Accessed by a 2-mile drive, they are set on a working farm where sheep and cattle graze (farm machinery – children must be supervised) within the glorious North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Baysdale Abbey has been furnished and equipped to a very good standard. All rooms are spacious, light and airy with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Original wooden floors on the ground level blend with shuttered windows, cornices add decorative touches and open fires in the reception rooms provide a welcoming atmosphere. A large natural garden surrounds the house and is edged by a fenced beck, providing a good habitat for an array of wildlife. Dating back to the 1800s, the other three holiday properties offer character accommodation in a tranquil and idyllic location. Vaulted beamed ceilings and wood-burning stoves add to the charm and character providing a welcoming atmosphere. Offering 3 miles of sandy beaches is the historic port of Whitby with its picturesque harbour and cobbled streets. Here you can board the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train (Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films) and take a memorable journey through the stunning Esk Valley. Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall, Duncombe Park and Rievaulx Abbey are just a few of the treasures awaiting discovery. The coastal villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay and Sandsend all lie within 23 miles. This is an ideal holiday location at any time of the year. Shop 3 miles, pub 6 miles and restaurant 8 miles.

The house was amazing. Well stocked with kitchen equipment etc. Beautiful location. Walks every direction. Easy relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend for a large group. Thank you
We arrived on Friday to find a beautiful secluded property that was ideal for our family get together for my husbands 60th Birthday. The property was spacious, light and very clean. Lots of outside space too. All the rooms had lovely comfy beds with beautiful white bedding and towels. The kitchen was well equipped and the 2 dishwashers were a bonus! We went into Whitby on the Sunday which was about 40 mins drive away. Couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay.

We had a party of 15 family and friends for a special get together over a long weekend. Fabulous property with lots of rooms, lots of space and very well appointed kitchen.
The directions to the property could provide a little more detail to warn of the very long, climbing road up and over the hill. It feels like you are on the wrong road and suddenly you see the property in the valley beyond.
Worth preserving !
Fantastic location. Stunning scenery. And great house. Stayed with a group of friends and had a fabulous time. Would definitely recommend.

If you want to get away from it all then this place is perfect.
If you want to get away from it all then this place is perfect. It is a 2 1/2 mile drive from the road so is very remote.
The scenery and area is lovely and we all enjoyed getting our wellies/walking boots on and having a walk from the property.
Super well equipped for a large group with 2 cookers, 2 fridges and 2 dishwashers. We were there for a weekend so had our food shopping delivered so we didn't have to find a supermarket.
We hope to return.
