Set in rolling countryside on the Charente/Dordogne border, Farmhouse Lemonie is a 17th Century Charente stone house that has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Constructed over 3 floors it has large open rooms downstairs and 5 beautiful bedrooms upstairs. The house easily accommodates 10 people with a spacious lounge, kitchen/diner and large conservatory that looks out onto the courtyard terrace. The house is surrounded on all sides by 3 acres of garden with pride of place just of the courtyard being a new pool and decked area for the 2019 season. Fruit trees and relaxation zones where guests can relax and read their favourite book in the shade of the trees. Peace and tranquillity are guaranteed with little or no noise, light or air pollution in a rural setting. For the young at heart, table tennis, darts, snooker, petanque court , large outdoors chess\draughts and 10x5 swimming pool with amazing country views.

There is a 1 bedroom adults only pigeonaire near the house ,it has its own private garden and spa pool . The pigeonaire does not share swimming pool or games area with the farmhouse .. Can be booked with farmhouse for extra guests.

Just outside the village of Pallauad, Lemonie is close to one of France's les plus beaux villages - "Aubeterre Sur Dronne" about 8kms away. The large village has several restaurants and a truly spectacular underground 13th Century monolithic church, and a river beach on the river Dronne. Other activities close by include Golf, kayaking ,tennis along with designated walking and cycling routes. Although rural, Lemonie is only 3kms from the village of Saint Severin which has all local amenities - spar shop open daily, pharmacy, French and Italian restaurants and bars and paper/tabac shop. The town of Riberac is 11kms away where all major French chain supermarkets operate.
The larger city of Angouleme is only 25kms distant on the river Charente with its ramparts and Cathedral! Cognac with its brandy houses and vineyards and the city of Bordeaux are all commutable for sightseeing with the Atlantic coast beaches and La Rochelle and Royan under 2 hours drive.
