Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central hearing, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Small garden. On road parking. No smoking.. This terraced, former coastguard’s cottage is a few yards from The Mount with its uninterrupted views across Morecambe Bay. Fleetwood makes a good base to explore the Fylde Coast by car, tram or on the ferry across the Wyre to Knott End and Pilling marshes. Visit the Marine Hall and Gardens, Fleetwood Market, Freeport Outlet Shopping Village and marina, Fleetwood Museum and the beach. Blackpool is 9 miles away with Pleasure Beach, zoo, indoor water park, Sea Life Centre, waxworks and tower, or take a trip to Thornton, Cleveleys or Lytham St Annes, with golf courses, shops, bars and eateries. Wyre Estuary Country Park is 5 miles and within easy driving distance are the Lake District, Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales (about 1 hour). Lancaster and Preston about 50 minutes. Shop 400 yards, pub 50 yards, restaurant ½ mile.

A perfect place to stay.

A perfect place to stay. Lovely accommodation, everything thing you need . Very quiet. Really near the Bay, which has stunning views (not from house). Very clean and friendly area. A reasonable amount to see and do.

Lovely location, with some really nice walks.

Lovely location, with some really nice walks. Very comfy beds. The only problem we had was (though there was a string of lights on the mantlepiece) there were no lights on the Christmas Tree and no fire so it made that area very dark, whereas the rest of the cottage was very cozy. I wonder if the lamp behind the chair usually occupies the area where the Christmas Tree was. This would make that corner nice and light and would only impact that area at Christmas. Some light from the fire would really help to make the room more cozy. TV very basic. We would still recommend Coastguard Cottage but the things we`ve mentioned would really make a difference.

I have stayed several times here at the cottage. Each experience has been fantastic. I have loved it. The Mount pub across the way has meals at buy one get one free on a Monday Tuesday Wednesday. Such a cosy cottage to stay in, only fault was it was cold in the mornings when waking up, but I think this could be fixed by changing the heating times other than that a brill place very comfy and plenty of supplies included such as the basic towels, sugar, salt and pepper etc. Easy transport as it’s walking distance to town and either a bus or tram stop. Lovely area to walk about especially on the sea front and a recommended fish and chip shop in the area (ferry cafe). We were a family of 6 and a little dog, would recommend from a couple to a family wanting a peaceful holiday. Would definitely return thank you.

The cottage location is great.

The cottage location is great. The beach is less than 5 mins walk, the coast is lovely and the Mount (practically on the doorstep) provides great views and a place for children to run off energy before bed. Trams nearby (10 mins walk) provide convenient transport to Blackpool. A welcoming church just round the corner too. The cottage itself was fine.
