Perfect place but a bit noisy

Perfect place to stay just outside Durham and close to Necastle and other major places of interest but the A690 is really very noisy

A very convenient and confortable base to explore Durham, even without a car

Great cottage, comfortable and very well equipped. Very clean. Great communication with the property manager. Nice touches on welcome (milk; juice and flowers on arrival). Very well located with two supermarkets at 1 min walk. The only downside would be the very busy road. Hard to get accustomed to it when not used to it. However, ear plugs where kindly provided.

Lovely House

Lovely spacious house, very clean and well equipped. Owner Matt very helpful. Fresh flower, tea, coffee, milk and orange juice a bonus. Very warm central hearing and plenty of hot water for the shower from the combi boiler. Plenty of nearby takeaways, shops and pubs. Local people very friendly. Would definitely recommend this property and return again.

Great base for Durham and the North East

A lovely property with a superb bathroom and well equipped kitchen. A small yard for our dog to use, parking at the rear of the property which is how you access the House. Superb Nest heating, great TV and WiFi. Sofa’s were ok for short periods but could have been bigger! There’s plenty of space for bigger sofas. Beds all very comfortable but could benefit from a pillow upgrade. Road noise in the front two bedrooms is noticeable but not too inconvenient. Easily rectified by a windows upgrade which I suspect is on the cards. A blind to the kitchen window would be good as it would make the lounge more cosy and add some privacy. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property, definitely.

Clean and comfortable

The accommodation was very well presented, spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for self catering. A big plus is the bed, which is very large and comfortable. Overall, the house is very conveniently situated for shops and is on a bus route into Durham. The buses are frequent and the stop is opposite the house.
