Good potential but poor condition
This house has lots of character and has great potential. It is spacious and the kitchen and bathrooms are in great condition. However, the bedrooms were in quite poor condition and need improving. Most of the windows didn't open so the house got very stuffy and was a fire risk (the only exit is the front door, next to the kitchen). Some of the curtains were ripped or didnt close, and wallpaper was peeling from the walls in most rooms. Some of the doors didnt shut properly or had handles hanging off. The bedroom with 4 single beds was unusable because it was full of flies. The listing also needs updating. The top floor single bedroom is out of use due to redecoration and there is no available garden. There is also no wifi, which would be an issue for many.

Great location and lovely house.
Great location and lovely house. Everything within walking distance and we didn’t even need to use the car. Everything you need to cook for a large family in the kitchen and High chair. No WiFi or Netflix but really not needed as so much to do in the area and allows you to focus on each other rather than the tele or Facebook !! Proper family time !! I would describe staying at Maes Gywn has visiting Granny for a week.
I would describe staying at Maes Gywn has visiting Granny for a week. The location is suburb and young ones will enjoy the many rooms and differences in each. The more seasoned traveler may find the quaintness of the property doesn't balance out some of its deficiencies. However, we found it a great rambling place that can sleep lots of people and is well placed to explore North Wales. There was no wifi and only one shower which might upset some. Recommended.

Lovely location, lovely old house.
Lovely location, lovely old house. Could do with a coat of paint on woodwork, and the top floor is very shabby but it’s clean. The beds on the top floor need renewing very uncomfortable. Best thing about the house is the communal space excellent for eating together and sitting together. Lovely touches like pushchair, cot and high chair which makes it ideal for extended family get together. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
