietra originale e il terrazzino sul canale sul quale si possono fare anche pranzi o cene romantiche. Poi ci sono Roberto e Susanne, due persone squisite e disponibilissime. Non vi faranno mancare nulla! Insomma se dovete soggiornare a Livorno fatelo qui, non ve ne pentirete.

Wunderbare Unterkunft für Toskana-Tour

Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber, bietet ausreichend Platz und ist super ausgestattet. Der Balkon läd zum Frühstücken in der Sonne, auf einen Wein am Abend oder einfach zum entspannen ein. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und der Bahnhof sind fußläufig gut erreichbar. Wir haben alle unsere Ziele unkompliziert per Bahn, von unserer Wohnung in Livorno aus, erreichen können (Florenz, Pisa (Flughafen), Lucca, Cinque Terre, San Gimignano ...) . Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und helfen wann immer man sie fragt. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

schöner Urlaub

- schöne Aussicht vom Balkon auf den Kanal (haben wir besonders fzum Frühstück und am abend genossen) - schöne Ferienwohnung, alles vorhanden was man benötigt einschließlich gekühlter Getränke zum Start - kurze Strecken zu bestimmten Zielen in der Toskana - nette Vermiterin, spricht deutsch - ... :-)

A wonderfull week in Livorno

We had a wonderfull week in this appartment in Livorno and were very hospitably welcomed by Susanna. It is beautifully situated near the channel in the center of Livorno and is fully equipped with al very nice balcony. It is easy to travel (by train) to Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre and Lucca. Fun apartment in superb location

I was very pleased with this apartment and would happily stay there again. It has all the essentials you hope will be just right in a rental - spotless, good lighting, good water pressure and plenty of hot water, many electric outlets for recharging all your devices, comfortable bed and plenty of space to unpack all your belongings. There are supermarkets and restaurants walkable in every direction but the best, Mercato Centrale is just two blocks away. Bus stops at nearby Piazza Republican make sites accessible but this is a very walkable town. The view from the apartment is peaceful and a glass of wine on the balcony relaxing. Susanne and Roberto are wonderful hosts. This is the place to stay in Livorno!
