Thanks Leigh, absolute pleasure having you and your family to stay, really glad you all enjoyed your holiday, Steve.
Lovely cottage in rural location, but near to local amenities (small shop and pubs). Fantastic local walks and bike trails. Great for forest, coast and only an hour from pen y fan. Cottage great for young families with secure enclosed garden and very comfy beds!

Hi Catherine and David,
thanks for leaving us such a great review, we've only just replaced the beds so very pleased with the positive feedback.
Hope to see you all again before too long,
regards
Steve and Cara.
My wife, I, and our cavvie had a great stay in Gorlech Cottage - plenty big enough for the 3 of us, a fully enclosed patio/mini-lawn area the hound can be let outside into without constant supervision and a very nice pub just down the road in Brechfa.
Would very much use again if/when we go back to the area!

The cottage is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped.
Steve is a great host, welcoming and approachable. We had a relaxing stay. The garden is secure for dogs which is really important for us. Highly recommended.

Steve & Cara were very welcoming - if you need anything just ask! Set in amongst the Welsh hills it's a beautiful spot and just right for walking, cycling etc. The community shop in Brechfa is great, so friendly and well stocked. The cottage is comfortable and has all you need for your stay. Thank you S&C

Thank you Rosemary for such a lovely review, it was an absolute pleasure to have you both to stay and we'd obviously be delighted to host you again. All the best Steve and Cara.
A beautiful little cottage, which actually isn't all that little! It was perfect for our family of three, and for entertaining the in-laws for dinner. It has a lovely garden with beautiful views. Our young son was beside himself with excitement at being able to watch some tractors at work when we arrived, and it is securely fenced, so we could allow our son and dog to play outside without worry. The kitchen is very well appointed, there is a lovely big dining table and comfy sofas in the living area, and the bedrooms were quiet and very comfortable. Honestly, we cannot fault it at all, and we look forward to staying again.
The perfect break after a stressful few weeks in work!
Beautiful walks nearby - the dogs loved these.
The accommodation is so quaint and relaxing. Well equipped will everything you will need - from teabags to sharp knives! Dishwasher and washing machine very handy features, too.
Owners were so lovely and respected our privacy whilst also being on hand should we have any queries.

Cottage was just as described. Lovely welcome from Cara. Good communication with Steve. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Quiet location; lots of walking close. We appreciated milk, tea and coffee provided.
Meal at the Farmers Arms was excellent. We’d definitely stay again.

Thanks Clare, sorry I wasn't around to say hello, but really pleased you enjoyed your stay, the Forest Arms is going from strength to strength, we're lucky! thanks again, Steve.
We had a lovely three night stay at Brechfa cottage. Beautifully cosy cottage perfect for three humans and a dog. Extremely helpful and friendly hosts made us feel very welcome. Very peaceful location close to Brechfa and Abergorlech (you can access forest walks from the latter). Both lovely villages with pubs. We had a lovely meal at the Forest Arms in Brecfa (book ahead), The Black Lion in Abergorlech is also supposed to be lovely but we left it too late and couldn't get a table. The beach at Llansteffan is beautiful, we also enjoyed the castle at Dinefwr and lunch at Wright's in Llanarthne! Lots to do in the area, what we loved was that it was so peaceful with great roads and really not very busy with loads of tourists and congested traffic. Would definitely recommend. Thank you, we loved our stay and the break did us good x

Lovely warm, comfortable cottage. Great for Joey dog too with good secure garden. Steve helpful and friendly. Wonderful location. Good walks almost from the door. Great local pub. Would definitely recommend, we intend visiting again soon. Thanks Steve.
We had a fantastic stay in the cottage and enjoyed the tranquility and amazing scenery of the local area. Steve was very friendly and on hand to help us throughout our stay (and even afterward as my partner left behind some items)! We had a wondeful mini break :)

Great location, comfortable cottage with lots of lovely touches. Hosts incredibly helpful when we had a family emergency. Steve gave us plenty of tips about where to go and what to do in the local area - 2 very good pubs close to the property.

Thanks for such a great review, really appreciated and we're delighted you all enjoyed yourselves so much, thanks.
Couldn’t fault our stay, would definitely return, has everything you need for a peaceful comfortable stay, seems a lot bigger inside. Views fantastic, would highly recommended. There’s a pub up the road that’s worth a visit Which serves lovely meals at a good price.
Steve happened to meet us in person with his adorable little dog Bodhi when we arrived at this amazing cottage, although he also has a great set up for contactless check in too. The cottage itself is perfect, really tastefully furnished and equipped with all the appliances and items you might need on your holiday. The beds are very comfortable and there’s loads of space to relax, inside and out. The location is incredible, right in the heart of Brechfa forest, only a few minutes cycle to the start of some brilliant purpose built mountain biking trails of varying difficulty (we also hired 2 really good mountain bikes from Steve for the day). It is also under an hour to New Quay in the north and Saundersfoot in the south of the area if you want to get to the coast. The weather was, let’s say unpredictable, but that didn’t stop us doing anything. I’m sure we only touched the surface in terms of stuff you can do in this area but we would love to return soon. Thanks again Steve for all of your help and recommendations too.

Lovely cottage and surroundings. Sid our rescued Spanish greyhound was made most welcome and love dog walking country. Love the little brown resident spaniel who loved a fuss and made friends with Sid. Thoroughly recommend 👌

Brilliant stay in a lovely cottage with lots to do!
We had a fantastic holiday. The cottage is tastefully decorated, with everything you need and a lovely warm atmosphere. You can't beat the location with gorgeous views across the valley to the wooded hills. Steve was a fantastic host. Always keen to help if needed, especially regarding local bike trails, things to do and hiring us a bike! We are definitely keen to return next year. Christine, Graham and Archie

Thanks Christine, absolute pleasure having you all to stay, see you next year!
We really had the best time in Wales. We were very spoilt with a lovely week of weather, but even so, the location of the property was surrounded by the beautiful Brechfa Forest which was so lovely to wake up to! The cottage was comfortable and ticked all our boxes with a lovely large table perfect for dinner time and board games. The outdoor space was great for our little dog and also looked out at the beautiful forest. Star gazing outside was also up there! Location wise we found it relatively close to the areas we wished to explore and also went to the owners three favourite beaches! We've been reminiscing this week and what a lovely break it was.... and would like to come back! Thank you to Stephen.

We had a great time here. The cottage has all you need and our hosts were helpful and friendly whilst respecting your privacy. A lot of the neighbouring trails were closed (likely Covid related) but the cottage is perfectly positioned to explore the Welsh coastline in any direction.
