We think this was our 8th time at this lovely barn which really says it all.
We think this was our 8th time at this lovely barn which really says it all. Has everything you need and a fabulous secure garden for dogs. Lots around the area to see and do. Ludlow Food Centre for local produce. Leintwardine has a garage with a great shop. We always wondered what it would be like if it snowed there, we found out when 5" fell during our stay. Nothing better than sitting in front of the wood burner all toasty. James is the perfect host. Another fabulous holiday here.

We have had holidays in cottages in UK and France for over 13 years, and this is probably the best! Superb barn conversion in a stunning rural setting on a working farm with superb views. The quality of the conversion is impressive, and the facilities are great (especially the power shower). All the equipment you could possibly want (even a pizza wheel), comfortable beds and a heating system that is so efficient we didn't bother lighting the woodburner... The owner is friendly and helpful, but not intrusive, and the welcome gift of wine and chocolates was appreciated.
Shropshire is underrated - it is a lovely part of the English countryside, with plenty to see and do.
We will certainly return to Mashers Barn.

Mashers Barn has been very well converted.
Mashers Barn has been very well converted. It is spacious, light and warm. There is so much equipment provided, for humans and dogs. For example, fans for hot weather and extra blankets for cold weather. In terms of kitchen utensils, the only thing we could have done with was a lemon squeezer, everything else we needed was there. The pillows aren't feather ones, so if that matters to you bring your own. The owner, James, is friendly and lives opposite so you can ask if you need anything. I would thoroughly recommend Mashers Barn, and I hope to visit again.

Sour week at Mashers Barn was exactly as described.
Sour week at Mashers Barn was exactly as described. Everything in the Barn was of a high standard of finish, from fixtures and fittings to bedding and garden furniture. Local amenities are non existent if you are looking for shops, cafes etc but these were not promised and that is what we were looking for - a break with family members where we shopped on day one and cooked for ourselves for the whole week. Lovely walks from the Barn and fantastic setting for enjoying the delights of the view. One of our party has mobility issues and walks with a frame and the Barn was perfect for him with downstairs bedroom and large bathroom. Very comfortable for four adults and secure garden ideal for our large dog. Will be back soon.

We had a most enjoyable week at Mashers Barn. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was spacious and well furnished with a dishwasher as well as a washing machine. There was comfortable garden furniture, a BBQ, in short, just about everything to make this a home from home. There was so much space outside in which to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding the property. Fabulous spot and great value for money.

The wood burning stove and unlimited firewood make it very warm in the colder months
No pubs or shops within walking distance but plenty within a short drive

We had an absolutely excellent experience at Mashers Barn.
We had an absolutely excellent experience at Mashers Barn. A very simple ‘check in’, the property was very clean and the owners have thought of many small details to make you feel welcome. An endless supply of firewood kept the barn cosy and warm, the showers and baths are excellent and the kitchen well appointed.
As a dog owner, it is sometimes difficult to find high class properties which also take dogs - Mashams Barn ticks both boxes, with a great, fully enclosed garden, a really useful boot room and fantastic walks from the door.
We will be back !

This was our first time at Masher's Barn, and the first Christmas on home soil for 20 years, so we wanted something different. It is a superb conversion with an impressive open plan living area complete with large log burner, comfy sofas and dining table for . Eaves-height glazing looks onto the large lawn which was secure, and just right for our elderly Labrador. James is an excellent host, leaving us to our own devices but popping-in on Christmas morning to ensure we had everything we needed. We had not expected the welcoming bottle of fizz and chocolates, let alone the Christmas decorations including a 12ft tree! Thank you James, we're sure to be back.

Spent a fantastic week here in September 2019.
Spent a fantastic week here in September 2019. The weather was very kind to us which made the local walks from the doorstep even more enjoyable. The property was perfect, nice and spacious and open plan lounge/diner/kitchen.
Located in quiet village, there are no shops within walking distance but a large fridge and a separate freezer meant we could stock up for the week in one shop.
The entrance into a tiled floor utility area was perfect for drying the dogs feet off before going into the living area. The walk in shower downstairs was amazing - powerful and hot, no issues with pressure or going cold half way through.
The secure, lawned garden was well maintained and had no worries about our two small dogs being able to escape. Managed to use the outside chairs and table on a few days which was a bonus for mid September - even needed to use the parasol to get some shade!
Views on walks were spectacular, I'll leave this short review with a view from halfway up the nearby hill overlooking the village.
Highly recommended and would definitely consider coming back in the future.

Our first impression of Mashers Barn was that it was tired.
Our first impression of Mashers Barn was that it was tired. We did not appreciate having to clear and clean the wood burner before we could use it nor did we think that to cover the oven trays in foil was a satisfactory substitute for proper cleaning. The bed linen was old fashioned and several plates had chipped edges. The leaflets and information were very out of date and when we spoke to the owner he was curt and although we understood that a working farm is demanding, a smile costs nothing, we were after all paying guests!! BUT this building deserves a decent review because of its location and it is an excellent Barn conversion, with good facilities. It is cosy, well designed and in many ways well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the boot room/laundry room was a boom when the dogs came in needing a rub down. Believe it or not we would revisit and we hope our comments will wake up the owner. It is sad that whoever is currently maintaining and cleaning this little gem is letting it deteriorate. Sorry to be so harsh.
