Beautiful property. Very isolated spot but perfect for our needs with our very nervous dog . If you are looking for a rural retreat we would highly recommend Bequia cottage.

Stunning cottage with amazing views.
Stunning cottage with amazing views. Nice, cosy and out of the way of every day life! Owners and pets are lovely. I haven't rated local amenities because I knew we were away from it all, so unfair to judge on that. We will be back.
Cannot fault the cottage which was presented to a very high standard and well equipped. The location was beautiful with stunning views but quite remote with no facilities within reasonable walking distance. One minor point is the acceptance of a dog but then significant restrictions on where the dog can go in the cottage. It was almost furnished to a standard that should really have excluded pets. Owners were in the main house on site and welcoming so overall it was a very pleasant stay.

What can I say.
What can I say. Bequia was by far the nicest accommodation I have ever stayed in. It was in the middle of beautiful scenery. Didn’t find a shop close by but probably is one somewhere, so relaxing and quiet. We went out exploring in the day, Carding mill valley is a must, then light the fire and enjoyed the cottage at night. It was very spacious, the dining room is enormous and everything in the kitchen you could ask for. Bequia was spotlessly clean, we had initial logs for fire, the bed was very comfy. Loved the layout, it’s so well designed. Just looking forward to going back.

A lovely cottage with beautiful views.
A lovely cottage with beautiful views. Perfect place for a relaxing getaway. It is well isolated for a more rural and intimate feel, yet if desired, several places of interest to visit are within a 30-minute drive. The cottage itself sleeps 4, thought there were only 2 of us and is well sized and very nicely refurbished and decorated. The kitchen is perfectly adequate for any visitors. There are natural beams throughout, and the only thing to watch out for is that these are low in the toilets, so watch your head :) - The owner is very welcoming and friendly. In these Covid times, the cottage was exceptionally clean and social distancing was not an issue. The only slight comment would be that for an hour or so mid-afternoon, it got cool as the heating goes off, but in fairness, the information booklet does say that you can just ring and ask for the heating to be on permanently. Would highly recommend for a relaxation holiday

This is a great little cottage in (very) rural Shropshire.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location with wonderful views.
Beautiful cottage in a stunning location with wonderful views. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating, ably assisted by their delightful canine friend. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage for the peace and tranquility of its setting and the ability to take some lovely walks directly from its location. Ideal central situation for exploring all that Shropshire has to offer.

The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable to stay in.
The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable to stay in. We really liked the open plan downstairs sitting/kitchen area but the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are small with sloping beamed ceilings, although there was still enough room for the 4 of us, including two teenagers. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and were fantastic about looking in on our dog when we had to leave him on his own one day to attend a family wedding. We loved the location - so quiet and the views are fantastic. Other reviewers have commented about the remote location, but that's what we wanted and as long as you are prepared to chill out and drive slowly around the narrow twisty roads (as you will meet tractors and the other occasional car/cyclist/walker) then there's no problem. Don't be precious about your car though, as we acquired several scratches from the overgrown hedges which line all of the roads. Walking around the lanes is fine, but all of the local paths across fields involved tackling overgrown stiles so we didn't find them particularly dog or people friendly. Walking up and around the Long Mynd is spectacular, but many of the paths are stony and narrow and you need to go early if you don't want to be walking in a queue as it's very popular. Overall though this is the perfect spot to unwind and get away from the stresses of day to day life.
