This is really an excellent little cottage.
This is really an excellent little cottage. It has all one needs for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped, shower in the bathroom is good, the bed is soft and cosy and the sitting room on the top floor has a comfortable sofa and a great view. WiFi is good, radio and TV work well. It's easy to stay here without a car, because it is five minutes from buses and railway station.

Lovely house with everything we needed, had our daily workout with the stairs, but that wasn't a problem, stayed Xmas time an owner's had a tree up for us, and left us flowers and some treats, so thank you to Michelle, also thanx to Sam as the house was spotless. We will definitely be returning x

This house is very narrow, but well planned and really comfortable.
This house is very narrow, but well planned and really comfortable. There was everything we needed for the week. The bedroom/shower room arrangement is a little unconventional but east to work with.
Town, shops and other amenities couldn't be closer but we had no impact from noise at all. The view from the lounge is lovely.
A meal in the The Ship on the harbour was excellent and felt reassuringly covid safe. The Blue Pig and Anchor was less good but not terrible.
The walk from the harbour along the sea defence wall is easy and plenty of wildlife to see. There are many places within easy reach by car we particularly enjoyed Beaulieu with a lovely walk to Bucklers Head

It's a delightfully quirky property - not good if you don't do stairs! The view from the 2nd floor living room makes it very special. It's well equipped and everything is clean and fresh. The central heating was a boon on rainy days. There was even a resident's parking permit.

We had a lovely time at Bosuns Locker.
We had a lovely time at Bosuns Locker. A sort of pseudo-lighthouse with great views over the quay. Lovely bright living room, very comfortable bed, wonderful kitchen -- and the Locker is perfectly located between the high street and the quay. We recommend picking up a crab from Seafayre Seafoods just down the road!

The Bosuns Locker is a quirky property right in the centre of Lymington.
The Bosuns Locker is a quirky property right in the centre of Lymington. Fantastic views across the estuary and harbour from the top floor living room.
Everything is provided including milk & tea bags for that important cuppa on arrival. The property is clean and well kept making for an enjoyable stay.
The town centre is literally on the door step and the provision of a parking permit means there are no worries when it comes to parking.
Would definitely recommend The Bosuns Locker if you are planning a stay in the beautiful New Forest.

A well appointed and comfortable house for two.
A well appointed and comfortable house for two. The top floor gives panoramic views over harbour. The quality of its refurbishment reflects the architectural profession of its owner. If you fancy yourself as an artist then you need look no further for subject and materials, yes it comes with complimentary artists materials!
Only problem was trying to park outside when arriving and leaving, street very narrow and quite busy. However, let comes with a parking 'clock' that enables you to park around the town without any further costs: just remember to move on when your 20 hours is up.

Lovely, unique little house in the heart of Lymington.
All mod cons, very clean and stunning views of the harbour from the top floor lounge.
You have to like stairs and you have to be relaxed about no door-step parking (although the owner provides plenty of suggestions).
Thoroughly recommended.

Hi (cottage owner),
Just a quick note to say everything went well.
Hi (cottage owner),
Just a quick note to say everything went well.
We particularly liked the little touches like flowers, dish washer and washing tabs, extra toilet roll etc. It frequently annoys me when you pay several hundred pounds and the property owners are too mean to include small details like this. Your efforts in this department just make you stand out from the rest.
The maps and collections of local walks are really useful too as was the parking permit and map of parking locations - we didn’t use the parking permit and although we did well over 50 miles of walking our car never moved all week and we used public transport.
Thanks for a lovely week.

We loved this little cottage, located close to the quay and the centre of town, with its interesting shops and plenty of good eating places. Great view from the top room over the river. You have to not mind going up and down a spiral staircase rather a lot as the house has kitchen at the bottom, then bedroom, then sitting room. Well equipped, and individual, more like borrowing someone's home than staying in a generic holiday let. Only problem is the parking but good advice is provided by the owners. Highly recommended if you don't mind the staircase.
